  • On a rain-soaked night in Miami, the Mets take on the Marlins before an announced crowd of just 15,163.
    The Mets send Oliver Perez to the mound, who quickly gives up 4 runs in just 5 innings. The Mets claw their way back into the game with 3 hits apiece from Cliff Floyd, Paul LoDuca and David Wright. Carlos Delgado adds a big 3-run homer in the 8th.

    “It’s hard to be locked in all the time” carlos Delgado after the game which explains why they blew a 7 game lead with 17 to go shows the types of bad character guys they had

    Josh Johnson... he had great stuff and always pitched great against the Mets. Shame that injuries shortened his career.

    That was Delgado’s last homerun of the regular season
