I would definitely try not to take it personal when people leave mean or negative comments. I feel like that's more of a reflection on that person. Hurt people hurt people.

I think your opening comments about comparison being the thief of joy is really important. I’ve been following you for your entire CZcams journey and love your channel and am so happy for you. Seeing another woman and especially a young woman going into business and succeeding while being humble enough to openly share their questions and struggles is a representation of the best of us 👏👏 But people should understand that within the reselling realm it doesn’t all have to look the same. You do not have to focus on 100% sell through rate and own an off site business (out of your home) with multiple employees to be successful. I work from home and do not focus on high sell through rate items. It’s just me and my husband so I do have part time help through him. We support our whole family. I have the same sell through rate as your store (I’m also primarily in used clothing)and make enough for us to be comfortable and have savings. There are many ways to do things in this business. I think it’s important for your viewers to know that and kudos to you for continuing to make that point so as to encourage everyone in their business 🌻

Girl $370k in sales is not just "pretty good" that is amazing! Give yourself more credit for your accomplishments! And there are a lot of trolls in the youtube comments. Don't pay them any attention I guarantee they are not doing better than you.

Hi Caylee. Thank you for all of your hard work. It definitely shows. You deserve all of the success. We all see how hard you work. I live in LA and do have great inventory out here. I started a poshmark closet in Spring of 2023, as a second income stream just as a way to pay for a medication that wasn’t covered under my insurance. Wanted to make $250 a month. I have by far surpassed that, and have a second form of income. Hope to use that money for trips and different fun experiences in the future. Best of luck making half a million in 2024.🎉

I'm suuper late watching this video, sorry, I've been dealing with health stuff....Anyhow, I want to first say, thank you for being so open with us regarding what is working for you, it's extremely inspiring. Also, in regards to the negative comments, you are doing us a huge service by sharing your specific journey, ups and downs. People can be intimidated by a strong independent women and that is their problem, not yours. Keep doing you boo, there are 31K and counting people that are rooting for you.

I love this. We have to absorb what we can from each other but work within our own control and environment. I watch a lot of CZcams videos and every once in a while I see someone else who source and find 20-30 items so easily and it gets me down. I then remember that's not my story and I can STILL be so happy for that person but need to work with what I'm capable of. Keep doing what you're doing. You are a model for us!

Hi! $15,000 is actually my goal for the year (I'm a newbie looking to pay more on student loans) About how much do you list a day? If you don't mind me asking...I work a 9-5 so I am looking to make a realistic goal for myself doing this part time.
@@sararinckel Hi! Of course! So I work full time, have 2 kids under 5, and just finished my PhD back in October. I started Poshmark because it was low overhead for me. I started listing from my own closet, then friends and family donated. Then I thrifted from second hand stores and garage sales. My current inventory is 3730 items. I did live sales heavily for 2-3 months when I could afford it. So 1/3 of my sales came from there. But now I only do listings. There were times when I listed 30 items a day. But the past month I set a weekly goal of 20 items a day and 6 days a week.
Know your schedule. Know your limitations. And know your strength. Work around them.
For me, because of my job and kids, my schedule is highly unpredictable. I photograph all my items on the weekend morning. Either Saturday or Sunday. Then I list usually either before my kids wake up or after they sleep, and here and there when I find time.
Some days I cannot commit. But then I do at least 5 listings. I compensate that the next day. Also I put a time limit when I'm photographing. For example, after I put my baby to sleep, I know he will wake up in 1 or 1.5h😁 I prepare my items to be photographed the night before, so when my baby is taking a nap, I know that I need to photograph 1 item in max 2 minutes. I put timer and with with that. It motivates me

@@alternativewardrobe Thanks! That is similar to what I am doing now. Prepping, photographing, measuring, bagging over the weekend...listing on my lunch break at work every day. I only have about 250 listings right now and sell about 1-3 items a day on average. So this gives me an idea on what to shoot for. Thanks! :)
I only write a comment occasionally but you deserve one. I think you are incredible with what you share with us,I’m really appreciative so thank you. I’ve just sold a decent coat on eBay for 99p 🇬🇧but I still love selling it makes me feel good that someone just got a bargain. I’m clearing out the old stuff and can’t wait to get the new. People just get jealous when someone is doing well. Please ignore them, they are not worth your time. Good luck this next year.

Thank you for all the helpful information you provide. I always enjoy learning about new brands and your strategies for selling. The thing I've learned is that now that people can hide behind a keyboard, they've given themselves the go-ahead to say hateful and hurtful things. Most would never be ballsy enough to say it to someone in person. You are such a kind person and the only opinions you need to worry about are the opinions of people you care about and that care about you. Everyone else can go suck it 😂❤❤

It’s hard not to focus on those two negatives when you have 1000 positives. It’s funny how human natures like that. That said, I highly recommend blocking people who are detrimental. There’s a difference between constructive criticism and voicing your opinion, and being mean, and people who are mean, obviously have other issues in their life where they need to reflect that on other people which is sad. Those people need to just be blocked and disposed of from the channel. I appreciate everything you do and you are by far my favorite channel.

FWIW- I am an OG reseller but enjoy listening to content while I work. Keeps me focused and gives me a sense of community, if that makes any sense at all. Lol. You are one of the few, VERY few, that I can listen to. I truly enjoy your channel & am always happy to see when youve posted new content.

