Did you try haggis while you were in Scotland? I was very lucky when I got to Fort William. Someone had just cancelled their seats on the train, so I got on it!

If you were into seeing Harry Potter sites the one place that would be good is Oxford. The colleges in the town provided many shooting sites. As far as Whiskey goes Scotland is nice but in Ireland there is some smoother varieties like Jameson, Bushmills and Tullamore Dew.
I think it’s more of a acquired taste… 😂😂
When people over there criticize your pronunciation of place names you should have a few index cards with place names in Michigan like Ypsilanti or Cheboygan and see if they can correctly pronounce them!!!
Haha no kidding!!! It’s not easy traveling new places and trying to always pronounce the names correctly when you’re not from there 🥲
Most Scots add water to their whiskey and wouldn’t dream of drinking it straight.
