Lol guys don’t be disappointed, watch till the end!!
Idk man, I just spent 3 years in a 2016 f-250 6.7, and just got into a 2017 3500 6.6 (L5P), and it feels good to me, and the numbers aren't that different. The Ford did everything I ever asked of it, but I'm loving this new LTZ Duramax. I'm not really brand loyal, just got out of the Ford because I needed a dually, and the Chevy was a good deal. I would happily own a Ford or Chevy, and I have. Wouldn't touch a Dodge with a ten foot pole, however. Only had bad experiences there.
They were a lot of changes made since 2016
I have a Ram/Cummins Tradesman 2500 and a GMC Duramax L5P 3500 Denali. I put 30k miles on a Ford 6.7 Powerstroke and I didn't really like that truck much... If I had to choose one, the GMC gets the nod. Plus the Duramax spanked that 7.3 gas Godzilla Ford truck in a drag race. I'm not brand loyal either... The GMC/Chevy trucks seem to ride softer.
i had a 2017 Ford 350 i got the death wobble at 15000 mile Ford no help so i fixed it. I now own a 2019 Chevy high country 1 ton. All Good Now.
Testing the waters to see if its ok to come out, huh. 🤣🤣🤣
Dan Snyder haha
May make me unsubscribe lol
Your channel isn't broke, don't try to fix it with a Chevy. Peace
Somethings you will notice if you get a gm is they like to use the entire tool set when you work on them. They look like they would be easy to work on as there Is room under the hood but in order to make it look like there’s room they packed everything in so tight that it has to come apart in a certain order.
I did a cab removal and head gaskets on my 6.0 and that only used like 8-10 different sockets for the entire job.
I just did my lml cab removal and head gaskets last summer and it was more then 25 different sockets and torques and stupid stuff like three bolts holding down fuel lines to and from the filter same thread size one is a 13 the other is 10 and the third is 12. I was not impressed with the build but it’s a nice truck now.
truth
had a 15 LML Denali, when it was stock it was gutless, I had to invest some real money to get it to be where a Powerstroke power is, Finally this year 2021 I bought a new 2021 Platinum F-250 and I couldn't be any happier. Great videos keep up the good work
so hows it holding up ?
Ford=head,turbo issues
Chevy=injector,fuel delivery, tie rod issue
Dodge= transmission issues
Pick your poison they all have their problems.
Stop being a brand fanboy.
The ford head gasket issues aren’t as bad as they were in like a 6.0 and I’ve never really heard anything about their turbos but Chevy also has bad wiring and ram makes poor quality interiors
What are your thoughts regarding a 2019 vs 2020 F350 power stroke? Local dealers have a few 2019 XLTs left and I can get a pretty heavy discount since it's last year's model. But I don't want to have buyer's remorse with the 2020 hp/torque increases and the 10 speed transmission. Planning to keep the truck indefinitely, so long term happiness and reliability is my main priority.
I couldn’t agree more and my exact thoughts. I came from a 08 tuned 6.4 Ford. Awesome top end power and great outward vision all around the truck. BUT my 2018 GMC 2500 L5P has way more bottom end power. It pulls hard right out of the gate but doesn’t have the top end my Ford had. I’ve pulled combined weight of close to 25k and trucks pulls it effortlessly. For me I like this better because I tow a lot. Also truck is much more comfortable and way better on long trips. I’ve been a Ford owner all my life but my first GMC has me smiling. Love this truck.
The new 6.7 has more low end power than l5p you made a bad choice switching to an inferior product,
@@tylersutton1048 Chill out fanboy. Everyone can have their own tastes.
I have to agree with you! I got rid of my first and only powerjoke! I owned a ‘09 F-250 6.4 with almost one million miles on it for for six years and although it never left me on foot it was exhausting trying to keep up with all of the crap so it wouldn’t leave me on the side of the road. Plus my hometown ford dealership sucks! Traded the ford for a 2022 Chevy 3500 dually back in October and it pulls and rides a million time better than the Ford. Only ford I may consider on buying would be the ol 7.3. The ford really didn’t have a million miles but it did have 193k on it and for a 6.4 that’s almost having a million miles! The new Chevy does put a smile on your face! When o get out and take a few steps I have to look back and admire the truck. I even park it in front on my cameras so I can log into my system and look at it!…..LOL! Love my truck as well! Haters gonna hate!
