Pea, you know I love you unconditionally. I do. But, something came up! I am so, so sorry Pea! I cannot forget the situation in Ukraine! Pea, there are babies dying from Russian bullets and bombs. Some countries like the UK respond perfectly! Boris Johnson said it clear! Putler has done enough evil! For me, there is no other end to this war, if we cannot drag Putler out of a Pit and hang him. Just like Saddam!
You're the best Pea thank you for putting me on.
Great video, Pea! Please ask Gracey if it’s legal to make a prenup where, if my Filipina wife betrays me, I can push her into Mt. Kanlaon! 👐 👩 🌋 😂 ✌️

"MY question is my bf is planning to come in the Philippines this coming December to me marry me .He is Estonian and there is no

I look how to apply visa then I seen that it can be get in DENMARK EMBASSY...
so he can get legal capacity to DENMARK EMBASSY TOO??..

As a divorce survivor I implore everybody to get a pre-nup. Twenty-five years with a woman that I would have trusted with my life went out the window in the ugliness that is divorce. I am now much poorer but much wiser. Now, a pre-nup is an absolute requirement. And yes, I would consider getting married again ... if she signs the pre-nup.
Not just a pre-nup. Put all your assets into a trust. She marries you, not the trust.
A divorce survivor to a Filipina or a modernized western woman? Big rule is to NEVER marry a westernized woman
Truth
Pre-nups can be thrown out, just don't marry
I got a friend who is getting married soon; him and his wife wants to sign away their right to remarrying, would this hold up in court?
I married my asawa in the Philippines and after getting all of the paperwork and many of them.It was the best thing I have ever done.We have been married now for 8 years and been together for 10 years. And I love my wife more and more. And I love to watch the Filipina Pea.
Happy for you both.Congrats
I was once a romantic that felt A prenuptial agreement was a way of saying I can't trust you and I would never want my wife to think that. Now it's easy to see that people change. She couldn't be trusted and I'm divorced. I never divorced the woman I married. I divorced the woman she became. A prenup is a necessity in this day and age.
Truth. If we look at Sternberg's triangle, most marriages are not romantic love based on the part of the female, only commitment. So, it's rarely going to last and if it does it's just gender roles. It amazes me how many low value men go overseas to find a bride not realizing money can't buy love. Peace.
I’m married to a Filipino and looked into a prenup before getting married and so I spoke to a solicitor…….He basically said that if you plan on having children the prenup agreement actually becomes null and void because a court will always look towards the child being taken care of…
@@ashleyhall4ah Wow.. interesting
I too am a young dumbass. And like a bad dream I woke up to the nightmare of a life I created. I realized that I was suffering to the point of suicidal thoughts while this woman 10 years older then me weakens and devalue me. Idk if it's a religious thing but I know if I get my self together then burn my fuses I can get thru this divorce and everything it going to burn me with.
I divorcied the woman she become, and the man who become. This is the real description of failure marriage
There was a packed classroom in Ozamiz. It lasted 3.5 hours.
The first speaker was a Priest, explaining the Church's view on marraige. Then 2 other speakers explained the Philippines views on marraige.
We ended up going to Aurora city hall to get married by the Mayor, because Ozamiz was booked solid and we were given lottery tickets to get a date.
The unexpected change to marry in Aurora, Del Sur was a pleasant surprise because my Filipina wife was born in Aurora.
I need to give a shout out to Marlene, the city hall manager, because the complexity of having a westerner marrying a Filipina in the Philippines was overwhelming with required documents.
Thank- you Marlene.
The wedding ceremony was storybook like. I am so happy I married a province girl from Balas, a fishing village in Aurora.
Gracelyn says a lot of important things. "The brain and the heart should work together" "don't sign the prenup if you want his money" "sign the prenup if you want him, you're not going to lose anything"
I have binged at least 30 of your videos. I have been vacationing in the Philippines for 10 years and just found my future wife. The amount of information I didn't know, I have found on your channel in two weeks. I feel like Neo from the Matrix downloading tons of insight. Thank you for being bridging the gap for logic and culture in the P.I. for me.
When I married my asawa she was 27. A lot of the requirements needed, her father and uncles help as they new people in the right places to get stuff done. I would encourage anyone getting married to a Filipina to enlist the help of the family.
I'm coming to marry my fiancé in the Philippines next year. I'm so excited, she's the greatest woman onnthe planet!
Dude there is no way you could possibly know that. Have you met every woman on the planet?
Marriage is good for someone that plans to have a family. Otherwise stay single. Play the field. Keep your emotions in check. Don’t get hurt.
If not get lawyers involved and a prenuptial. legal representation for both parties
So sad you are

