- While getting a box from Biota is always big news, this week’s unboxing is particularly exciting. We haven’t been able to receive the iconic yellow tang since Hawaii shut down aquarium collection, but thanks to our friends at Biota we now have captive bred yellow tangs in stock! We’ve already got a waiting list going for these guys, so get your orders in now.
Also included in this order are some fun new nano gobies, and some beautiful invertebrates.
What should we get next? Let us know in the comments below
From dark to full blown daylight. Awesome
Yellow tang is on my list and Biola having them for $150 is amazing considering they're normally $300-$500. Super cute little fish. Gonna have to pick one up in a month or two
It's so fun to watch them grow and brighten up!
😁😁😁 I will be passing soon to hopefully see them at the store. Still need to choose may last fishes and add more coral.
Tough choice! The court jester gobies may be a good option for you!
How did the mandarins turnout?
I really want to try one from Biota
I just received my yellow tang from biota 2 days ago. He’s the same size as yours but mine is white. No hint of yellow at all. Think I got a defective tang?
I've been hearing about this a lot - apparently they're getting shipped out very young and translucent
Hi, I'm having a doubt regarding methylene blue. Does dosing methylene blue in main tank kills beneficial bacteria?
We don't use methylene blue much around here, but it can affect beneficial bacteria. It's better to have a separate quarantine tank to treat your fish when possible
I want to buy them.
Do they get the deep yellow though or do they stay see through
They should develop into solid yellow as they age
The box having a black garbage bag in it doesn't seem right considering all the pretty fish haha
If they're anything like us they couldn't bear to throw them away if they could reuse them!
