Hi there. Just popping in to say that Mulan is definitely one of my favorites ever, but something just kills me EVERY time and I am here to rant about it. You hear how EVERYONE in the village speaks with a Chinese accent??????? EXCEPT HER! This drives me insane. They did the same with How To Train Your Dragon. All the people, the outlaws and even the kids' parents have thick Scottish accents, yet Hiccup and his friends sound so American that they might as well move to Kentucky. WTF people? Those are my thoughts good bye....
@@alliemarie670 No it was meant to be in the movie on purpose to show how sexist people were back then especially. I don't think they'll remove it because that's one of the main purposes of the movie.
You know what's funny is Mulan only went to war to save her father, then Li dismisses her pretty early on, she could've just totally gone home and been like hey I'm back and you didn't have to go to war dad! Win win!
I was so happy when he noticed... Mulan is my favorite disney movie of all time, so I’ve seen it a lot. But that scene makes me crack up every. single. time.

Grown woman watches grown man watch Mulan. When my husband gets home, it will be a grown man watching a grown woman watching a grown man watch Mulan :')
My best friend grew up in an all-female family so whenever he has a towel he holds it the same way everyone else in his family does, which is by his chest.
"How many men does it take to deliver a message?" "one" I watched this so much as a kid and i never understood what that meant. but that's a pretty badass line
i literally watched this movie everyday for like 2 years as a kid and loved it but soooo much of it went over my head that I've grown to appreciate as I've gotten older including how this film has actual stakes and violence like this line
I’ve seen Mulan hundreds of times before, but when the grandma spoke at the end, some of my beverage went up my nose, cause I wasn’t expecting it to find her lines funny after all these times
Doesn't matter how many times I've seen it since childhood, when she slaps the crap out of Mushu for "seeing straight through her armor," It just gets me right in the giggle bone for some reason. I've literally seen Mulan probably over a hundred times, and it's just the best, every time.
yass Mulan is the most rewatchable movie in existence!!! I must have seen it weekly as a kid (we had the old tape😂) and it never got old or dull, only better! and now as an adult it got even better because they snuck these clever jokes that go right over you head when you're a kid
Tbf he could've just respected her and liked her as a friend before he found out. I imagine a lot of people would be more inclined to date their (platonic) best friend if they suddenly found out they were of the gender that they were sexually attracted to. Not saying that everyone would have those feelings if that were the case, but I do think it's a significant amount of people. It makes sense because ideally your partner would also be your best friend (except you're also sexually attracted to them).
“The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all.” “Sir?” “You don’t meet a girl like that every dynasty.” The emperor’s a straight up pimp, and this line is awesome!
Ya'll do realize that it was a bromance with ping and li Shang not a romantic but familial/emotional comradery, like actual armies today. It was only romance when mulan was pinning li Shang as ping and then reciprocated and morphed when her identity was revealed and their bond was mended able to grow over the events in the end of the movie, after, and finally solidified in the 2nd movie.

Honestly, it's like the best line of the movie. I remember that the first time I watched it, I was in tears.
I died when that line happened
kinda the best line ever
it’s such a good line but i watched it on a plane and they??? censored?? it?? how is that inappropriate like what???
@@leenakhanye wtf😂
This movie is beautiful. Funny, entertaining, heartfelt, epic, full of good/realistic relationships, and brimming with important messages about self actualization and true honor. It brings me to tears at many points.
And then there's the live action....😬
Dude,,, i can't unhear it now
“she’s a woman, she’ll never be worth anything”
dylan: laughs
I think he was more incredulous at the character, like a laugh of disbelief.
@@bd3966 I agree. I laughed too because it sounds so ridiculous.
it's pretty funny though. I always laugh at that part lol.
Just watch, that line will be taken out of the movie in the future. Would not pass today lol
@@alliemarie670 No it was meant to be in the movie on purpose to show how sexist people were back then especially. I don't think they'll remove it because that's one of the main purposes of the movie.

@@bloopdaddy No, it's death.
Best line 15/10

Right? haha!
I love how he just insists that the dad is dying, even though all anyone ever says is that he needs tea
You know what's funny is Mulan only went to war to save her father, then Li dismisses her pretty early on, she could've just totally gone home and been like hey I'm back and you didn't have to go to war dad! Win win!
"the greatest gift and honor is having you as a daughter" STRAIGHT BARS

The emperor casually walking off is literally my favorite scene and I'm so glad someone else finally noticed it!
Like "this is not my problem anymore, they'll take care of it" xD
That quote he says though what a boss!
I was so happy when he noticed... Mulan is my favorite disney movie of all time, so I’ve seen it a lot. But that scene makes me crack up every. single. time.
My sisters and I always laughed our asses off at that scene
When I watched it a second time I caught this and I started laughing cause its so dumb XD
Mulan: “would you like to stay for dinner?”
General Li Shang: “I would lo-“
Grandma: “Would you like to stay forever?!”
That shit will always crack me up.
23:46 I’m surprised Dylan didn’t like the Emperor’s next remark and tone “you don’t meet a girl like that every day!!”