" *my first GMC has me smiling* "
I agree. My first General Motors truck was purchased 3 weeks ago and it's the nicest truck I've ever driven.
@@tylersutton1048 that's true .
Little off topic but I have a 07 6.0 powerstroke and want a new tuner with custom tunes. Who can I contact about this? currently have garbage mini maxx.
Thanks for coming clean at the end, I was about to say , what kind of holy hell mid life crisis you going through.....lol. you gotta stay powerstroke, well technically you dont have too, but in your heart you know it's the right thing to do..... lol
i think a 5th gen megacab ho cummins with asain transmission would me incredible but hey, that’s me🤷🏼♂️
Off topic but just wondering when will my order ship? Great content, not fan of newer chevys
You can have those dam Ford's, biggest mistake I ever made was buying one, in the shop all the time for turbo's, CEL that even Ford couldn't figure out. Finally got rid of the POS Ford and bought a 2018 L5P and never had any more prolems.
You still liking the gm truck? I traded in my 2016 cummins on a new 2020 f250 lariat with the new 7.3 gas and 10 speed. Great truck, I just want to go back to a diesel.
Good
Def tank is now relocated so what’s the verdict
I had a 2017 L5P high country and I always thought how great it was until I bought a new powerstroke I’m not planning on down grading any time soon
Much more roomier cab I can tune it Duramax are blocked and it just feels like a more powerful truck overall and a whole lot more features inside of the cab
@Auto Buildz , floor on the cab still made of steel.
Do you ever have issues with EPA and making videos on your trucks?
Love my 2018 (deleted) L5P
That model Chevy looks really nice with a ranch hand legend series full replacement front bumper on it
boost auto parts mirrors on that truck with recon led cab lights would look great
Don’t you do it!!!! I was a duramax man and bought a new powerstroke because of your videos and I love it !
Is your Ford a 2017?
Definitely like the looks and the technology in the Ford is better but definitely like the 19’s better than the 2020 chevys
Bro,
You got me 😤
I was like whatttttt !!
People complain about gm Def tank hanging low, but they add a fass that hangs low!
🤣😅
random question, are you guys making any more SPE FULL LOCK REAR DIFF KIT for the 2018 F150 ecoboost? I would like to pick on up.
Yes. They are in stock. :) Work great too.
@@dansnyder8186 Tell your web guy ha ha ha, just went on to order and still says Out of stock.
Not on the SPE site?
@@SPEMotorsport Hey tell your web guy I am an IDIOT ha! it IS on your site. i was getting directed to one of your vendors. My bad, going to order now. thanks.
That's was a good video thank you
‘atta boy, nice to see you switch sides...
Stick with what you know Super Duty and Nitro Cold Brew!
Im a chevy guy but I say go for the 2020 stroker
2020 gmc would be hard
First time watching your channel. Tricked me, ha.
Hey if you want power stick with the Ford powerstroke or cause Cummins better for towing and hauling...me am a Cummins boy....but it's your choice man...nice vids...''Jah love"
At 4000 miles that truck isn’t broke in yet. I have one at it seem like once it hit 12000 miles it became a whole different truck. It had way more power and the fuel mileage was a lot better.
I came to this channel for the Powerstroke.
Is that bang energy drink?
Make a vid on how to do an egr delete on the 6.7!
amen brother i agree
On the market for a 1 tonne truck. Like the 6.7 powerstroke. My friends are screaming at me. Need an unbiased opinion. Plan on keeping 1 truck for the next 10-20 years
I totaled my 6.7 ford. Them 19 Chevys are getting crazy deals. I looked at a 20 gmc at4 that was 11k off sticker.
Should have bought the at4
Haha the end 😂
9:48..that damn Covid lmao
Thought you was keeping the 17 it was old faithful aweeeeman
I got a 2018 f350 and my father got a 2019 d 2500 . Everyone I let drive both everyone says I'll rather drive my ford anyday then
2020 Ford no doubt. Get one 👍
Duramx engine is really good and reliable, too bad rest of the truck is a poor quality and simply garbage.
