Giving 4 games to 6 in tournaments is one of the 3 reasons I quit 9 ball 30 years ago at 24 at a top player with a 135 speed on the USPPA. Started playing again 2 months ago played more in 2 months than in the last 30 years & started making some CZcams videos. Cheers
Nice work on the videos, bro! I subscribed!
@@Amateur_Poolthank you I got a few more cool ones coming then I’m going to load some multiple rack runs. It’s never the same game twice. Cheers
Bill is no 3... regardless of the result... as a league operator, he should know when a player (including himself) is under handicapped and adjust them accordingly.
Ya.. i don't disagree with you
I'd say he's a 3 who just aims decently. His cue ball control and adjustment for spin was definitely 3'ish
Been playing at least once a week for almost 10 years and never had a break and run...guess thats just the way it is. I can hear it...keep up the good work.
Thanks! They're tough to get. The pros make them look easy but, that's why they're pros..
Great match! As a lower handicap myself, I completely identify with the guy you played. Keep up the awesome work and thanks for posting!
Thanks for watching!
Keep up the great videos Josh! When I played years ago I was lucky to be w guys like me that didn’t drink… we’ll get drunk! In tournaments we’ve played from 6 am until 3 am and those great shots who also drank alot couldn’t hang!!
Yup.. it's hard for them to maintain without getting hammered! Thanks for the support!
I’d love to see a one pocket match and banks. Maybe even some straight pool!
straight pool! ❤
I like straight pool but, noone plays it around here..
@@Amateur_Pool I just found out my local pool hall has a straight pool league! I thought it was dead here as well. I’m looking forward to it!
@@chadmoore3330 awesome!
Great Match under the pressure of "having" to win so many. Thanks for the Saturday entertainment.
Thanks, Carson!
Great match Josh :) Love the commentary and content
Thank you!
wow, Great come back. way to keep ur head in the game.
Thank you!
Nice video little Timmy, LOL. Hope all is well Josh! Love the tough acting tinactin!
😂🤣.. thank you
Got that perimeter light. Best purchase I ever made… love this thing thanks for the recommendation!
For sure! I def love mine!
Little Timmy made you miss the 4 ball 🤪 lol. Great match Josh! Lovin' the content and commentary. Keep it up brother. 👍
Thank you sir!
Ive got nothing against the less serious players at league as long as they are trying and having fun. Im like you the pool is the fun part. I did have a problem years ago with a team that had a player that was more their for socializing and you had the go find them when your game was ready and then they would disappear again when you were at the table and would have to chase them again when it was their turn. I got a little mad and told them the next time the left during a game it was a forfeit. I also warned them the next time we played i would only wait so long for them to get to the table for their game or they would forfeit.
For sure... stuff like that is super annoying
Damn Son!!! Ran some really good routes. Figured Bill had you after winning the 1st one. Tough to run 5 straight, making it happening in the new league!
Thanks, Bob!
Very nice 6 game run when your back is against the wall he only needed one game and you had to win 6 wow bro that was great because your stroke was so off in the beginning and you just kept on fighting love it
Sometimes it's like that.. would have been way easier to just give up, lol
Thanks!
Thank you, Bro! 🤜🤛
Great comeback after a shaky start. Under the gun, and well held together
Thank you!
Home from my Monday night league match to watch. Tough actin tinactin night, but we pulled out a hill/hill win 9-8. Looking at the comments you had to come from behind. We did the same, down 8-6.
Boom! Tough actin' tinactin! Nice job on the hill/ hill win!
What dam fine comeback Josh! 6 in a row! Woohoo! Bill is definitely a 4 for sure. Keep up the great work!
Thanks, James! This was a tough match
Not yet, Bill needs some practice and seasoning
I’ve been in Davison my whole life and didn’t know this was near the area. Looks like a nice facility!
