The hit boxes on the crystals are too small, it feels so cheap when you’re basically touching it and the game doesn’t give it to you.
I feel the exact same way, sometimes for the letters for the ctr token races too

Idk how on earth I unlocked EVERYTHING in the PS1 version as a kid, and I can't even do it now, just barely beat Oxide, I'm at 44%

After the crushing difficulty of the N Sane Trilogy in some spots, I'm honestly kinda surprised these are still doable on the hardest difficulty without pinpoint precision and perfection.
Never really had any problems with the N Sane Trilogy except some Platinum Relics. This though.. THIS... is getting on my nerves.
@@pger2103 I mean at least it doesn't have to be perfect to beat it like the Nitrous Oxide ghost in Time Trials on Crash Cove. The Crystal Challenges are way more doable imo.

Parker yep! You still have to do all the other maps that are outside of th arcade tho
do you get something extra if you complete these in hard? there is only a trophy to complete adventure mode on hard that means it doesnt need crystals+ctr/cnk?

I done these on medium - Parking Lot and Desert Storm were a real pain. Focusing on all the Oxide ghosts now, done 18/31 and then will go back to do these on hard.

The hit boxes are so fucked, I was off by one a handful of times on these challenges.
Got all the trophies apart from 2 now. This and oxides ghosts. Can’t be arsed with either of them. Always hated these Crystal challenges. The 4 in the adventure mode are bad enough

To unlock Fake Crash, you have to beat the Purple Gem Cup in Adventure Mode.
Yup. In order the get the purple gem you need to enter the purple gem cup. But you need to get the purple tokens, and this is how you get them.

They didn’t put much thought into this game when they did the crystals. They really didn’t. Plus they don’t give you enough time to collect them that’s what pisses me off about it. 😡
If you pass all of this ones on normal, and then you wannabe play on hard with fake crash, you need to make it again but on hard?
The game isn't actually to difficult to platinum. When you start up the game for the first time you'll think that it's impossible. But once you get used to the mechanics and x3 drifting, you'll literally beat Oxides time trial times with little effort. I usually beat him on the first or second try with the exception of the odd track with crappy design ie: dragon mines. Use a speed character on both Hard mode and Time trials. You'll breeze through the game. Penta penguin for me!
Why can't they make the game as easy as the original? What's the point in making it too difficult this time? Even medium feels like I'm competing in some international race or something. Fuck this game. I'll stick with the original.