I got married in the USA but not philippines - that works out better - just got an SRRV visa so I didn't need to depend on a sponsor for my visa
@@gingercat777 I’m actually pretty happy. Happier yet that the gal living with my brother the past nine years moved out. She was never happy. Always needy. They argued constantly. Both were not happy. Finally she moved out of his house. Awesome.
The per- marriage consulting is a catholic thing. This is used to bring out topics such as children or not - finance - where they will live (in the US or in Philippines) and other important topics. It's a good thing to go through.
In some parts of the US (eleven states), we have "common law marriage", where you're considered to be married if you held yourself out to the world as if you were husband and wife and cohabitated. According to my research, there is such a thing as "common law marriage" under Article 147 of the Family Code. In the future, I'd like to hear Gracey speak on common law marriage (how it arises and what the legal implications are).
As an American who was married here, my wife had to get proof from the PSA that she was single, but I never got anything from them. I just provided an affidavit of eligibility notarized by embassy people. I don't recall ever providing a birth certificate; of course I had to provide a passport with valid visa and entry.
Seems like you would not need a Birth Certificate considering you had to have one to get the Damn Passport. However, you don't know who you will deal with in that situation. You got it, might as well bring it.
I got married to a Filipina in her place and something that neither one of us knew is that apparently the foreigner spouse to be is supposed to get a Cenomar also. Some cities in the Philippines will not accept the affidavit from the U.S. Embassy. A Cenomar is simply a document from the Philippine Statistical Agency that neither party to the marriage has ever married in the Philippines before.
same here ... just the paper from the embassy
your wife probably got t for you without you knowing. Its pretty standard and each step after that will want to see it. we even had to show document that we used to get document for another document for them to accept the last document that we couldnt have got without the first document they wanted. welcome to the phillipines
I LOVE Gracie because she's so honest and straight forward and wants to protect us foreigners! I will be using her for my legal advisor and attorney if needed when I come to your country.

Oh yea
I'm glad the question period during the seminars are informal. I'd prefer not to take a written test, especially with multiple choice questions about the wedding night.
Hahahahaha
But at least all the answers are correct on that question 😂
Hi Pea, I was married in the Philippines in 2017 and listening to Gracie there was 1 step that I didn't do. As a divorced UK man I completed the requirements at the UK embassy in Manila (birth certificate, 1st marriage certificate and divorce certificate, passport etc) to prove I wasn't married and was granted a certificate to state I was free to marry, but I didn't get a Cenomar from the National Statistics Office as it wasn't mentioned on the UK government website. We then attended a seminar as you described which as an older couple (I was 51 and my wife was 46) was funny / embarrassing with all the younger couples there looking at us as we already had children from previous partners, then we went to the local Barangay in Cavite and completed all the forms there including the 10 day wait for the forms to be processed and also completed all the requirements at the local church before the wedding. After the wedding we took the certificate from the church to the Barangay to process the licence which we have. My question is, is my marriage still legal without the Cenomar on my part (my wife had her Cenomar as she had not been previously married). If you could ask Gracie on my behalf it would be really appreciated. Keep up the good work on your channel, I always find the info you provide very useful and accurate.
The Cenomar means certificate of no marriage. So if you've been married before you do not get one. You provide proof of being Divorced. If you have a marriage certificate from the PSA, you're good 👍.
I’m not an attorney of course, but I feel safe to say your marriage is probably fine - if you got the marriage certificate /license, you’re okay 👍
@@TheFilipinaPea Thanks for the reply Pea, it was just when Gracie said about the foreigner had to get a Cenomar to prove that I wasn't married to another Filipino (as well as the certificate stating that I was free to marry from the UK embassy), that had me confused. For the record my wife is the only one, As I stated we did get the marriage certificate from the Barangay a couple of days after the wedding so I guess all is good. Thanks for putting my mind at peace, you hear of so many stories in the philippines of foreigners been duped.
@Shane Porter As a Catholic its against my beliefs to behave in such a way.
@@airwess3369 That's exactly what I thought what a Cenomar is, and yes I do have the certificate from the PSA, thanks for confirming what I originally thought.
Agreed. The prettiest lawyer iv ever seen.
It took my wife and I six weeks. But it was all day every day 6 days a week to get married here. I literally made a spread sheet to keep track of everything. The highlight was the test we had to take and its crazy questions.
It’s (not) more fun in the Philippines 😂👍
@@TheFilipinaPea IDK, the Q's were pretty hilarious. So basically you have to get 100% on the test to pass. All the correct answers are YES. Two questions I remember are 1. If ANY of her relatives ask for money you will give, right? 2. You will give your wife foreplay to get her wet first and not just stick it dry, right? All the Q's are in Cebuano and this was the lady interpreting it to the best of her ability. It was hilarious and embarrassing for all 3 of us.

