Fishing From The Bank - Drop Shot For Panfish - Sunfish

- Can CZcams help me become a better fisherman? Today I am fishing from the bank for panfish. I am using a drop shot with a small piece of worm to overcome a tough bite. When I can't seem to find any bass (like this week) I turn my attention to bluegills and sunfish. On this trip, I manage to catch about 6 long ear sunfish. They really have beautiful colors! I am surprised that I didn't catch any other species. When you can't seem to find any fish, fishing a drop shot with a worm can usually find something. In this case, it's a school of long ear sunfish.
Once again I am using my Shimano Sienna. You can check one out here: amzn.to/2rEQ0PY - Sport
Longear Sunfish! I have yet to catch that one for my Species list. Hah. Keep on catching them, bro! Tight lines from Philly!
They are really colorful this time of year! Thanks for watching Leo!
Beautiful colors on those sunfish!
Probably the most colorful fish in the lake :)
That first one you caught was a Longear. Beautiful fish and great flathead bait. Tight lines!
Pretty sure they are all long ears :)
Those were so nice I'd take them home and set up a 150 gallon fish tank up to display them.
They would look nice 👍
There are real gorgeous looking fish those Sunfish!!! Caught that last one before it bucketed down on you!!! Take care and tight lines!!!
Most colorful fish in the lake! Thanks for watching Rodney!
I love fishing for sunfish with ultralight gear and all we have here in Nevada are greenies and bluegills! Would love to fly east some days and fish for longears and pumpkinseeds! Great video...Thanks!
Thanks Kenny 👍
good bait
I had a feeling you would say that!
and just in time as the rain hit
Like the colors on those sunfish!
They really are nice looking. Thanks for watching!
I think I’ll try this next time I go out. The wind has been playing havoc with bobbers.
those longears are some awesome colored fish!
The really are, they look exotic.
Those were some pretty sunfish. Great work out there.
Thanks man!
Sunfish are fun! I found a local lake full of them near where I live.
Get out there and get some! 👊
Realistic Fishing Oh , we did! My son and I caught a bunch of them, and I got a bonus Largemouth dink. 🙂
Awesome Fish 🐟
Cool video 😎
Another great video. Thx!
Thanks Dennis!
太阳鱼好🐠
Sunfish! 👍
pumpkinseeds are so pretty!
Someone schooled me on whether these are Pumpinseeds or Long Ear Sunfish. Turns out they are Long Ears since they don't have red ears. :)
Long eared Sunfish, very pretty! :) Thanks
Nice video Realistic!!!! The struggle is real my friend lol the rock Bass here are like piranha, no matter what I throw in the water I can't get anything but Rock Bass I actually fished for them the other day it has definitely been killing my confidence started throwing the biggest lures I have and still tiny rock Bass will take it Hopefully fishing picks up for both of us I would really enjoy hooking up with a big Bass :) Those were really pretty sunfish Great colors on them
Thanks! I hope fishing improves as well. :)
Its been tough my way too for the fishing. We need more rain here . its the driest I've seen it in three years. Them long ear sunfish was brightly illuminated nice fishing!
They look tropical! Its like I am fishing in Florida or something :)
Great video as always, nice pan fishing action buddy!
Thanks MH, I like my panfish.
Realistic Fishing There fun to fish for👍
Long Eared Sunfish. First one I have seen this year!! One of my favorites. I will be making a video featuring these beautiful little guys as soon as our rivers run down from the floods. You made my day. Thanks, Jerry.
I am glad you enjoyed. I was happy to find this school of em. :)
Beautiful fish!
Really colorful, they look tropical!
cool looking fishes , nice video
Beautiful fish! It looks like a piranha.
Really colorful!
I tied on a spilt shot just the other week. Lol. Great minds think alike.
Atta boy!
great video
Thanks Hop!
For some reason I seem to have better luck using a float for sunfish. And as much as I love sticking with my 1/16 oz jigheads, if I'm using worms, a #4 aberdeen using 1/3 up to the whole worm threaded on has been catching me tons more than with the jighead.
Float fishing means you see the bite. No float forces you to feel the bite. Its practice for other styles of finesse fishing.
That makes sense.
And here I thought I was the only one that fished for sunfish during my slumps lol
You aint the only one 👍
Beautiful videos, wonderful scenery. Very good work. congratulations. Like.
Thank you for watching Roberto!
Beautiful sunfish.
Amazing colors on those Longears!
👍
Those sunfish were beautiful. I don't even think I've ever actually seen one
not a bad bunch of sunfish
Thanks for watching WRM!
I never miss a video.
I appreciate it
In our fishery we always use earthworm, California we import from Of your country.
Worms are hard to beat for bait. :)
Nice SunFish. Always fun. Good times. Fish on!
Thanks man, panfish need love too. You got anything new up? I am gonna go check.
Those fish have the coolest colors! That rain came down fast glad you got to the car quickly.
Sometimes you gotta run! lol.