I've always loved your content! I recommended you to be a coach in the other mentorship program before I knew you were starting your own group :) I know you'll be the best mentor and coach! I started watching you in 2021 when I started and I remember saying to you on a live "I shipped 4 today and I felt like a queen walking into the post office" haha. I don't think I could handle the mean comments. Your channel offers 'free' advice. I don't personally want to be as busy as your are. I'm 63 years old and retired from my last job (29 years) as an executive director. Even though you and I are on a MUCH different level of reselling - I still enjoy watching your channel because I learn from you. I appreciate all the information you provide resellers. Thank you. And yeah-delete the mean comments!!!!!!!! 😃
Love how you opened up about your income sources. And that not all your eggs are in reselling (so-to-speak). To be honest, I would not suggest newbie’s throw themselves into reselling full-time. If you are doing it yourself, reselling can be a great side gig. I wish I had (or could find) full time work that I enjoy, and do ebay selling on the side. That’s a winning combination (full time/reliable income, plus ebay selling on the side).

Hi, just here to say that I actually really admire and respect you for the fact that you don't delete comments that disagree with you. If I go to a CZcamsr's comment section and there is nothing but "PoSiTiVe ViBeS" and people fawning over how amazing they are, it's a big red flag to me. It's super cult-like and shows that the content creator only wants an echo chamber and isn't open to constructive criticism, different points of view, or learning from others. Often criticism is presented as "negativity" or "haters," but this is untrue and is essentially just toxic positivity. Your take on free speech here is refreshing, so thank you!
That being said, would it be worth it for your mental health to just have someone else comb through the comments and delete blatant bullying, harassment, etc.?

What big processes little tweaks in your business did you cut out to help simplify things? (Asking for a friend 😉)
One of our biggest ones last year was taking a photo of the sku during the photo process so the item could immediately be put away and we would have all the info we need for the listing.
What will I learn from the group and how long it takes? I’m looking to increase my sell price per item and learn to buy the items that going to sell.

1 if the time flexible ?
2 is the price the are same for resellers who want to make more of less income ( for example if I want to make $50K will be the same with someone else who wants to make $100K?)
3. Will you introduce resellers who join the group to your wholesalers who sell the goods inventory that going to sell for good profits?
@allstylesresselling8816 1. Live call times are the same every week (few exceptions). Replays are available to watch at any time. Occasionally we do other random calls (like live listing calls) whenever we see a large need from the group.
2. The price is the same for every member. Our goal is to help resellers achieve their goals and the help we provide can be applied at any level.
3. We do not provide sourcing sources but will teach you steps you can take to find them on your own. We do have some people in our group that are becoming wholesalers and they are finding buyers in our group but that happened organically and it isn't something I'm going to promise. I'm not sure if you watched the wholesale interview with Shelly that I recently uploaded but there is a Facebook group she runs that you can join at anytime and try to connect with a whoelsaler.

Do you wash the clothes before shipping. I just got into clothing and I sold a Johnny Was blouse for 151. The buyer said it was either worn or dirty. I said it was preowned and I looked it over very well and did the smell test. I think she was having buyers remorse. I don’t sell stained clothing unless I describe it as such. She is returning the item for a refund.
I only wash or steam if needed. Most items are donated clean and most buyers will wear before washing.
Where do you find your employees? Do all your employees work in house or remotely? Also what kind of experience do you look for when hiring?
Not sure if you're in the Mentorship group but we have a video in there about hiring and will be adding more. Unfortunately it's hard to go into all of the details via a CZcams comment. Here's a summary of your questions:

3. Lots of things but one in particular is a fast paced work environment
If you're looking for a part time worker, I've found if you talk with retail workers a lot of the time they want more hours or a better place to work. It's best to find someone who is somewhat busy, it shows they can manage time well. If you need a full time worker I'm not too sure.

Learn about different brands, learn the tips and tricks, and it seems like an enjoyable job. I’ve only sold around 9 items since October so I have a long ways to go before I need an employee lol
@@jenniferwhitehead9595 Cayleys group would be a good place to start. TBH I wouldn’t hire someone with ambitions of doing their own reselling. It’d be creating a knowledgeable reseller in your back yard.
Wholeselling hasnt been a thng in reselling because sourcing is the funnest part of reselling to almost 90 percent of resellers.
It’s funny but I really could care less about the numbers. We have nothing in common there. 🤣
I enjoy most learning new brands more than anything and then the mechanics of eBay. Just saying. lol

U get multiple people offering 😊u wholesell, but most of us dont and cant find reliable wholesell lots aide from junk boxes.
There is a new wave of people becoming wholesalers where they are thrifting for other resellers. There are reliable sources out there now and more people getting into it every day. You just have to connect with them.
Does the store review help determine the reason for the slowest sell through rate in history??

I agree. I have contemplated it for awhile.
Negative comments simply to troll add zero value. I see nothing wrong with removing those and the authors from your channel.
You should allow ONLY your subscribers comment that way they have to pay to be rude to you at least you can get their money haha people suck so stick it back to them by making them pay you
Just some thoughts, feel free to leave them if it doesn't resonate. But, if you're not willing to take advice from other resellers what makes you think your advice is worth giving? I've enjoyed your videos but it just seems a bit odd that you'd say that as someone who has a channel giving reselling tips. Why would someone listen to you if you think other advice is bad or unhelpful?
I do not think everyone else is giving bad advice. I was stating that I had to turn off the other voices and opinions so that I could focus on what would work for me. I think binge watching a bunch of reselling content (mine included) is not good for resellers. If you're constantly hearing new ideas and getting pulled in a million different directions, you can never focus on what will work best for your business.
I think bad advice hurts new resellers, but it's also irritating and frustrating for experienced resellers, so I hope she does start blocking people.
