I can see her supporting her parents but NOT the capable siblings . It was not the way I was brought up in Canada . Canadians have many support programs for those who are unable to work and pensions for seniors . The Philippines do not thus the cultural difference in thinking . It is somewhat difficult to not be judgemental when someone does wrong, knows they have done wrong, then when interviewed comes on wearing sunglasses, as if that will disguise their identity. I hear over, and over, over and over, that Americans are rich because they turn a dollar into 50 pesos. Americans also turn our one gallon into 4 litres. In case you didn't know, one gallon and 4 litres look EXACTLY the same when you pour them into a bucket, because one gallon and 4 liters are the same. I don't know if a Filipino mind can understand this, but one dollar and 50 pesos are EXACTLY the same. If an American IS " rich " it's because when he left school at 18 he took some job and worked 40 hours each week for 50 years. If you are a Filipino who wants to live like a rich American , then take any job you can get and work that job for 50 years. Then when you are 67 years old you can have the same wonderful life that we enjoy. I'm "richer" than most Americans because I collect %100 disability from my government. I'm "rich" because my government told me during their war with Vietnam that if I would help them win their war they would pay me for it. They also said if you are sick or injured while helping us fight our war, we will take care of you. If you are a Filipino who wants to be "really rich !" like me , then do what I did. Join the Army and then the Navy too during a war and come home seriously crippled for the rest of your life. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT , the money's GREAT.

Hi Pea: I might have to think about this one for some time. For right now, I'll just consider her a girl with an unusual job, doing a bit "above and beyond", due to her dire circumstances. I think you have to have been to the Philippines, and perhaps seen some of the harsher conditions that exist there to appreciate what she and her family may be enduring. So I'm not going to be so quick to judge. Part of me admires her dedication to provide for her family, even if there is perhaps an immoral component in place. I have never entered into an arrangement like that in my travels. But as a young Navy man there were some girls in certain countries I got with. Didn't last long before I would have to leave.
