Can Candylabs do it? Making Artisan Candy of a Intricate Palace 🏰 Fairmont le Château Frontenac

- In this special episode of Où Se Trouve with Candylabs, we are making a detailed and intricate design. This episode’s candy will feature a tiny rendition of Fairmont le Chateau Frontenac, a historic, luxury hotel that is in the style of a French palace. According to Lin, this is one of the most difficult designs Candylabs has created yet! Can they pull it off?
Named after the governor of New France, Louis de Buade (known as Count of Frontenac), Fairmont le Château Frontenac was built in 1893 and stands out as a prominent landmark in Quebec City, National Historic Site in Canada, and UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is perched on a tall cape overlooking the Saint Lawrence River, offering a spectacular view both of the river and cityscape that lends Canada an elegant touch of historic Europe. Recently modernized and restored, the hotel offers 611 guestrooms and suites. Soon, it will be celebrating its 125 anniversary! When you get a chance to visit, tag your memories with #momentsLCF

Hi jackman works!!! I love your channel 👍🏻your videos are soo cool

Me: that candy is incredibly hot. Its sticky. The dye bubbles when its added and they're using gloves for a reason.
My brain: e a t i t
When I saw him and heard my speak my brain was scrambling for which language who was speaking.
I'm ashamed to not have realized earlier that he's speaking my 2nd language, French.
Trydodis lol I realised that and I don’t speak french
Multilinguals be like “what language is this now, brain? What are you working with here?!!”
Le uuuuuuuh....
I Do think That to man!
Same here buddy(but not 2nd)
Candylabs needs their own CZcams channel. I love, love, love, the beauty of their work. These videos are stunning and their work is impeccable. Meticulous designs, shiny candy, the candy builds look like a dance. Please bring them back for more videos!
Catalina Dawn
Yes
Catalina Dawn Check out the channel called Loft Pursuits. Their business is pulled candy.
I Believe you may like it ;-)
I follow lofty pursuits and the other candy store on the east coast with the vegans and Craig, anyhow, clearly these guys are on another level.
At the end of all this, my first question is... how the hell did someone figure out how to make this in the first place?!
JDStone Creations I think it started pretty easy and simple, and then the second person came along to make it a bit more complicated, then the third person add something... and so on.
JDStone Creations they sell this in the streets where I live
I'm slightly jealous you can buy this locally, but my teeth are thankful that I can't!
#Asians 🤷🏻♀️
I believe it was inspired by the glass making technique called millefiori, Italian for "thousand flowers." No one is 100% sure where millefiori started though, despite the Italian name. This is essentially the same process with pulled sugar instead of glass. Seaside rock candy is believed to have originated in Blackpool or Fair Rock, U.K. as a confection featuring the name of the location running throughout the length of the candy. Doesn't really answer your question I suppose, huh? It's mind boggling.
"How to make handmade candy"
Me : I'm gonna do this at home !
* Watching the video for just a few seconds *
Me : …
But it's so soothing to watch, glad it was in my recommended
I love how shiny it gets when pulled! Mesmerizing😍
Reminds of mirror putty and even has same consistency I think
Ñ 😎😎
We can "only" do 20 windows in our candy. This really is a feat.
Anissa Alexander to make is simple, we're "only" making 20 windows...these guys are amazing!
Catalina Dawn I know. It is quite a lot of windows for such a small piece of candy, but they brush it off like it is no big deal. Lol
The final piece only has 19 tho...sorry im ocd
They are truly visionaries...
I know I thought at the most there would be like five
We're so lucky to have the internet 🙏🙌
very true