We where married 4 years ago my wife had never been married before yes she had to prove that and I had to provide my divorce paperwork and regular stuff that you would expect to deal with it’s not complicated. A good Filipino woman is worth every second they will make you a better person by far .
Pea thank you so much for bringing your videos forward an hour - it does make a difference and is appreciated.

Great video Pea, both you and Grace look much younger than 30! For myself don't marry someone under 28 lol, not within the Catholic church and definitely have a pre-nup signed. And before I forget really get to know one another, that's the biggest advice for a successful marriage. Grace is 100% right there.
Great video and advice...signing a prenup is certainly necessary in this day of age because just like the ladies said, its to protect what you work hard for. If a woman refuses to sign the prenup , then no marriage..Plus at that point I wouldnt be able to help but to question her real intentions
No matter how hard I try I seem to be sinking into the quick sand of finding my Filipina life partner, so this video will come in quite handy when I make the mistake and take the plunge. Thank you for your efforts.
Why is it a mistake you ask? Simple. I believe she deserves better than me. 😉
Wow lot of embassy work and government hoops to jump through. I married my filipina in Las Vegas. Super easy but afterwards acquiring the proper visa and green card was a pain. Tons of paperwork. Afterward the immigration office told us we were supposed to have a fiancé visa instead of a tourist visa but it was too late so they had to give her the proper visa. Great to let guys know what to expect Miss Pea. Guys get a prenup.
Thanks for sharing that, Arnold, and your last words were important 👍
You backdoor'ed the system. The proper channel is through a K-1. It's a grey area, but you did the right thing. Paperwork takes much longer if you marry her there.
You do the Pokey Hokey and you shake it all about!
My dad was a Presbyterian pastor. He always required any couple to have a "Premarital Counseling" session with him before he would perform the wedding.
Hi Pea my wife and were married both in the Philippines and at our church in the US. Getting married in the Philippines wasn't anything difficult to do just a learning process for all the requirements. Getting married at a Catholic church has it's own process. This all started out to get our son baptized which we started 3 months before he was born. We talked to the priest and he reocommended that my wife get baptized at the same time. The class for our sons baptism was a 4 hour seminar on a Saturday. My wifes had to attend RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) which took 6 months of weekly classes. Because my wife had been in country less than a year I attended the classes as well because she was still working on her English. Also before she could get baptized we had to get married in the church which was more classes and going on a weekend retreat at the seminary. This all took about 8 months. What made this even more interesting we started this after my wife spent her first six months going back to school to get her high school diploma. Her surprise was she was able to attend school while pregnant. Unlike her high school in the Philippines when the girls have to drop out.
SIX MONTHS of classes??? 😳
the pea videos are always on time. great to see your channel growing my friend! very proud of you!

My fiancé had to laugh we were talking about just this same topic prenup last night before this video was posted. No worries people if the Filipino really loves you it’s a signed Deal, the prenup that is. I’m loving life in the Philippines.
So you’re getting the prenup? Congrats! ❤️😂

Yeah, Gracelyn is a very beautiful woman and definitely one of the most attractive female lawyers I've seen.
Prenups should be talked about right after marriage is proposed (or even before so as not to kill the vibe). Make sure your future spouse knows that is a non-negotiable issue.

