If you've watched enough of our videos, you know there are some things dogs can learn the same as humans and some things they cannot. In this episode, we'll discuss a little bit of that difference.
Dogs and humans see the world differently and often have opposing agendas. What makes sense to dogs is a behavior a human would never allow, such as rummaging through the trash. When we train dogs, we want to focus on what we want them to do, rather than what we do not. We can't reason with a dog to explain why a certain behavior is "bad." Instead, we need to motivate them to make decisions we feel are "right."
