They’re all horrid. Don’t forget Ming’s kung fu kick with studs up against Gakpo’s chest that looked like fresh krueger sliced his chest, and wasn’t shown even a yellow. Curtis maybe not so much but no one would argue a yellow if that was given instead, so in aggregate, it looks biased at best.

You forgot in that same 2-2 game with Tottenham where harry should ve been sent off, when the score was 2-1 to Liverpool, Jota got a chance to make it 3-1. Emerson Royal took Jota out from behind denying a goal scoring opportunity and didn't touch the ball. No penalty, no red card, emerson royal stays on the pitch and Robertson gets a red for kicking him. It's just one BS call after another. VAR was just a way for the league to script their games better.

What gets me is they say they couldn't bring it back and award a goal once the game had restarted again, but I remember a game at Brighton where the full time whistle had gone, but they brought it back to give Man United a penalty. The year we was going for the title and Luis Suarez was totally wiped out at Goodison park it was a disgraceful challenge and the player Miralles wasn’t sent off. He later admitted he deliberately targeted Suarez to try and injure him, we drew the game 3.3 and missed out on the title again by 2 points. The goal that Gerard scored against Stoke when we were top of the league, Gerrard scored a last minute free kick to make it 3.2 and the goal was ruled out and nobody knew why. The season that we were top of the league and the goalkeeper Westerveld was knocked over and Boro scored, it was a bad decision and result that cost us the title.

Jotas second yellow is no doubt deserved. The first yellow absolutely not. How can you give someone a card for another player tripping over his own legs? That's not how the rules work for giving cards. Jones is up for debate and most officials have come out and said that they don't consider it a red. The problem with decisions like this is that it can cost a team the entire league. As it happened when liverpool lost by 1 point twice. It's not about costing the game but to cost a team the league is beyond justifiable.

Something fishy has been going on with the way Liverpool games have been officiated for the last few years. You’ve highlighted the big ones, but in every match there is a double-standard to how our players are treated vs our opponents. Every 50-50 goes against us - Mo Salah gets nearly tackled when he’s protecting the ball and nothing is ever given, every phantom touch on an opponent is given as a foul against us, the list goes on.
It sickens me and I can barely watch any more. I believe it is corruption between the PL, PGMOL, and the UAE to benefit City. Yesterday was the evidence I needed - and that was before it came out that the 2 boneheaded VAR officials had just referred matches in the UAE.
We’re talking about the type of oil money that can bury assasinations of journalists, yet a few underpaid PL officials can’t be swayed?
At the very least, letting these officials do matches in the Middle East opens up speculation. They don’t seem to care. It’s corruption through and through.

Simon Hooper, the referee of the match between Tottenham and Liverpool, is the same referee who officiated the match that Liverpool lost to Manchester City, and Liverpool had not lost before that in a number of matches. It seems that he just wants to appear in the media against Liverpool. He issued six yellow cards to Liverpool players, in addition to two red cards to Curtis Jones and Diego Jota. He also canceled A goal for Liverpool, and we all remember his attack on Robertson at Anfield. Such a referee will ruin the greatest and strongest league that can be watched in the world. The FA should have the game replayed losing 3 points that way could wrongly damage liverpools season.

I can take the odd bad decision in a game, but Saturday against Spurs was one shockingly bad decision after the next. I can't ever recall a more one-sided refereeing performance in the PL. The two in the VAR box should not have had the still image of the Jones incident as the first thing the referee saw - that never happpens, so in my view they did it deliberately - 'Leave that image on the screen Darren, he'll change his decision for sure'. Then the offside disgrace which speaks for itself - they knowingly denied Liverpool a goal - their statement afetrwards confirms that but they've tried to sugarcoat it to make it seem less deliberate. VAR couldn't intervene with the Jota incident but that was also a ridiculous dismissal as the first Spurs player brushes Jota's knee - not his fault - and the second player dived thinking contact was coming - it didn't.
I believe the VAR team did everything they could to hand that game to Spurs - there was just too many dodgy calls otherwise. Why? I don't know, but I could speculate!

I am a supporter of Manchester United, but I like to see fair play, All teams have bad VAR decisions going against and sometimes for them. But I have to agree that anyone who thought that the Liverpool goal was offside needs to be shifted out of having anything to do with vision, because they are obviously blind. It was a totally legal goal

When the owners prove they’re already willing to do whatever it takes to win, even by breaking rules, how can we not ignore all the signs pointing to referees letting some decisions go the other way to help push a game a certain way so that a certain team drops points and another doesn’t in a separate game.