It's a cool place to play
At 34:54 I much prefer the 14 into the other side pocket, going up and back center table and staying on the far side of the table on screen that leaves you a better shot on the 11 or the other ball in the side pocket and possibly the ball in the corner if your speed is off.
Ya, i think your way would have been a better option... no traffic to avoid
@@Amateur_Pool That's the scary level of awareness I bring to the table. You know, you know, you already know.
@@AAAskeet 😂🤣
9 ball banks! I never heard of it that would be fun to see
Is just regular bank pool, with 9 balls (like they play at derby city).. it's a lot of fun
Great match Josh as always. I agree with your statement about tensing up on the shot. when i start playing really bad i notice most of the time it is due to gripping the cue to hard and powering in shots. if i force myself to relax i start shooting better. sometimes :). question for you Josh, with one pocket and straight pool. at what level would you say people should or could start playing? i tried straight pool but i cant make it past 1 rack so it feels like what is the point LOL. once again thanks for the great content Josh.
I say start playing it right away.. especially straight pool.. it will help teach patterns!
nice shooting joshy - looks like TAP is the way to go hah
Thanks, Tim.. i like it way better than apa so far
great content josh, every time i watch one of your videos i learn something new on how to get better shape on the cue ball, good effort by bill he definitely lost some confidence once you started to find your stroke, like you where saying just concentrate on the balls. play the table not your opponent (easier said than done) ! keep breaking more from the center don't want to hurt little Timmy, thank you!
Lol... thanks, John! I like the side break but, if it's not working, it's not working
Good shooting my pool brother🤙🏼🎱
Thank you!!
Im in a situation where most people have too much fun and don’t play pool seriously. It gets frustrating because we keep on losing points.😊
Ya.. the period that are there to just have fun need to respect the game still, or it makes it no fun for us
Nice match Josh! You survived after he got on the hill IMMEDIATELY 😅 when the opponent only races to 2, you need a strong mental game and you showed up dude!
Thanks, Drew! I appreciate it
love your videos man. They got any 9' leagues up there? you should get in on one if they do.
I don't think they do.. i'd have to travel a bit to find one.. i need more time on 9ft tables, for sure
Nice win.
Thanks!
You’re a 7 in tap now, I definitely need weight. Good shooting
Lol... thanks!
I would like to see some 8ball on bigger tables
Great idea!
Little Timmy said that was a great video angle, you should shoot more videos from the neck down🤣😂🤣
Lol
The players that only have to go to two are my toughest guys to play I would rather play a high for sure. At least I know what I’m dealing with you make one slip up or get on the bad set of balls and they’re on the hill.
Exactly! And, they always seem to shoot like champions when i play them, lol
Good game josh ....
I wish play a match with you ...
Maybe some day 🙂🙂🙂
You never know! We could cross paths one day!
I have a question I’m a sl-3 in Apa and tomorrow is my teams 9-ball match and the other team has a sl-8 and I said I would shoot against him I’m a pretty good 3 so is it a good idea to shoot him I would like ur opinion thanks
In 9 ball, i think that can be a great strategy! Doesn't work as well in 8 ball though.. good luck
@@Amateur_Pool thank you and yea I don’t think it would work in 8-ball either
Are you going to do anymore drill videos that helped you? And I would be curious how you warm up before league.
Ya... i will probably do more drill videos! My warm up is just to shoot balls (if i can get an open table) to loosen up my stroke. Nothing special
Yeah if Bill played where he hit a few of his shots with more authority and confidence instead of almost always slow rolling he could be a handful to play against
Ya.. he was playing a little bit timid
hey josh, do you have a fargo rating?
I do! Not sure how accurate it is though 😏(526)
15 ball rotation would be cool.
Phewww.. that's a tough game!
Hitting them good Bro! I think you just needed a little time to get comfortable with a new league. Tell Little Timmy to wrap it!
Thanks, Bob! It feels a little better now that I'm settled in, for sure! Thanks for the support!
