So good to see such a forward thinking train of thought in motorcycle clothing design. Love the collar sizing idea and as a former member of a Search & Rescue Team absolutely yes to layering. The MC community are so far behind in that regard. Great video and thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Thanks for watching!
Very thoughtful video. Thanks.
Great explanation Greg 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻 will be ordering very soon 👍🏻
Thanks Pete!
Cool thanks. Everything I needed to know. Looking forward to the trousers version regarding knee protection in particular.
Great to read, thanks Charlie
Cheers, really helpful and beautifully explained !
Thanks Jon!
Right on point, when I discovered AS, I loved the idea of layering. During our 17 day hiking, it was crucial the layering concept. I’m medium, and the AS garments I have fit me perfectly, the single track jacket is out of stock , as soon as it’s on stock, I’ll be ordering it. Thanks Greg for the awesome information!
Thanks for this! Layering is definitely key.
If you have a chance to leave this comment on our website we'd appreciate it (the plus at the bottom of the product page) thank you
Very well explained.Your products are known to be well thougt out.
Unfortunately I had another choice in the past. But in future....😉
Maybe next time then Ralf 👌
Thanks for the video ...
sounds kinda pretty much like 1:1 questions I bothered the support a few days ago 😅
Here to help! Thanks for watching
Good video very helpful, if only you had some stock been trying to buy for months always out of stock.
We have a regular supply of new stock coming through from our factory. Sorry that what you are looking for has not been available. We send out updated stock info via our newsletter first: www.adventurespec.com/subscribe
Hey Greg
Nicely explained thanks. Do you also have a waterproof pant going with the waterproof jacket layer? I like long distance travelling let’s say from Switzerland to England where the weather can change quite often. I like the idea of the whole layering system and I‘m thinking of getting the Supershirt together with the Linesman jacket and pant and the waterproof jacket. It would be nice if there would also be a waterproof pant to complete the setup.
The whole sizing is a bit of a challenge for me, cause I got a bit of a belly but shoulders are not that huge.
Is it possible to send back stuff that not fits and exchange it? Thanks for your response. Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭
Hi there! Thanks for this.
Yes you can return things which don't fit as long as they aren't damaged. Waterproof pant wise we are always developing products so we'll look at this in the future 😊
Since the Supershirt is the abrasion layer, you only need 3 layers: supershirt (protection against crashes) baltic hybrid (cold) en the waterproof layer. So you could do without the Linesman jacket, right?
You are correct Steve! This is an example that we should have included in the film, sorry about that. I (Greg) use the Supershirt / Baltic Insulated / Singletrack combo in winter to good effect. :-)
So the problem is by chest size I am at the upper end of medium. You only had a large size super shirt so I got it. My shoulders rub rather firmly into the protection. Not to the point of I wanted to send it back but it leaves my torso looking rather baggy. So where does that leave with the rest of the clothing line?
Hi George, the best thing to do is measure yourself and then check against our sizing chart: www.adventurespec.com/blog/tracks-1/how-our-sizing-works-35 we have broken down the difference between the items on this page. Thanks
Is your clothing sized more Klim type fitting (looser/American) or Rev'it (slimmer/European)?
For reference I run on the top side of Klim's medium, Carlsbad jacket, and on the bottom side of AdvSpec's large, Linesman and Atacama. They have a similar fit for the sizing I am wearing. Hope this helps, as I almost never wear my Klim jacket anymore.
What are your measures? To have something to work from, I think I am close to a small myself.
Check out this page for measurements! www.adventurespec.com/blog/tracks-1/the-supershirt-real-world-sizing-66
Im Tall and skinny 6ft 3 (190cm). Arm legth is 80cm, chest 98, waist 92. Will the linesman jacket in M be too short for my body length? Is size L better? Should I eat more Burgers?
This video on made sizing more complicated as I'm ordering from US and want to get it right. I plan to just wear base layer and Leatt Armor underneath. Is the jacket sized to account for armor underneath? WIll cost me double the money to have to send back for exchange
Hi Erik, the best thing to do is put your armour on and then measure yourself against this chart: www.adventurespec.com/blog/tracks-1/how-our-sizing-works-35
Also we do free exchanges so it won't cost you
Thanks
Greg, how breathable, air flow is the new supersport? TIA
Extremely breathable! It's made of an open knit material that allows air to flow freely through. There's a full write up on this page: www.adventurespec.com/shop/supershirt-765?search=supershirt&order=name+asc#attr=922
Does size small Supershirt have a different arm length than large? Im 25 inch length but very slim.
Hi Frank, the arm length is the same but the chest sizing is different, please have a look here: www.adventurespec.com/blog/tracks-1/how-our-sizing-works-35
Thanks
What is the protective layer that you should always wear?
The Supershirt is our CE AA baselayer. This is launching this week - you can find our more by signing up to our newsletter: www.adventurespec.com/subscribe
Folks, a great informative video. Could I suggest that when folks buy the layers they feedback key measurements to adventure spec of themselves ie I am
6’ 3”
100 kgs,
34” leg length,
38” waist ,
42” at belly button ,
46” chest,
21” from armpit to wrist
And I bought xl versions of product and find they all fit with ease and not baggy and even if you have time take photos to show.
It might be a bit of a faff but maybe if adventure spec offers 5% discount for the info or similar , could a database be formed up to allow people to get the right gear first time??
What are the blue pants Greg is wearing at 03:35?
These are the new Linesman Pant. They are in production now - you can find out more about our launch by signing up to our newsletter: www.adventurespec.com/subscribe
@@adventurespec SUBBED! Stoked for (what looks like) a lighter weight pant.
@@WhoopsWrongButton great stuff!!
tbh unfortunately this didn't help much... hoped there would be some measurements like arm length and chest/waist for the different sizes
In my case i am relatively long, cloths generally tend to be short
ps: i've found the sizing chart... didn't see it in the website before
how complicated, be my size, I will take the biggest you have and then just send it back if its too small
I will never do this …. You will have to try before you buy it…… that’s why I unfortunately don’t buy your jacket and co 🙁
