An inspirational speech., King Charles spoke from his heart and a knowledge of our commonwealth partners, he has visited most if not all of them during his many years as Prince of Wales.. Queen Elizabeth built this brotherhood and King Charles I’m sure will put his mark on it. I hope with all my heart that he will recover from the cancer and be able to carry on Serving his peoples as he wishes. Long live the King.

There are 56 countries in the Commonwealth. Membership is voluntary, not mandated. They make up 1/3rd of the world's population. There are some countries in the Commonwealth that were never British Colonies. So you are mistaken when you say they no longer want to be involved with Britain.
@maryoleary2037 you clearly do not understand the dynamics involved through Trade ransoming, subsidies and the like that virtually force most of these "Commonwealth" members into "volunteering". If you think they join out of some grand altruistic vision for solidarity amongst Men, you are very naive and ill informed to the World. Wake up