Meeeee! Everytime I was like, he just has a bad knee and can't walk without a cane, he's not dying!!!
SAME! Every time he's says "he's dying". Nope. NOT DYING JUST CRIPPLED.
Whatever. He misunderstood that part. No need to take it so personally

Mulan is the most badass and inspirational Disney Princess don’t even bother changing my mind
Not technically a princess, but I agree.
Tiana from the princess and the frog is also great
And Merida, don't forget Merida.
Bubu it’s Tiana but she’s badass as well. This is my list:
1.Mulan
2. Tiana
3. Merida
4. Moana
5. Pocahontas
Devony Jaden Disney advises her as a Disney Princess so I would say she is

I was just about to comment that! lol Haha
tmw I commented this 1 day before them and didnt get a single like. Feelshurtman

The fact that he thought the dad was dying made me laugh so much
Can someone tell me why I feel proud when he compliments a movie I like
My best friend grew up in an all-female family so whenever he has a towel he holds it the same way everyone else in his family does, which is by his chest.
Most of my friends will hold it high just to cover their nips 😅 shy boy rights
I think that's cute and sexy.
Cute 😊
I highly respect that.
Can confirm I also do that
"How many men does it take to deliver a message?" "one" I watched this so much as a kid and i never understood what that meant. but that's a pretty badass line
Yes! The day that i understood i was like «...ouuuu man...»...
i literally watched this movie everyday for like 2 years as a kid and loved it but soooo much of it went over my head that I've grown to appreciate as I've gotten older including how this film has actual stakes and violence like this line
I remember my heart dropped when I first heard that line
...I‘m a grown up and I still don‘t get it. can anyone explain please?

I’ve seen Mulan hundreds of times before, but when the grandma spoke at the end, some of my beverage went up my nose, cause I wasn’t expecting it to find her lines funny after all these times
funny how those lines went over our heads as kids and now, we're like ahhhh now I get it lmao
Doesn't matter how many times I've seen it since childhood, when she slaps the crap out of Mushu for "seeing straight through her armor," It just gets me right in the giggle bone for some reason. I've literally seen Mulan probably over a hundred times, and it's just the best, every time.
That line is immortal lol
yass Mulan is the most rewatchable movie in existence!!! I must have seen it weekly as a kid (we had the old tape😂) and it never got old or dull, only better! and now as an adult it got even better because they snuck these clever jokes that go right over you head when you're a kid
I never noticed how cool and nonchalant the emperor just leaves the scene when Shang arrives. That's fucking hilarious.
He walked off as if he heard the water boiling on the stove
I know it's like his microwave beeped or something.
Ikr like instead of following mulan he couldve killed the emperor still
I love the emperor now I wish he got more screen time
No matter how much the wind howls the mountain cannot bow to it 😂 The emperor described in one sentence
straight savage
Poor Dylan, he had such high hopes for the Live Action Mulan 😭
Dylan loving my favourite film + laughing so genuinely at its comedy gold is so validating 😌
No one:
Literally nobody in the entire universe:
Dylan after watching Mulan: SHE SAVED THE WHOLE COUNTRY
Me: Uh, sir. This is a Wendy’s.
I just realized that if Shang liked Mulan before he found out she was a girl, he probably spent a lot of nights questioning his sexuality-
😂😂😂
Tbf he could've just respected her and liked her as a friend before he found out. I imagine a lot of people would be more inclined to date their (platonic) best friend if they suddenly found out they were of the gender that they were sexually attracted to. Not saying that everyone would have those feelings if that were the case, but I do think it's a significant amount of people.
It makes sense because ideally your partner would also be your best friend (except you're also sexually attracted to them).

😂😂😂 maybe he’s bi
I so like how he falls in love with a MAN and just 'No I AM TOTALLY STRAIGHT"
Ya'll do realize that it was a bromance with ping and li Shang not a romantic but familial/emotional comradery, like actual armies today. It was only romance when mulan was pinning li Shang as ping and then reciprocated and morphed when her identity was revealed and their bond was mended able to grow over the events in the end of the movie, after, and finally solidified in the 2nd movie.
@@6_checkmate_9 or maybe he actually fancied ping because ping was a badass underdog who also happened to save his life