Ouuiii une vidéo française !
J'aime trop ce que vous faites, c'est incroyable de faire ça avec des bonbons !
"Here, we are going to add a little bit of acid"
Me: Wow okay acid yea alright
so you never ate lemons before?
@@marcelobrandao2747 you do know that Citric Acid is basically just Vitamin C and it is found in nearly all fruits and the more sour the fruit is the more Citric Acid it has (And thus in food technology, adding the right amount of citric acid will emulate the sour taste of the fruit thus adding the legitimacy of the flavour profile). It does not harm your body just like how eating fruits will not cause you harm.
@@marcelinauy9037 You mean Ascorbic Acid? Also it's not what he and OP meant...
@@marcelinauy9037 you still dont get it.
@@marcelinauy9037 citric acid is usually found in citrus fruit. it's not a vitamin c. Vitamin c is ascorbic acid
That's really really impressive, I'm amazed when they did a panda and others 'basic' things but the Château Frontenac that's another level of skills!!
Hey everyone, the strands of white you're seeing is the sugar making really fine threads from being pulled. It does that a lot throughout the process, and it can look like hair on video but it's sugar.
I love how the candy collapses under its own weight. So satisfying.
Mood
OOoof I just love how you keep everything so nicely even and square shaped
Been watching quite a few handmade Candy Videos now and Nobody does it as clean and perfect as you guys
Astounding how it all just came together into the perfect image at the end. I can't imagine there are better ways to make use of a form. Too impressive. Would love to know how they keep such an efficiently clean workspace. It's like a medical cleanroom.
OMG I DID NOT KNOW WHAT IT WOULD TURN OUT TO BE AND WHAT IT TURNED OUT TO BE WAS AMAZZIIIIINNNGGGG
I've had those candies before in Niagra Falls my dad won a contest for 125 years I think and we got free candy
Cascupcake lol I used to play Animal jam I saw your profile and I was like oh look animal jam XD I'll leave now
wait do you mean he won a contest for 125 years of free candy?
The 125th of Canada guys, come on
@milk We Canadians are extremely long lived, resulting from the preservative nature of the extreme cold, and our practice of replacing our blood with an ethanol based substitute. Originally it was to be a lifetime supply of candy, but realizing their grievous error just in time, they limited the supply to a mere 125 years worth.
are you from niagara falls?

This is real art!
And it probably tastes good.

These candy making skills are above and beyond any thing else available to watch on CZcams. A team of true artists!
beepbapboop you need to watch Lofty Pursuits! The candy maker explains everything and often uses Victorian equipment! Little things like he avoids the white food colouring, relying on pulling instead to create white. czcams.com/users/LoftyPursuits
Those are honestly the prettiest colpurs I've ever seen
Трудяшки!! Молодцы!!!
Тяжелая работа и в физическом смысле.

The build was amazing however you guys make some of the most beautiful colors i have had the pleasure to lay my eyes on
That is an excellent craftsmanship! Final image is perfectly proportioned, not a bit distorted and you make clean and straight cuts to the candy, no sharp points. Great work!
Stereokrama candy bingo:
"The citric acid makes the candy tasty"
"120 times, sometimes 200"
"This is how we make the big candy into the tiny candy"
"The water is like superglue"
Comments on how pretty the white candy is after being stretched
WOW that was awesome to watch and know how much work and skill go into making this candy! Loved it!
Wow....
Really wonderfull your work.

+Micha Grill well that's too bad lol
Stereokroma i know 😕
Candy making is an art !!
That is crazy. I had no idea what the end result would be. Talking about "windows and roof", and seeing a giant piece of candy, thinking..what you gonna do with that?? Ha. Nice job
love your video
This completely stunned me.
Tellement beau 😍😍😍
I'd love a video on the pokeball candy! It's so cute!
We would too but we don't want to get killed by Nintendo or Pokemon Company.

I love it how they organize it so well and the colors are so bright😋😋😋😍😍😍
When you understand what he's saying without subtitles bcoz you're French but you can also hear how he struggles to speak the language
I wish I could be this good in Japanese
He speaks good French, only with a Québecois accent
shutup you damn showoffs
Sherry Wang i mean it can be to others it really depends you may know one rule one language and it being completely different in another