@@MarcinKryszak exactly.
I loved my gm motors. I even loved the trucks themselves, ride quality, comfort, looks. But they straight fall apart. I also had a ton of little electrical issues. On a couple of my gm's. My fords go hard. Not 100% without issue, but in comparison it made me a ford man for life. 👊
I'll say it again. Go 450
Get a 350 platinum tremor star white.
Father in-law must like you that would never fly in my life
Good thing i watched the entire video because i was gonna press the unsubscribe button faster than... *click*
Cory you gotta try the orange dreamsicle reign. So freakin good.
Thats the best flavor
I prefer low in power for towing that's what you want out of the diesel top end a little bit but a lot of these guys are just trying to run them like tuner cars which I think is stupid I own a '04 Duramax and it tow everything that I have on the ranch just fine and yes it's all stock
yes
I agree, the front end on the 2020 Chevrolet 2500hd is ugly!! That's the same reason I bought a 19...👍👍
Where’s that 6.4 Corey?!?!
Nice truck dmax
It’s the right body style
Most full coolant tank ever
Gotta say I’m kind of worried if you go Chevy everyone compare you to dirtymax and dmaxryno. Know a coupe guys that will subscribe if you do the dodge, I know I’ll keep watching.
Definitely interested in tour dodge impression, not that I’d spend my money on one but kinda liked my worn truck Cummins
Should have got a Ram for so many reasons.
What is hot shoting
You are just giddy to get a new truck rn aren’t you.
Powerstroke 100%
I have plenty of experience with them all.
Cummings, bring a toolbag, and if you are over 6' tall, you wont be comfortable.
Duramax, aint got the power... and be ready to replace the front end parts.
Powerstroke, superior in power and comfort! Only thing is install some aftermarket charge pipes and keep on trucking.
Need to do a dodge. No one has videos on those bad boys.
Lol there’s nothing to see. Just kidding
Should purchase a 2020. The trans will make you change your mind.
Have fun popping the hood to add DEF.
In all fairness your 6.7 Powerstroke no longer has stock tuning, so of course you miss your Platinum with a tune and certain parts that 'fell off', lol. A stock 2017-2019 6.7 Powerstroke has similar performance to the stock L5P. If you're interested, I'll drive down to Pittsburgh to see how my Banks Derringer equipped L5P with Ram-Air Intake would run vs your 6.7 in a drag race!! I'm only 1.5 hours north of ya.
truckguyjoe that would be a huge waste of your fuel and time. I’ve raced several modded out duramax trucks with my ‘12 F350 and closest they came to catching me was 6 truck lengths in the quarter. If you’ve never driven a 6.7, you don’t have a clue.
John Doran what does your truck run in the 1/4 mile?
@@johndoran3274 There are plenty of videos on CZcams of deleted 2015+ 6.7 Powerstrokes running anywhere from 13.80-14.20. My emissions intact L5P runs consistent 14.08-14.10. I'm not saying my truck is quicker than Corey's, but I would hang with him from 0-95. I've raced ALOT of diesels with my truck. His 2017 is not putting 6 truck lengths on me. I would put $$$ on it!!
@@johndoran3274 time slip is at the end of this video. I ran a 14.06. Just like to backup my claims. Lot's of BS on CZcams as you know: czcams.com/video/cFdfWqErwr8/video.html
truckguyjoe my truck runs 12.0s fuel only and 11.4s on the gas. Nothing major done internally full delete, SPE tune , trans brake, and a lift pump. I used to sled pull it but it’s cheaper to drag. Less broken stuff at the end of the day.
Power stroke & Cummins > Chevy
Duramax > Cummins & Ford
always loyal to one FOREVER
2019 6.7 Powerstroke FTW!!!
buy carli suspension for your ford and youll never wanna ride in one of those Duramax's again
I have a 2019 dirtymax 2500. It has 326,000 on it from hot shotting. Still runs like new. I bought it new. It gets waaaaayyyy better mileage than the powersmoke. The only issue I’ve had is the turbo was throwing codes so I pulled it and installed a brand new Ryan’s diesel service 64mm turbo on it.
