July 20, 2006 - Mets vs Reds

On getaway day, the Mets take on the Reds at Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati before a crowd of 28,729. In the rubber game of the series the Mets send Tom Glavine to the hill. Glavine pitches effectively, giving up 2 runs while scattering 9 hits over 6 1/3 innings. Endy Chavez plays hero once again, as he drives home the go ahead run in the 10th. Cliff Floyd and Carlos Delgado add homeruns for the Mets.

That Reds team in 2006 was a surprise contender. They were jostling near the top of the NL Central into September.