What you are describing Jesus and the Church call “fornication/adultery.” This is a mortal sin.
Is she still legally married to another like most are?
Sorry but it makes a BiG difference!
I have been married twice and my second marriage was in Panama. The Notary in Panama gave a small lecture on marriage in Panama and our responsibilities to each other. I found this very informative, and a very cute way to introduce us to married life. Standards of Responsibilities would never be given in an American Civil Wedding. I think this is a good thing, and does no one any harm.
When I was married for the first time to a Catholic woman I also had to complete a lecture on marriage, but it was all about the Catholic Church and all the BullSh*t that goes along with that type of marriage. I did not learn a thing.
Getting married is still not a good idea even if you sign a pre nup.
There is just no benefits for men to get married.
But women just keep trying to convince men otherwise..
The process was just so easy when you have all requirements but crazy attending the counseling, it was via Zoom. It was basically discussing about family planning, it is crazy because people attending seem not interested, hahaha.

Great segment Pea. I really appreciate Gracelyn's advice on preparation for marriage to my Filipina..due to the perspective of my age, and my Filipinas age I can understand the shock value in what is needed, but knowing this information lessens that shock which will occur from loss of time and time wasted due to cultural ignorance. What if you where married to a Filipina in the Philippines but when you brought her to your country later you divorced her so how does this work if your now wanting to marry another Filipina in the Philippines can it be done?
You can, but you have to get the first marriage annulled first (long time, big bucks) 😳
@@TheFilipinaPea so I can’t bring my divorce decree to the Philippine to show I’m already divorced
@@bruce2535josie you only get one Filipina to screw it up with.
@@bruce2535josie depends if your ex wife became a citizen of your country. If not then your still married in the Philippines, since there is no divorce here currently. Only option is annulment which is costly and takes a long time.
You can file divorced in your country and go to philippines and recognized your divorce and your free to marry or else get marry in other country like hongkong ,simple as that ..
You neglected to mention the long lead times needed to obtain certain documents. This is especially relevant when getting married on short notice. My filipina girlfriend and I got married in May 2024. To notarize an affidavit stating that I was eligible to get married, I had to wait SIX WEEKS for a notary appointment at the US consulate in Manila. Then, with all necessary documents in hand, the local civil registrar told us we had to wait 11 DAYS before receiving the marriage license. I nearly had to change my return flight to the US, but managed to have the wedding five days before departure. This was after waiting FIVE YEARS for my girlfriend to get her first marriage annulled. What a crazy country!
Also remember Pea, the validity of the pre-nup is ultimately limited by the laws of the legal jurisdiction where the marriage is dissolved. Some States (Community Property) look less favorably on pre-nups because of the disparity in wealth and assets between foreigner and Filipina the fact that your spouse had a lawyer to counsel her prior to executing the document the reality is the lawyer was paid by the husband and can therefore be consider more beholding to him than the wife. This is all dependent on the laws in place in the location where the divorce is filed and rarely those of where the marriage was because we both know the Philippines doesn't even have divorce. My recommendation, be kind, loving, and supportive to your Filipina spouse. Not every relationship will work out but ALWAYS get a province (strongly support Visaya) girl and if you do the three things I mentioned earlier even if it doesn't work out her pride will protect you from losing everything because she will have a better life thanks to you.
Always amazing Miss Pea !!
Easier to just have a girlfriend, some of the best girlfriends I ever had was already married 😅

