- This will be a multi part series on the construction of a flatbed utility body for my one-of-a-kind E-450 Econoline van chassis. I guarantee you won't see another build like this one, or your money back.
I got a similar deal I got a 2013 ford e450 v10 6.8L with 125k miles on it, former municipal vehicle used by the Marshall to transport prisoners. Found complete service records in the glove box. New engine installed at 92k!🤩
I only paid 4 grand on it, not many people know about these police auctions.. This truck goes for $24,000 to $27,000 when equipped with a box trailer body!
Nothing odd about using your head and saving money!!!
Do you not have winter grade diesel wherever you live and operate at?
Apart from easier cold starting, I'd prefer diesel in the winter. Cold has less impact on fuel efficiency and diesels don't mind long idle times as much as gasoline.
Not ragging on it, I'm quite interested in the end result anyways.
Yes we do. We also cut with kerosene. And use fuel additives when necessary. Seems like even with all that, gassers seem to operate more problem free
I’m interested in what the chassis is able/rated to tow? Isn’t their mfg GCWR low?
The gvw is 16. Gcvwr is like 20. So yes it's low. But the gcvwr isn't listed anywhere without digging or contacting the manufacturer. I've towed 17k with it. I have it registered for 26.
The evolution circular saw what model is it did it come with the laser? Thanks
its the 9-1/2 inch. I would not recommend the saw. Cheap plastic parts where steel or even pot metal should be used. The base angle clamp is already stripped. the angle guide is a sticker. Just really poorly made. Buy the Milwaukee
