      Actually the heart is more important than the brain. You can literally be brain dead and still technically alive. But if your heart stops beating. It's game over. The heart supplies blood to the brain and cells. No blood= cell death. The brain stem is actually the part of your brain that is most vital. Because it powers automatic functions like breathing.

    I never really caught on with this movie but in all fairness, it isn't a "bad" movie. The only big issue with Frozen is that you can tell what scenes were rewritten due to the huge positive reception of Let It Go and the early parts of the movie were never rewritten. It's pretty common knowledge at this point that Elsa was supposed to be the villain of the movie. This is why Hans is such an inconsistent character. For example the scene where Hans is arresting and trying to reason with Elsa, and the scene where he leaves Anna to freeze to death is a complete 180 of Hans' character that I don't think Hans was putting up a facade. I think the betraying Anna scene was the result of a rewrite and they never changed Hans in previous scenes.
    I kinda wished they went with the original story where the years of isolation and fear of her powers broke Elsa psychologically and she uses her newfound freedom to become the monster her parents feared that she'd become. This would create a self fulfilling prophecy where as a result of that fear, they locked her away which turned her into what they feared. To me, this would ask an interesting question of "does someone who has done terrible things because of the fact that they've never known love deserve love in the end?" Then again, it is a Disney film so they might never have intended to go that deep.

    • @danny-lv6wm
      @danny-lv6wm Před 2 lety +112

      i know elsa was supposed to be the villain but i still think they did a good job rewriting the scenes to make hans the villain. you point out the scene where he tries to arrest and reason with elsa as inconsistent but in that scene he literally points the other guy’s crossbow at the giant ice chandelier above elsa’s head that would’ve killed her if she didn’t notice it and run in time. also, just because he’s not acting as evil as he does in ending scenes doesn’t mean it’s a complete 180 from who he is. his whole tactic was never to kill anyone but simply marry into the family so he could rule as king, maybe he planned on killing anna and elsa after he married anna idk. point is, killing and acting like a serious villain isn’t a part of his plan. this is also what makes the reveal so great. i literally remember watching this movie in the theater and everyone was shocked by his reveal. also idk what you mean by “scenes were rewritten due to the huge positive reception of Let it Go” the song literally came out after the movie was made so how would they go back and rewrite it because of let it gos popularity??

    • @chloemarlowe3817
      @chloemarlowe3817 Před 2 lety +28

      @@danny-lv6wm for the Let It Go reception point, no the song was out before the movie. I think it may have had something to do with auditioning for the role of Elsa but I'm not sure. What I do know for sure is that I was hearing the song almost everyday for more than half of 2013 because I was still in high school. The full movie clip didn't exist at the time but audio version of the song was complete and was available online and many young girls loved it. The problem now, was that Elsa was the villain but after the reception of the song, they didn't want to give this song to the villain.

      Pretty sure like 90% of the hype for Frozen was the "Let it go" song lol and plus, kids were like a huge huge part of the hype. But I think Frozen did some things better than Tangled did; I felt the songs in Frozen were more catchy. But don't get me wrong - I love Tangled. I love the story in Tangled more than Frozen but Tangled only had like 1-3 catchy songs while Frozen did pretty well with all of their songs, especially when kids love them all; from "What to Build a Snowman?" to "Love is an Open Door" to Olaf's song to "Let it Go". I kind of get the hype at the time. But a few years down the road and looking back on the movie, I think people might see things differently than back then.

    • @Axterix13
      @Axterix13 Před rokem +9

      @@chloemarlowe3817 Obviously, it wasn't the audience reception to the song that changed it. Not even a test audience. What happened is they wrote the villain song, and the makers of the movie were the ones impacted by it, leading to a rewrite.
      Which makes for some of the best parts of the movie (the sisterly bond angle being a key one) and some of the worst parts (how the plot feels a bit forced at times).

    I think Dylan misdirect what feelings and emotions meant for the plot; every time elsa’s power wasn’t “perfect” was when she tried to control herself or push back her emotions. It’s quite beautifuly and detailed portrayed through the film. Every scene that her ice is perfect and smooth and well…. Powerful, it’s when she let her feelings flow and be felt. So basically, when Anna did the act of true love; she finally understood what she’d needed since the beginning and was taken away from: LOVE
    I guess that’s the reason it was such a great movie for kids.

It doesn’t even explain how the elder troll knew what to do, let alone he literally told Elsa what her weakness was, and doesn’t even object when her stupid dad clearly wasn’t listening and decided to do the one thing not to do that’d undoubtedly make it worse. Also Kristoff and Anna to me were catty up until they get to the trolls, and they wanted KRISTOFF to marry the princess because they know he has a poor man’s job (ice harvesting wasn’t a good job)

    I think a lot of people miss the point that Elsa can control her powers but it's obviously the anxiety that's stopping her from doing it. As a person myself who has social anxiety and a lot of insecurities i am very well capable of doing stuff just for the sake of doing it. Like giving a speech infront of hundreds of people isn't something impossible but my anxiety can stop me from controlling simple and natural acts of my life just like elsa's powers were natural to her so obviously she could control it if she wanted to but she was too scared. They made her insecure and filled her with all this anxiety that all her power could do was hurt people. That's why she is in better control of it in isolation where she thinks she can't hurt anyone and stray away from their judgments of her being a witch and stuff. Dylan missed this massive point so i thought i would point it out even though hr might not see this.

    My school actually did the opening to this movie(Vuelie) for our fall Disney-themed concert. It was actually a really fun piece to learn. And we did Pentatonix's Let It Go. That was a less fun piece to learn. Mostly because it was Let it Go, but also because it was Pentatonix's arrangement. Also, I love the line "You can't marry a man you just met" because I DESPERATELY want someone to jump in and say "You can if it's an arranged marriage" with a really confident smile, and then walk away awkwardly.

      @@Nina-kx9jm Disney deleted the prophecy part where it says everything and WHY the parents hid Elsa and teaches her to control her fear,
      The story goes that the kingdom is cursed with a snow king\queen that will freeze the kingdom forever killing everyone in it, the only thing that could kill the snow king\queen is a sword "which we see it with Hans at the end somehow he found it" which apparently the father hid it so no one can use it and kill Elsa, so the father in order to protect his family he teaches Elsa to control her fear so he brought for her gloves .
      Now you might say what about Anna ? in the old script she was a super clumsy breezy character so they couldn't tell her as they were afraid that she might expose Elsa, which she accidentally did at the coronation day.
      so my point is the PARENTS we good DISNEY'S is the bad for deleting that.

    • @sigridmflclfmd1662

      Yeah. It's really a shame because people thought Hans was a good twist villain because no one guessed he was evil but that actually makes him a worse twist villain. A good twist villain is when they make small hints towards it so it makes sense when you rewatch it
      That's one of the reasons why i love scream so much
      (Spoiler Alert)
      They kept showing that Billy was a creep and he kept showing up at suspicious moments so it would seem too obvious for him to be the actual killer but then he actually turns out to be and it was amazing. As for Stu he was just straight up weird (and hilarious)