One word of advice to getting married in the Philippines. This goes out to everyone in the Philippines.
DO NOT EVER GET MARRIED in the Philippines.
Until the country joins literally the rest of the world and legalizes divorce, just live together or travel outside the country to marry so at least if things go bad, you might be able to get a tourist divorce in Guam.
The only way both the intractable Philippine government and the Catholic Church is forced to change if Filipinos en masse stop getting married at all or in the country.
And get a pre-nup. Better yet, just spin plates. Peace.
Divorce and remarriage is a sin in the eyes of the Church; this will not change as it is God's law.
Yes l completely agree. If the marriage doesn't work out .. your only option is annulment and that's a very painfully slow road. My fiancee is currently 5 years into her annulment. Take your gf to Thailand or somewhere else and get married.
Who the fuck cares if divorce is legal or not? All you need is common sense to marry someone good.
You did the video I requested, and said you would do! I am impressed, and so happy you did this one.
Just to clarify, so I know what I would be doing, lol...
What are MY requirements to be married in the Philippines, as a never married before male?
1) Provide the Office of the Civil Registrar with my legal capacity to marry form, obtained from my Embassy.
2) Get a CENOMAR form from the Philippines Statistics Authority.
3) Birth Certificate.
4) Passport.
5) Fill out a form at the Office of the Civil Registrar.
6) Attend a seminar (marriage counseling), in the Office of the Civil Registrar.
Then I'll be issues a marriage license?
I disagree with Gracie, I was married in the Philippines twice and only had to aquire the legal capacity to marry from the Embassy. I have never acquired a Cenomar from the NSO for anyone but my Filipina spouses. The seminars you have to attend are directly related to the age of your Filipina. If she is under the age of 25 you will have to attend the normally required seminar in addition to a family planning seminar where they talk about not having more kids than you can support (they look at the foreigner and your Filipina and say "Oh don't worry this doesn't apply to you. You can have as many babies as you want.) If your prospective spouse is 20 and under, her parents (if surviving) or a legal guardian must sign the request for the marriage contract at the local municipal office.
you sound more knowledgeable than the lawyer. How r ur English skills so much better than everyone else’s?
Because I lived in England for 30 years also a union representative so I know quite a lot about British law , phillophines lawers only few now English law only a little , the rest live phillophines don’t have a clue about documents which are real or fake another said thing is the City Hall in phillophines don’t have real temple plates to show which is real or fake never been to British embassy to find out this very sad
this was a great video and good learning tool as i am about to embark on this journey with my Filipina partner in August this year. she is a province girl but lives close to Manila now and one of the most caring and loving person i have ever met
I married my wife in Cainta last month, and wanted to add my thoughts: You actually don't have to go to the Embassy to get the Legal Capacity to Marry form. You can print one online and get it notarized by the public attorney at the local municipal building, for a small fee... Make sure that the info on the cenomar and birth certificate are exactly the same. My wife's cenomar had her father's middle name and her birth certificate did not, so we had to go to the PSA office to get a new cenomar... Have a minimum of 3 photocopies of EVERYTHING to provide to the LCR... The marriage seminar was in Tagalog, so my wife had to translate for me, but we are in our 40's and the seminar is primarily for younger couples... If you are planning on going to the Philippines to marry, don't rely on what you find on google. If you have facebook, join groups and ask a lot of questions to people who have been through the process. It helps!
Always a pleasure to have our favorite attorney visit the site :)
Wow! That yellow dress is awesome!
What about night 15,695? What about the rule of planting 20 banana plants? I need a refresher after 43 years. Beautiful in yellow. FAITH BULL!!
Hi Pea. Thank you for the video it’s always good to see Gracie and I to add my vote for her being the prettiest lawyer in the Philippines or anywhere else for that matter. You look radiant today in yellow it’s a very good look for you. It’s good to know from a legal standpoint what to expect or needs to be done if marrying a Filipina is in someone’s future. Thank you again look forward to your next video in the meantime I will ask Genie Pea if she can grant the wish of arriving safely to your next video. 💕
I can handle that wish 👍❤️
Hi Pea
Excellent content on the pre nup process however you forgot to mention. What would the cost be?
Love how Pea's long beautiful hair is on her right side and Gracie's long beautiful hair was on her left side. Was this arranged?
Definition of a marriage license : A piece of paper that allows a lawyer to take half of everything you have and give it to her.
Lots of great information, presented with fun!
