Listening to this is like getting wrapped in a warm blanket. It's so beautiful!
My thought precisely
I couldn't agree more.
perfectly said !
The best description ever.
Couldnt be more appropriate
Its about when the cold dark winter when the sun is missing for most of the day is at its high point, then spring and the rising sun of the icelandic summer is comming signaling hope
This is why Eurovision is important and really good way to show our differences, cultures.
That’s right
exactly! who needs a multicultural pot which results in meshed-up nothingness? We are beautiful in all our differences.
I disagree. This song is one of very few this year where you can actually learn about their culture. Most other songs sound super generic.
@@qazplmm632 He meant exactly that
So refreshing to have a song that's not in English.
Icelandic is just a beautiful language, I'm thrilled for them... No dancers, fancy props etc just pure singing talent 🤗
Its so hard to learn. Im from iceland and couldn’t speak it perfectly till i was 10
Just because the song doesn't reach the fervent Eurovision fans, doesn't mean it does not have a public! Nice harmonies, easy on the ear, beautifully sang! Glad it qualified!
huge eurovision fan here, loved this song since the release and loved even more this performance. voted for it, and glad it went through 🥰
Beautiful harmonies, indeed. And great '70s style and aesthetic :)
This semi final was a lesson in how social media stan bubbles and online 'odds' don't mean anything
@@ronfarkas I'm still enjoying all those 'fans' blaming switzerland and moldavia and legit treatening them for ronela no qualifying. Like just keep it to her performance, why do they need to bring them in it? Anyways its shocking yet funny how some people can't accept people have a different taste!
I am a fervent Eurovision fan with Albania, Iceland and Portugal as my three favourites. 🤣😍😘👏
I feel so bad for not paying attention to this song before. This song is actually one of the better ones in this year's contest and really deserve its spot in the Final. Congratulations to Iceland🇮🇸!
I totally agree with you, this is my favorite entry from sf1! Greetings from 🇲🇪
This is not your fault everyone's taste was busy with fast food zoom zoom boom boom ah yeah ah yeah songs
But who asks?
The queens remained united, calm and focused to getting what they deserved. You're right before no one paid attention but now it 's time to go on stage and shine and get the proper attention they lost before. 💪🏼✌🏼
THIS IS THE PERFECT EXAMPLE THAT CAPTIVATES THE *"SOUND OF BEAUTY"* THEME, MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE! ❤❤❤🇮🇸🇮🇸🇮🇸
The only song I voted for in the semi-final. It made me feel so good. Big thanks for your music from Ukraine! ❤️
Me too. Glory to Ukraine! 💙💛
Thank you very much. I voted for Ukraine they had one of the most epic acts in ESC history. They mix lots of styles together that just clicks and they make it their own but still you can clearly hear where the roots are coming from. And lastly they are so sincere in their performance I just believe every words from the lead singer although I don't understand Ukrainian.
With love from Iceland ❤
@@klarinetta Thank you! And I love your performers. I don't understand lyrics (except the title itself 😄) but the performance is unlike anything else and so nice and relaxing
Slava Ukraini ❤🇺🇦
@@Nat3YT I can't, sorry lad
Half a ballad half a lullaby. The best song and performance I've listened to in quite a long time. By far, the greatest song in the contest. Good luck in the Final.
they qualified, and now i want them to win, no matter how unlikely that is
Are you voting for them in the grand final?
@@markkk9623 no
Not because I don't want to mind you, but because I'm pretty sure I am unable to
@@lexezlao why can't you vote?
@@Timtim-td2jw I'm not from europe
@@lexezlao yeah than you sadly can't vote
Exactly what ive expected from them, i want them to qualify, this song is mythical vibes
Look up celtic woman, this is nordic woman
@@g1ftfromtheg0ds67 This did give me Celtic vibes. Very beautiful harmonies. I love it.
i don't know what's more magical - the song, the performance, or the language
All this it’s magical
Its such a beautiful language
As an Icelander, this is nice to hear. It sucks they ended up in one of the last places. To me, and I really mean it unbiased way, it's so beautiful. Different than the mmtjh-mmtjh! - and the lyrics are beautiful. Well done for Iceland, I wish they'd have gotten more, because they'd have deserved it.
Their voices are so magical together. It is good example when performance is simple but efective. Good luck in the final from Lithuania
I have the strange belief that even Icelandic people were like, yeah, this ain’t gonna qualify, but here they are, and I’m sure they will do good.
If there's something we understood very clearly from the Eurovision movie is that Iceland and its people vote their representative based on what feels good. If it's a winning song or not, that's secondary for them.
This song feels really good when you listen to it, and that's why I love it so much.
@@ramiroer this is not what the eurovision movie shows at all :D
Yeah, Icelanders were not positive about this song and were very jugdemental towards the girls to the point people started bullying them on the internet. Everyone thought they wouldn’t qualify, but they prooved
them wrong and i’m so glad that happened.
Yeah I’m from Iceland and nobody thought this would of qualified I’m gonna be honest but atleast we made it to the finals.
@@riodz5623 about what they r singing?
This song took me to a magical world…..why god why did all these wonderful songs had to be in the same semifinal
to qualify!
@@user-fd1dp8ku1s but then some good ones have to be eliminated
@@benurm2390 to my mind, the first semi was 100% fair
all songs are wonderful, so some inevitably have to be eliminated :(
we can still listen to them anyways
I am crying just now! Cause my second place have qualified. Love from Azerbaijan 😭😭😭🇮🇸♥️🇦🇿
THEY'RE THROUGH, I'M SO HAPPY, I STILL CANNOT PROCESS THIS! THANK YOU EUROPE! 😭🇬🇷❤🇮🇸
can't believe they qualified! glad to see some appreciation for folk in esc, it's a magical song and deserved to surprise
As someone who listened a lot to scandinavian metal, these harmonies hit hard. Lovely language, arrangement, by far the best song. Well, almost, Moldova is fire too 😎
Yeeeeeeeeeees true i voted for both :D so glad they made it
i entered a trance state during their whole performance. the performance captivates you in a soothing and relaxing way! i can't explain but so happy they qualified for the grand final! good luck Iceland 🇮🇸

Imas top ukus! 🤌
@@user-sq7nk7qj8e everybody has obviously different taste and Eurovision is all about diversity, and that includes voters individual tastes too.Greece has nice entry this year but personally I prefer Iceland this year. You know the feeling when you go in store, and accidentaly find piece of clothes of your taste that fits you perfectly in every sense? Similar feeling comes to choosing favorite song in Eurovision and people judge by their own criteria. Staging is indeed one of judging factors, but for me if song "takes me over" (and that can be solely song itself) my votes goes for that. Good luck in finals!
Absolutely Amazing, well deserved place in the Final!!! ❤️🇮🇸
You're amazing, perfect song, thank you for support 🇺🇦
Really like this song. Distinguishes itself by it's uniqueness.

It's a song about hope. In Iceland days (where the sun is up) are very short during the winters and very long during the summer, this makes the winter hard to bear. But there is light at the end of the tunnel because at the peak of the misery, the day starts to grow longer as spring approaches. This is very relevant to the bad things happening as of late. It is a song to all who suffer, a reminder of good times after the bad, a reminder of hope.
