Jits is a 1999 Peugeot Boxer Autosleeper 'Symphony'. Jits belonged to Adam's mum, Sally, who sadly passed away in Jan 2019 from ovarian cancer. During this time, we were reminded how life is too short and felt inspired to take the plunge & pursue our dream of full-time van life.

Love the Vlog....as a native in Scotland, I find it funny how everyone complains about the Scottish weather (4 season in a day, even in summer), but it is unique just like the people, landscape, history & food...glad you had fun in our little part of heaven.....😄
My parents visit twice a year and call me with regular weather up dates and sends me videos one minute they will tell me they are going out sea kayaking because the weather is mild then it will be a change of plan because the wind has picked up and they will be flying kites 🤣
the purpose of the MBA bothies isnt to encourage people to go outside, rather, they are put in remote areas in the event people get lost/ stranded in bad weather and need refuge when unable to put up a tent. Hence why they are very basic inside, you'll often find on a particularly bad day there will be other walkers etc inside and sometimes you may be treated to a scottish jam session in one. I am from scotland so i've been in plenty of these :)
Sometimes I forget that it’s just you two taking all these amazing shots. The production and story-telling are just always on point. But somehow, it still feels very personal and almost intimate. Thank you for always bringing us to different wonders of the world in your corner of the internet ❤️

Hello from Canada!!!. I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking me along with you on all of your adventures. I am I my 60's and due to health issues I cannot travel. But everytime you guys are on an adventure you naturally seem to bring all of us with you. Your filming and commentaries for all the places you go are exciting and you are so natural and so friendly that you make me feel like a friend who is traveling with you. I just felt I had to reach our to you and wish you safe travels wherever you go. You guys are amazing and truly deserving of everything that has come your way. 'The worst day in Scotland is better than the best day anywhere else'. - Me 🤗 I was there during an August for the Fringe, the Tattoo and few days in the HIghlands. I would literally take pictures walking into a spot in Glencoe, and then take another set on the way out because the weather had changed and it was a completely different set of photos! 🤣🤣 Best trip of my life. 💙🩵💙
When in Scotland take an umbrella and expect rain, sunshine is a rare bonus.

I have just met you on the Newbies and followed you right here. My husband's last name is Preble and there are a lot of them in Scotland as well as in the US, where we are. I think that there is even a Preble, Scotland, or a river.. I listened with sadness about your mom and your loss of her to cancer. Presently I mentor lung cancer patients for Mayo Clinic Connect, an online tributary of Mayo Clinic where patients support and help other patients online. I am a 24+ yr. lung cancer survivor and know well how draining and awful cancer is for family members.
This entire video has an ethereal intimacy to me. You get as close as possible as the Puffins allow and the space between is the sky and sounds of the earth and sea. Quite incredible that you caught this. And with squeals of such innocent discoveries, it simply is amazing. Thank you.

Have you tried your fuel cut off valve? Sometimes susceptible to an intermittent electrical fault. We also had an intermittent fault caused by crud getting pulled into the diesel filter. Would run fine, would idle fine, and then all of a sudden would stall when pulling up to a junction. Was then a real challenge to get started again. Super simple and quick thing to change to eliminate that from further investigation!

Hi! We've been watching for a while but I don't think we've commented. Loved seeing Scotland - it's one of our favorite places. There are shelters along the Appalachian Train in the US. Some are free - and some have a small fee.

Giant's Causeway is built of similar basalt columns. So interesting to see cave walls formed of them too.

I once heard something about grief that really seems to be true… grief is like a heavy backpack, it doesn’t get any lighter, you just get better at carrying it. I think that’s a really good analogy because over time I don’t miss mum any less, I just get better and making my thoughts about her positive ones. I hope this makes sense to you? Seeing puffins is top of my list for whenever we travel to Scotland! Not even a bird watcher but they have always looked so adorable.

Hi guys! Thank you for the beautiful video! Adam, I am so sorry about your mother. And I agree absolutely that being open about experiencing the grief really helps to move forward and get over it in time. I lost my mum to cancer when I was 17 and for over 15 years thereafter I was denying my sorrow and grief which actually made me suffer even more until I found a good therapist who helped me to face the loss and eventually accept it. I wish you lots of strength and kindness.

What a beautiful trip, the scenery and the way it was filmed, was stunning! That cave was mind blowingly gorgeous, being there in person must have been incredible! I loved the footage of the puffins and the fuzzy little caterpillar climbing the mountain, so cute! 😍
We have tramping huts in Aotearoa (New Zealand), but not free and a lot of them look very similar to the Bothy.

Many people underestimate the importance of seeking help for, and taking care of, their mental health. I have been to Scotland and Glencoe, but not Staffa or Mull. The massacre at Glencoe is such a sad story. That Yew tree is awesome! And I did know what a Bothy is/was, but I have never seen or been to one. Another thing to do when I get back to Scotland one day.

Hugs Adam! I lost Dad a good few years ago now and I know how tough it is. Time doesn't heal as such but it does teach you to have a good tool kit to help with missing someone. My car use to break down. In the end it was masking tape in the fuel tank that would float up and cut power. Once it floated down it would work!

Started watching your videos because I have an autosleeper Harmony, and carried on because I enjoy the content so much! I haven't had engine problems (mine is a diesel) but have been regularly blowing fuses and last trip out hit something in the road that knocked the pipe out of my fresh water tank. So empathise with issues re older vans.

Oh my goodness. I follow on Instagram and knew you had done the Pap etc but I finally had time to watch this afternoon and as you went to Mull my heart was with you. My husband (who died in 2019) and I loved it there and on Iona. My heart raced and tightened and the tears flowed (something that is happening less) then your sponsor ‘bit’ came on.
