first bike i rode was about a week ago. it was a crf230. im 14 and about 150 pounds and about 5'8. if you can use the clutch well and handle speed its a great size. its so fun and not to hard to control.
my dad used to have a cr500. he loved it until one day that damn shit would not idle for like more than 5 seconds without dying. Now it just sits in the garage waiting for another day. :)
5'9" 150lbs. Never stepped foot on a dirtbike. Rode my in laws 250 and then my uncles built yzf 450. Went out and bought me a crf450R. Love the thing. I already have clutch and gas control naturally as I drive manual. I also have respect for the bike. If you have some experience with a manual gearbox and respect for the power I don't think any bike is too big. I only see physical strength as the only obstacle if you're undersized.
lol i was 7 years old when i first rode a 250.I was between 14 and 16 when i was on a 450 as a bike of choice..i was raised into the sport.Just the matter of being comfortable.Everyones different.Hate when people judge someones riding potential.
The seat height is relevent to how tall you are but the power of the bike is more relevent to a riders experience. for most people a 250cc is pretty common
Im 14 and 2 months and I am looking forward to getting a dirt bike this christmas. I have had experience on a Honda Crf50, Honda Crf110 and I only rode a Honda Crf125 once but it is a little bit difficult for me to start the crf125 and when I am riding a crf110 I got a feeling that I would be too big for the bike. I like kick starter bikes aswell. I am also thinking of a bike to grow into, Any ideas of what Honda bike I should get?
well it would be a little small, im 15 5'6 and 128 pounds. i have a ttr125l and its too small, i flat foot it easy. go for a 150f for trail riding or if ur racing then go for the 150r
Karina Leszczuk I've been looking at some for racing since my ttr ain't doin the job. Prolly get a crf250r, kx250f, or a yz250f. What 250 do u have/recommended?
Well I have not owned a dirt bike before but I have driven one so I got a 2002 xr80r not bad, hit 65mph , but mainly bought it for the price. To me it does not matter what size someone starts out on.
A 2002 Xr80r was the first dirt bike I bought as well! Also got it for the price because it also wasn't running. Wanted to learn how to fix them. Once I got used to it, It wasn't long till I realized I was too big for it so I ended up selling it and getting a Ttr225. Already miss that bike though.
+Mr. Renshott hahahahah mr enshott but no you need a 125 and below 4 stroke so like a yamaha ttr125 but if you want 2 stroke get a 85 and below 2 stroke so like a rm85
i'm 5'6" in height knows how to ride a clutch bike. what would you recommend size of dirt bike. I'm planning to adopt a 17F/14R wheels 150 dirtbike, should i just change the rear to 17 to get the height for me.
I have a question about what bike to get. First off i'm 14,5'6,and I weigh 120lbs. I also am a beginner, but really comfortable riding. I was looking at the ktm 150 xc and a honda crf 150r. Is the ktm and honda to much bike for me? I want something big so I can still use it after a while. Please help me!!!
I'm 4'9 and way 75 pounds what should I get...I have a lot of high hills where I am and I was thinking about the ssr 125 pit bike. What are some other suggestions? I am on a budget so keep that in mind.
LandonBilyeu i think he might be a bit tall for that but if he is the right size for that at 12 years old you grow so fast so in like a year it would be too small
I have been riding ATVs and snowmobiles all my life in rural Alaska, where nobody around me has dirt bikes, thus, me having no experience. I am about to move to the suburbs of a large city in Colorado, and I want to get into dirt biking so I could ride on bike trails and road shoulders. I would like to know what kind of bike would be best for me without looking ridiculous. I already have experience with clutch and shifters. I'm 5'11 and 16 years old.
If you're looking into motocross racing I would suggest an 85 (small wheel) or maybe even a 65. If you're looking to trail ride and off-road maybe a big wheel klx 110
So seeing how I just turned 14 and have one year of riding on a 2002 honda xr80r and standing at 6 foot, what bike should I get, I'm thinking a 150 and maybe a 200
Adult 6'1 own several Honda atv. And a street bike. What size bike do I need. Want a full sized frame with a small 4 stroke engine with electric start. Not worried about power will be used for cruising around dirt roads.

I want to move up in size and speed of the bike so where I can comfortably fit onto the bike and it won't be too hard for me to get used to since I don't have much experience in riding dirt bikes outside of the small 50cc Honda I mentioned earlier. Which dirtbike and size do you recommend me moving up to? I would really appreciate the input, thank you
I'm 5'4, 12 years old, and have only ridden once but I know how to handle the clutch, I just need practice on the shifting and turning so I'm getting a 65cc. Is that good?
im 12 100 lbs and roughly 5'1. i am more of an intermidiete rider and own a crf80f. should i stay with they bike i have or jump to maybe a crf125 or 250
Hey. I was wondering if I can start riding dirt bikes with a 250 2 stroke. I have ridden a 50cc moped for 3 years if that counts to anything. I would start on a 125 2 stroke but my friend is selling he's 2009 kx250 for quite cheap. I weigh about 100kg also I am 180cm and 19 years old. I wasn't planning on doing any jumps or shit like that, just driving on fields and small woodland roads. Thanks.
Im 14 Years old, 188 Lbs and 5'4 : I have been looking at a crf150f but its kinda big for me.. Its a killer deal though for 1000 runs great.. Whats the next smallest bike down because i cannot find any Honda crf 125 on craigslist?
I'm 14 ,5'8 ,128 pounds ride a rm 125 I like it but I personally think I should be riding a 250 cause I like 4 strokes better. They just have a better feel and have bottom and top end.