But we have to talk about the thumbnail... I'll bet that there were a lot of heartbroken guys in internet land, seeing you in a wedding dress!🤣 (You do make a lovely bride!👍🏼)
Take good care!
Well if it ever happens for real, I’ll think about filming it 😂👍
Pea like always informative and fun, Gracy isn't just the prettiest lawyer but also one of the smartest, I'm impressed, you pick your friends well.
Thanks pea. I’m learning stuff about my filipina monthly.
I got Married in 1990 at Olongapo Lutheran Service Center. Luz had to attend a on Base wife Class. Since she was 24 all we needed was the License. So we been married over 31 years.
Pea, great information, as always. I wasn't aware about the man having to get the Cenomar or the lecture process. You look fantastic in yellow! You are also correct about Gracie being the prettiest lawyer in Dumaguete! I love you in the Jeanie costume !
It’s different from island to island - sometimes I guess you don’t need it 👍😊
@@TheFilipinaPea Yes, seems a lot of things are like that there. Depends on the Barangay. lol
Many churches in the US require pre marriage counseling before you can be married.
Pea, You have been to the US now. But only during our summer. I wonder if you plan on visiting the US during our winter months? I also wonder if you have ever thought about doing any videos about the US and our seemingly crazy weather changes so Philipnas will have an idea of what it's going to be like living here with her American husband. You've done a good job of trying to prepare expats on life in the Philipines and life with a Philipina.
Yes, I intend to come back again next year, and see the snow! 👍😊
@TheFilipinaPea bring warm cloths. Or get them while you're here
Always this Attorney Brings Useful Information to the Table 🙂
Lots of good info as always, and a double helping of glamour is certainly appreciated. Interesting about the prenup, I don’t think too many Uk wives would be very happy about that. Yep, yellow is your colour Pea 😋
If I was a man, there’s no way I’d get married without a prenup, unless I was just starting out with no assets to protect 👍
I can honestly say that Gracie is the prettiest Filipina Lawyer I've ever met! TRUE FACT!
Marry in your home country which probably doesn't have the same paperwork fetish as the Philippines, then get a blessing over there for her friends and family to feel included.
Nice wedding dress, Pea. Just say’n, haha. Looks really good.
Thanks Pea! But too late! haha we were married March 21 during my trip there! 🥳 Now just trying to get her over here in OZ 🤔
Hello pea
Another great video.
Looking beautiful as always. Before marrying a Filipina every one should remember divorce is not a common practice in Philippines.
Stay safe
For U.S. citizen's our embassy does not give Certificate of Legal Capacity to Contract Marriage. Instead we need to get an Affidavit in Lieu of Certificate of Legal Capacity to Contract Marriage. We can get this done at the U.S. Embassy in Manila or the U.S. Consulate in Cebu, but the Philippines government is now letting U.S. citizens to fill out the Affidavit and have it notarized by any Notary Public in the Philippines making it much easier. This information is from the Philippines Statistics Authority; Memorandum Circular No. 2021-04 dated 26 March 2021. If you would like, I can email it to you. Thank you!
Philippines law has changed - it’s no longer required to get the capacity to marry at the foreigners embassy. Couples can now apply for marriage license at the local provincial registrar. The necessary documents are the same but the embassy process is no longer necessary. The registrar can research and notarize our affidavit as to capacity to marry.
Pea looking absolutely stunning in that yellow ♥
Thanks for another timely video, the Most Beautiful CZcams Vlogger and the Prettiest Attorney in Dumaguete. I took notes. I'll show them to you.
Another good video Pea. Sofia and I love it when you have Gracie on. She is well informed and tells it in an easy way to understand, as you do in most of your videos. Prenups protect both parties
from outside and inside influences. Due to my situation, Sofia and I will not not be marrying but we will be setting up things in place to protect both of us. Understanding Philippine law and how it works regarding foreigners is important, and that is why Sofia and I will be seeking advise from Gracie when I move there in October. Even if she puts together with a lawyer she knows in the San Pedro Laguna area. Truly love seeing both of you again. Have a fantastic day!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m glad you agree with prenups, Gas Man 👍😂
Hi Captain Pea. You ladies look’s amazing. My only advice to men prior to getting marring is to make sure that your partner is not singing the PH National Anthem on the wedding night. Otherwise, you have to wait for an other 10 days to understand a wedding night.
My name is David and I been chatting with this Philippina for 21/2 years and I hope I to be there by August of 2022 so I can marry her
I was married in the Philippines in 2018 did not need a senamar just the certificate from the US embassy in cebu and filed for the license at the local govt and paid the current taxes showing my wife was a current resident
Yup, it seems that different islands even have different regulations 😂😂😂
Only in the Philippines 👍
