071s cross at Edgeworthstown.mpg

From memory, recorded circa 2007. Calling in at Edgeworthstown station it was apparent a passenger train of some description was iminent. For some twenty minutes before the first arrival came into view, the GM two stroke drone from it's 071 class diesel could be heard as it ascended the climb from Longford. Here, a Dublin bound train arrives first, followed by one for Sligo. Services on this line were this impressive class's real passenger service swansong.