Good match love the content. Got a short rail shirt coming. Going to get one of the perimeter lights, am looking for a good ball cleaner think you can talk them into letting you review their ball cleaner?
Lol... i actually let them know I'd be happy to review one.. probably in the future.. i truly appreciate all the support
Bet you could come up with a good commercial for them lol.
Ball cleaners are fairly simple to make. 5 gallon bucket, some carpet, buffer pad and motor, dimmer swith to control it and that's basically it. I was using a homemade one just last night, they work awesome. I'm sure there are probably instructional videos for them here on CZcams.
@procrastinator6902 thought about making a video on making one, actually!
@shaneb5755 lol... not sure it would be a "PG' commercial though! Lol
lets see that one pocket match!
I can make that happen!
35:17 Question TIMMAAAY!! from this angle, it seems you were able to just shoot it into the corner and follow to mid table to make the 10 in the side instead of drawing. Was that possible? When you said you were jacking up to draw, my brain yelled out WHAAAAT? lol
No.. i had to much angle and would have ran into that clutter
Did you get the tap started because of the apa? I didn’t realize this was a whole new league
Yup... I'm done with apa. They don't treat the players fairly!
Definitely not a 3! I understand it is the rules, but I would definitely adjust if I knew I was better than a 3, which I'm sure he does.
ya, we had a new player on our team. We knew he used to shoot well but hadn't played in a while. We told the LO right up front and they started him at a 4 (he went to a 5 after the first night). Coincidently, that is who this guy played in the other match. This guy drilled him (because of the spot he had to give up).
Little Timmy, come back with that score sheet! All I see is 0 to 0 the whole match, ya know!?
I know man.. even after i seen it during commentary, i still forgot to fix it.. my bad!
That break from the rail into the 2nd row is so stupid, it doesn't provide any consistency and most of the time the cue ball either scratches or you get clusters on the side of the table you broke from.
I’d love to see some one pocket
I can make that happen!
27:08 Actually, we do not 😂
I know... i already know, bro.. i STILL forgot to fix it before i posted it, lol
@@Amateur_Pool You already know Timmy ain't cutting you no slack after you tried killing him on the break lol
@@procrastinator6902 for sure!! 🤣😂
I already knew.
Lol
WTH was Bill trying to do at 18:50? He could have cut into the side or almost looked like a dead bank. Why would he try some weird safety? He def plays bettee than a 3. Someone explain this. Was it a miscue?
I'm not sure what he was thinking there. I thought for sure he would bank it
Not sure if I learn more or laugh more from your commentating, kinda a toss up 😂.
That's awesome! Exactly what I'm going for!! Thank you
Eric
I love that table.
Nice shootin little Timmy but score still says 0-0 and match about over.
I know.. i still forgot to fix it, even after commentating! Lol.. my bad
I also think the ball needs a hole.
🤣
they dont have games like this up here just bar LEAGUE
Where are you at?

@@troybizeau5979 ya, not much up in the tip there!

That's a long one... is be down though (make it a few part series)
This is why I don’t play TAP and I’m quitting APA. 😢
Awww... you should still play pool, even if not tap or apa... 😢
@@Amateur_Pool I will. I think getting my butt kicked in tournaments is a better education anyway. 🙂
@@Amateur_Pool Btw, I was a 5 in TAP and APA - and comparatively, no I was NOT. 😳
@@jessicasingh942 getting beat down sucks but, it can make you focus more and get better! You should have probably been an 8!! 😊
@@Amateur_Pool 😁 I appreciate the encouragement. What do you think is the hardest thing to do in pool?
Incorrect, we do not see the score correctly 😂
I know... I'm a dummy, lol. I still forgot to fix it! My bad
U never put the score 😂
I know... what an idiot!! Lol.. even after i noticed it during commentary, i still forgot to fix it! My bad! 🤣😂
Pretty embarrassing, on his part, to be a 3. Might have to take his male card away.
Bro... i made this channel to promote pool, not dog on people
Better than apa definitely
