  • King Air 250 Single Pilot Flight From Wichita, KS(KICT) to Miami, FL(KTMB) on March 20, 2020. This was a New Aircraft Delivery Flight for a customer in South Florida. There was a line of weather on the route down to Florida and was greeted with very gusty winds on arrival in South Florida. Enjoy.

    This is probably going to come across as an ignorant question from a non-pilot. But when you're in straight-and-level flight like that at 33k feet, autopilot doing its thing, can you get up and go back to use the head as a solo pilot? If not - how is the issue addressed? Depends? (As in, the adult diaper - not as in, "it depends".)

    • @tallyho4483
      @tallyho4483  Před 2 lety

      Not an ignorant question at all! The pilot can not leave the seat when they are at the controls, so if you are single pilot, you are stuck there. There is always the Gatorade bottle or little bags called porta-johns that can be used. I have not had to worry about this yet, I make sure not to drink very much the night before and nothing in the morning. Usually 4 hours is not a big deal. If I have another pilot with me it doesn’t really matter.

      @tallyho4483  Před rokem +1

      Hey Rob! Thank you! Congrats on the job offer! I believe you should be just fine being you already have 85 hours and you’ve already gone through training at Flight Safety. The 200 and the 350 are very similar, so you shouldn’t have much of an adjustment. I was actually an instructor at Flight Safety Wichita in the 350 program several years ago, so I’ve seen many people make that transition. Just remember going to single pilot from the Crew environment is a hard transition. But you already know the ins and outs of the airplane. It’s the decision making process and the flow and checklist usage that gets most people. It’s going to be new, so follow the profiles and callouts exactly in your Pilot Training Guide. Study those just as much as the Required Knowledge Areas, if not more, and you’ll be fine!

    Hy , can i pilote the king air with ppl licence ? Just the ppl licence

      @rnordquest Před 3 lety

      Yes but you would need a multi engine rating and you would be limited to 18000ft in VFR conditions. This only really applies if you own the plane outright. If you want someone to insure you you’ll also need an IFR rating and maybe a type rating as well.