Deleted or stock?
None of these new diesels smoke .
@@selfmadeproductions934 it might be missing a couple parts?? 😆
@@shaunarchangel3872 if there’s a missing particulate it does. A lot!! Not that I would know from experience….. 😎
My boss had his control arm break on his 2018 duramax 1600 miles out of warranty
run from it
Stay with the Dmax!
Can you do hotshot driving in an f150?
Jaxson Bollinger you could, but it’s going to severely limit what you can tow
If you get a Duramax the next thing you will be doing is squatting to pee.
🤣🤣🤣
Boy you scared me
Go watch gail banks l5p build
Only reason why I subbed was that power joke 😕
Everytime I see a lifted chevy all I think is how it looks like it skipped leg day
Like the video's 😳 BUT come on.... Go get a real suspension on your F250 "CARLI" and then tell me about the ride of a real great truck😉😉😉👍
THANK GOD you didn’t go to the dark side. 6.7 life or no life!
Fuck yeah..I'm a mechanic in central Texas.. hit me up for any of your Ford needs! Let your buddies know!
W. J. You know where the money is at 😂
Ford vs Chevy next up fire vs paper come on boys we all know what’s up.
Yeah wrong move and big mistake
Yep. You just lost ur man card.
Seen so many of the new Chevy small diesels fail. No confidence in that brand.
Pass
1:32 smell that? yup thats the smell of def fluid lol outdated interior... less displacement .. idk about trading a powerstroke for an isuzu lol cheers
The Ford is the best
All u Ford guys are so insecure! Mad cuz someone was curious about another truck. Talking bout man cards and peeing sitting down. Pretty sure there’s always someone that has more money that can make their truck stronger/tougher than the other. The Chevy is not ugly and neither is the Ford. Now days all the trucks look good, and if you get a truck that’s proven to be good and reliable for a better deal, than what’s the problem?
2020 ford f350 king of the road
It’s ugly, the mirrors adjust on the Ford. The 1 ton suspension rides better than the 250.
EWWWWWWW NOOOOOOOOOO WTF EWWWWWWW PLEASE Switch back to the power stroke the 2020 F350 is the best. Yeah he is staying with the F350 👍🏻👍🏻
Mustang D best220 lmao did you even watch the video
F450 is king
The New Life. Pt2 Yeah fam
My only problem is that he is not being loyal, choose one and stick with it
First comment! Hope you like it man. I would have loved to owner the power stroke
Daniel Warren That’s the worst truck ever Chevy and GM is garbage also Ram 2020 ford F250 and F350 Powerstroke is the best
Mustang D best220 I traded my ram for a ford. Wish I had done it sooner.
Daniel Warren really why Is it because ram is shit
I owned a 6.0 powerstroke...junk. I owned a 2010 6.4 powerstroke...absolute junk. I owned a 2012 6.7...junk ceramic ball bearings in the turbo and numerous wire chaffing issues left me stranded. No more Ford products for me as they use the customer base as their test bed. Oh, but the new generation is better.....death wobble in the front end. Ridiculous. Ill take the new totally revised 2020 LP5 (watch the gale banks videos on the breakdown of this engine) with the Allison 10 speed. The Duramax has been in production for 20 years and constantly refined, not scrapped every few year like the powerstrokes. For example: 6.0 powerstroke 2003-2007 RIP, 6.4 2008-2010 worst ever, 6.7 2011-2020 with three complete generations in 9 years. Come on Ford, get it right and I'll return as a customer.
same replacement engine for a 2011 powerstroke and a 2019 powerstroke JC3Z 6006 C thats right 2011 through 2019 three generations just power increases and upgrades , still basically the same engine. INTERCHANCABLE! duramax NOT
Give that chev to your girlfriend
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Lmao spends money on new wheels wants to get rid of it like tf
Hell yea get the DuraMax!
I was this close to unsubscribing!!
Why would you downgrade???
Just go with the cummins and be done with it!!!
I’m gone!!!!! Duramax doesn’t do it for me!!!
