I think it's important 4 people not to mask the pain! Sometimes people don't heal because they pretend like they're not hurt. The truth of the matter is you love this person, you have memories with this person, a lot of times your families are intertwined. You don't want to see your best friend with someone else and it's not that easy to let go! Most of all you hope that they come back, and sometimes you wait and it hurts until one day it just doesn't!

I was literally buying stuff, texting him, calling him, told him he was everything for me. he met my family, my family supported us. He told me he was going to marry me and then he was sick and broke up with me and i didnt know he was going to do that to be honest. he broke up with me two days after christmas . I am still hurting he told me to leave him a lone and i pleading so much he said he would do a legal order, so then I stopped contacted him and still trying to heal from this

I’m in a very similar boat. Mine didn’t officially propose or break up. Just when I expected him to propose, he ghosted me two days before Christmas. A month later all he really said was that his personal life was, “broken in many ways.” I still don’t know what that means but it seems to matter to me a little bit less each day.

The no contact tatic is really for the one who normally the dumpee as it tricks them into being OK with out the dumper....... As in the dumpee does it because they think its winning the dumper back but after so long being used to not contacting the dumper they find other things to do instead of obsessing on the dumper and by the time they are past the "30" day time frame or when the dumper does reach out (if no children involved it's rare they do reach out) the dumpee is over it anyway....... Its great technique but none of the channels actually tell the viewers this as they could in 1 clip, but then their channel can't keep bringing in the revenues these channels do it for...... Yes it helps people but the channel creators don't really care and only do it for self gain and no easier target then a heart broken vulnerable person that will try anything to ease their pain........ Not hating the channels and this channel ain't bad at all and that's why I've kept subbed as this guy is great compared to the rest...... But no contact is for you and will help the one dumped in the long run as I say you find it easier to get on with your life even to start with its under false promise but the ones heart broken won't listen if they knew the true reason....... I don't know your situation as to why you're here but I wish you the best in life and you will be glad one day you didn't get back the one who didn't value you, as by then you find someone better suited or happy with life even if you are single
@@daveyber3564 when I say no contact to be more specific I think it appropriate depending on the kind of relationship you had with a person, like if the person is a narcissist etc I think to protect your peace going through the stages of starting over, as I said to establish boundaries to protect your well being you gotta put yourself first. Not everyone relationship needs to go no contact but it depends if it was toxic etc.
I was the one dumped. But i had to delete him even from social media. It was entirely too tempting to check in on him. I needed the space. He was going to my stories and even liking my stuff. Made things confusing.

It's only been not even a month for me I'm going to say almost a month and I already feel a lot better when you learn who you are put all your energy into yourself after a breakup the best thing to do
Some relationships were too toxic most of the time and no contact may not work .....some were never real relationships, some were too short lived so the bond was never strong

My wife of 18 years left about 8 months ago and is already getting her back blown out by an ex. I told her I would take her back, gave her money when she needed it, listened to her complain about her life in hopes she would open her eyes and come home but that shit ain’t happening. I can’t go a few hours without remembering the past 18 years. I don’t know if this advice will work to get her back but either way I need to stop being there for her because it’s helping her and hurting me.

I like how you say the aim is to increase your value higher than it was even at the start. I needed to hear that. Just got dumped by a girl I loved so much but recognised so much disrespect over the last year and we argued a lot. Like you say the goal is not to go back to that, but to either get her back and be in s better place or just move on and be in a better place. Both scenarios is about increasing your value higher than it's even been. Even then she might not come back but I hope to value myself for me more.

I work with at the same job as my ex. It’s a big work area so we aren’t together but at the end of the day, she is in area when talking with friends. I went through a phase of sadness, anger, realization of her wrong actions and how I deserve better and a bit of numbness. It’s been 8 months. I’m tired of being extremely avoidant. I feel at this point it’s unnecessary. My anger has extremely dimmed knowing I don’t want anything to do with her physically or emotionally. Would it be bad to try and be comfortable in a “forgiving” mindset so I can socialize with the groups at work properly regardless of her presence and acknowledgement?
Day 1 of trying NC. I miss him a lot, although he started using dating app and say " ready for a relationship", i was still begged for him to stay, called him many times but he ignored me that's stupid i know, but i couldn't help myself. I need a different out look on my situation besides mine , a girl I slept with had a kid and she told me it’s mine , I moved to a different state when she had the kid . I got a 2 home dna test kit and she used the mouth swap on herself instead of the child(the dna people said the child was a girl and she had a boy) . During her pregnancy I told her to abort it and that I didn’t want to be w her we’d be only coparenting so idk if she salty or what . Should I try to get the paternity issue solved or just leave it alone an hope it works out itself ? I haven’t contacted her since I got the results

I’ve been the only one trying to make it work last one year. It got worse last 3 months. I went extremely low, begged, pleaded, it’s a LDR. N he on the other side of the screen, either zone out or totally brush my emotions away. If I said, I will break up and will block him, he was like ok, block n go! Done it before but I ended up begging him. He is so confident that I love him more, he means a lot for me, n I will go back to him begging. But this time I really don’t want to unblock him. I distanced myself after my ex broke up with me. After about two weeks she text me. I kept the conversation brief and noticed she always reached out to me first, always telling me what she is up to etc. I then fell and started to contact her a lot. I now deleted her number and trying my hardest to focus on myself. It hurts a lot and some days I just think what is the point. Other days I am able to plough through.