Nice video. I should take a day and try for some panfish.
Fishing for the same fish over and over can be boring. Especially if you can't find em. :)
Well, I almost hate to say it, but finding them hasn't become a problem yet this year.
Loosing baits and reel malfunctions on the other hand...
We are in that awkward post spawn time over here. I think they are taking a break, but they will be back.
I guess. This is so much looking like last year. After the spawn, the size of the average fish caught kept getting smaller and smaller. Once summer was here and the water weeds were up, seems all the fish just disappeared. Right now if I don't catch 10 or more * bass each trip, I think I had a bad day. By July, 2 fish in a day is a good day.
* Advantages of fishing a private lake; little fishing pressure, no fish management.
I don't have that luxury. For me a 2 bass day is great anytime. lol
Those Sunfish are beautiful. I've been so desperate to catch anything lately, I've been giving in to the bullheads.
I used to catch bullheads on bread balls. What do you use?
i really enjoyed your video and how you appreciate the fish after every catch. Keep it up you got my thumbs up!
Thanks!
Those long ears are beautiful, they were lit up like neon lights. Awesome bro!
Thanks man, The really are works of art.
You keep it simple dude and do a great 👍 job ....preciate the info , keep catching um🎣
Too much hype out there, I like to keep it realistic 👍 Thanks for watching Army Angler
Great vid like always bro Right On keep posting
Thanks SF!
I've never caught a sunfish before 🤣🤣🤣 totally gonna try it out. looks like they put up a good fight
They are fun to catch for sure!
Love your channel bro! Keep it up!
Thanks!
Love the video my friend!
Thanks my friend
My best luck I've had when nothing else works is finding a dock that goes deep and dropping live bait straight off the side, hugging close to the foundation. There's always a few bluegill or such hanging around there 👊🏻
I am always happy to fish docks. You never know what you might find 👍
I've been having the same luck this week... 👍🏻 glad you knocked the skunk off!
Man, its rough out there and I don't know why. Its like everything disappeared.
Pretty fish!
Beard!
Awesome video
Thanks BTv!
Any tips for getting the fish stank off your hands after catching, handling, and/or cleaning?
Dish Soap is what I like the best.
how do the heck do you tie your knots!
improved cinch and palomar
Where is this lake?
TN
its always... "One more...one more.. one more" hahah
Super cool colors on those long ear spawning colors I think right anyway great vid looking forward to the nxt one and good luck out there
Thanks Dan, you da man!
I'm lucky where I live there are 7 lakes 3 rivers 42 streams to fish within a hours drive so if ones slow there are options
Thats is lucky. I have 2 lakes that I know of within 1 hour.
It's so rough when we can't find them. Then pan fish are more then welcome :)
Panfish keep me sane ;)
dude i’ll pay you to share this location with me. Trying to add these to my native tank
I dont do favors for money 😅
Hows the kastking
As good as it was a week or two ago :)
i just dont wanna buy it and it be garbage compared to the abu garcia
Honestly, I like the Abu Garcia better. The main reason is that my first KastKing was wot working correctly after 2 months. It could have been bad luck, or it could have been junk. Who knows right?
🍻
Woo!
👍👍✌
Great Video, those are some really exotic looking fish that was cool!
left a Like... Like always!!! ; )
Thanks KRPB... in Cincinnati.

Yup, sometime you just have to catch something :)
I can understand that this year has been some crazy weather that seem to make the bite impossible at times.
6 on the drop shot! Nice man!
Those were some cool looking sunfish. Nice job beating rain too lol.
Nothing like some realistic and a hot cup of ☕️
