    So good to see such a forward thinking train of thought in motorcycle clothing design. Love the collar sizing idea and as a former member of a Search & Rescue Team absolutely yes to layering. The MC community are so far behind in that regard. Great video and thanks for sharing your thoughts.

    Right on point, when I discovered AS, I loved the idea of layering. During our 17 day hiking, it was crucial the layering concept. I’m medium, and the AS garments I have fit me perfectly, the single track jacket is out of stock , as soon as it’s on stock, I’ll be ordering it. Thanks Greg for the awesome information!

    Hey Greg
    Nicely explained thanks. Do you also have a waterproof pant going with the waterproof jacket layer? I like long distance travelling let’s say from Switzerland to England where the weather can change quite often. I like the idea of the whole layering system and I‘m thinking of getting the Supershirt together with the Linesman jacket and pant and the waterproof jacket. It would be nice if there would also be a waterproof pant to complete the setup.
    The whole sizing is a bit of a challenge for me, cause I got a bit of a belly but shoulders are not that huge.
    Is it possible to send back stuff that not fits and exchange it? Thanks for your response. Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭

      @adventurespec  Před rokem +1

      Hi there! Thanks for this.
      Yes you can return things which don't fit as long as they aren't damaged. Waterproof pant wise we are always developing products so we'll look at this in the future 😊

  • @stevesabandar8260
    @stevesabandar8260 Před rokem +2

    Since the Supershirt is the abrasion layer, you only need 3 layers: supershirt (protection against crashes) baltic hybrid (cold) en the waterproof layer. So you could do without the Linesman jacket, right?

    • @adventurespec
      @adventurespec  Před rokem +1

      You are correct Steve! This is an example that we should have included in the film, sorry about that. I (Greg) use the Supershirt / Baltic Insulated / Singletrack combo in winter to good effect. :-)

    So the problem is by chest size I am at the upper end of medium. You only had a large size super shirt so I got it. My shoulders rub rather firmly into the protection. Not to the point of I wanted to send it back but it leaves my torso looking rather baggy. So where does that leave with the rest of the clothing line?

    • @adventurespec
      @adventurespec  Před rokem

      Hi George, the best thing to do is measure yourself and then check against our sizing chart: www.adventurespec.com/blog/tracks-1/how-our-sizing-works-35 we have broken down the difference between the items on this page. Thanks

    Is your clothing sized more Klim type fitting (looser/American) or Rev'it (slimmer/European)?

    • @jayevers5322
      @jayevers5322 Před rokem

      For reference I run on the top side of Klim's medium, Carlsbad jacket, and on the bottom side of AdvSpec's large, Linesman and Atacama. They have a similar fit for the sizing I am wearing. Hope this helps, as I almost never wear my Klim jacket anymore.

    Im Tall and skinny 6ft 3 (190cm). Arm legth is 80cm, chest 98, waist 92. Will the linesman jacket in M be too short for my body length? Is size L better? Should I eat more Burgers?

    This video on made sizing more complicated as I'm ordering from US and want to get it right. I plan to just wear base layer and Leatt Armor underneath. Is the jacket sized to account for armor underneath? WIll cost me double the money to have to send back for exchange

    • @adventurespec
      @adventurespec  Před 7 měsíci

      Hi Erik, the best thing to do is put your armour on and then measure yourself against this chart: www.adventurespec.com/blog/tracks-1/how-our-sizing-works-35
      Also we do free exchanges so it won't cost you

      Folks, a great informative video. Could I suggest that when folks buy the layers they feedback key measurements to adventure spec of themselves ie I am
      6’ 3”
      100 kgs,
      34” leg length,
      38” waist ,
      42” at belly button ,
      46” chest,
      21” from armpit to wrist
      And I bought xl versions of product and find they all fit with ease and not baggy and even if you have time take photos to show.
      It might be a bit of a faff but maybe if adventure spec offers 5% discount for the info or similar , could a database be formed up to allow people to get the right gear first time??
