Two quick responses to feedback I'm hearing:
Some folks are having a hard time seeing the video. Unfortunately the game is naturally dark and did my best to bump the contrast and brightness on my end. All the footage is visible with brighter devices. Sorry to anyone who use darker settings.
There was a few people felt that i was disregarding new viewers in the outro because of what i said before my nomination. What I meant when I said that was I figured new viewers who don't know me or boundary break wouldn't want to hear me asking them if they would like to vote for me. The gesture was meant to respect you as someone getting to know me. Not push you aside or think I don't appreciate yall. The complete opposite would be true!

Except the save rooms he can enter in all the freaking places,and the most annoying part is that when you meet him and escape somewhere supposedly not seeing you or go away he lurks around the area without leaving at all! To tell you the truth they overdid it with him a little,yesterday he broke my nerves so i blasted his ugly face with my gun stunning him! I said enough running from you you big ugly bloat! XD

It's just amazing just how many hidden animation scenes this game has.
@KeoneArt If you want to know what's in the video, there's really cool thing you can do. It's called, "watching the video". I know it sounds crazy, but try it. Works pretty well.

There was still no reason to put them in the game when you'd never see them (The chief Iron's behind the door could have easily been done with textures or lighting) But for whatever reason they chose to do a full animation of him being creepy behind the door. Doesn't matter if it was motion captured or not. Go be an asshole somewhere else.

I love it when stuff manages to sneak into the game even when not visible during typical gameplay. The secret orphanage is an amazing find, but I'm happy the video also confirmed what I thought I noticed once during an odd bit of gameplay - the Tyrant is fully rendered and stalking the station even when not in the player's immediate vicinity.
@KeoneArt Good point - I didn't mean to imply that they were intentionally included as secrets, just that they were present in the final game but not intended to be seen (whether through being left in form earlier stages of development or on the off-chance that a player sees an event from an unexpected angle). Boundary Break is great at covering this content. Poor choice of words on my part.
How about Dead Space? I'd love to know how the Necromorphs look while they're sneaking around

Yeah, I'd like to know if Isaac actually gets plated up in the suit booth... I mean, it's unlikely, but the first Dead Space was a proper labour of love, so maybe there's a proper Iron Man style animation that got cut from the full game.

@grim reaper : You need to think outside of the box dude (even literally sometimes). You don't have to make a tentacle, you have to make something that make people think it's a tentacle. It is the same idea for a lot of animations.
One of the cool things that wasn’t mentioned in this episode is whenever the player model is on an elevator, all physics are frozen, but if you switch skins, its re activated and the player models behave very strangely
I literally finished Claire's scenario about 30 mins ago and sat thinking watching sherry go through the vent "I hope boundary break cover this soon" so I can see what happens .. a boom, first video suggested when I open CZcams .. pure gold

@@kinowa4381 He is referred to as Mr.X in the older game, Tyrant is the TYPE of G mutant he is. Nemesis is a rendition of a tyrant, and another tyrant was also the final boss of a different resident evil.
Tyrant was also a boss in Resident Evil Outbreak. It seems that the modern game ditched the name, but ppl still call him Mr.X
@@quanta7167 nope. In 1998 game he was still called Tyrant. Can you tell us why does all my friends(Asians) and all the player that played RE2 calls him Tyrant? Because Mr. X is just what fans "name" for him. There are no known Mr. X only fans call him that more on West.
Do a boundary Re-Break series where you revisit old games that have been remastered or remade and compare the old version to the new one.

The thing that blows my mind the most is that all the cutscenes are in game. I would have sworn they were pre-rendered because of how amazing the lighting is and such during them, but this absolutely blows me away. Also the back of birkin's final form really made me happy. I went to college for game development myself and we'd often end up using thinks that felt like a hack or a cheat to get a desired effect, and to see it in a big budget game just made me smile with glee. Like "oh oh they're doing the type of stuff we learned, it's the real deal man!!"

He is actually above you. If you look up into the homes you can see him moving around up there. You can predict where he’ll go next by looking through the holes at him

You can tell by the name that this was originally Japanese, they get biohazard which makes sense, then the jump across the world loses it’s cool name and becomes “resident evil” just doesn’t do it as well.

The beta orphanage's room being empty can probably be explained with a possibility that it _was_ supposed to be cramped with props for the chase and hide sequence, but it was scratched for the newer orphanage before it was furnished (similar to the fact that a lot of the surfaces are untextured).

makes sense when you think about it,knowing the fact that his footstep sounds correctly correspond to his position and that the player can switch rooms very quickly the game may not always have the time to spawn him in the correct location, it also helps making random encounters with him feel more organic BTW if you happen to find him scary,there's a mod that changes his theme to DMX's X gonna give it to ya and I absolutely love it but I recommend you apply it on your second playthrough
I'd like to see Eternal Darkness get Boundary Broke. I remember it was an option back when you did polls, but I hadn't finished the game back then so I voted for the other contender. Now that I've finished it (several times over), I'd like to see what's going on behind the scenes.

He often shows developer secrets, lost levels and tricks to make their games work in the way they are.
I thought it was obvious that Mr X was actually walking around the station because... well you see and hear him walking around the station. I don't know what you're implying here; did you think his footsteps were just a random sound effect, or did you think he was only a sound effect until he busts open the door and finds you etc?
he means that unlike most games that deload models that are far from the player, Mr. X is ALWAYS roaming even when you're not even in the police station
A lot of games actually just play the sounds rather than moving the models around, since it means you don't need to worry about the model clipping into walls etc (wasting effort for stuff the player wouldn't be able to see anyway), for instance the Alien Isolation BB episode shows this off in action.

A theory on the doppel-orphanage. In the notes, they talk about transferring the children to another orphanage while they try to contain the incident. Perhaps at one point this was the mentioned orphanage and we were to go over there for additional story?
Knowing the game wasn't even going to be finished in time and the devs were in development hell, i don't think they'd add more zones to the shit show and focus on saving their product first.

Factually, RE2 is a good game in the end. But how campaigns and scenarios work is not only cheap but also disfunctional. Given the fact they had 4 years of development they should have given both figures separat routes in a way that each campaign actually represesents one half of a coherent overall game.
