Lyrics:
The changing of sunlight to moonlight
Reflections of my life
Oh how they fill my eyes
[Repeat: x 2]
The greetings of people in trouble
Reflections of my life
Oh how they fill my eyes
[Chorus]
Oh my sorrows
Sad tomorrows
Take me back to my own home
[Chorus: x 2]
Oh my crying (Oh my crying)
Feel I'm dying, dying
Take me back
to my own home
The changing of sunlight to moonlight
Reflections of my life
Oh how they fill my eyes
I'm changing, arranging,
I'm changing,
I'm changing everything
Everything around me
The changing of sunlight to moonlight
Reflections of my life
Oh how they fill my eyes
The world is
a bad place
A bad place
A terrible place to live
Oh but I don't want to die ...
[Chorus: x 2] - Hudba

Hermoso homenaje a Dean Ford
😪😪
It gets me every time. I am 64, the 70's when musicians really were and singers really sang. Timeless, beautiful song.
Lynda Painter me too, where has the time gone?
I was only 10 but I loved music! My sisters were older by 12 and 9 years older than me, I was the baby! You know how many times i heard that in life. But I use to play their 45’s so I know them songs from the late 60’s 70’s and 80’s . I love all music
It's truly one of the best songs ever
Me too. 64 and still love this.
One of the greatest songs ever
This was Marmalade's masterpiece, a true classic they will always be remembered for. Their live performances of this song always did justice to the studio version.
One of the most sweeping, emotional, powerful rock ballads ever... awesome writing and performing....love The Marmalade !
Though no major hits, Dean Ford has been actively singing and recording since the 70's. Check this one out: czcams.com/video/QQtat8hn-18/video.html
Listening now.... really beautiful!
This is the last song my brother, and I enjoyed together, before He passed away.❤😢
At 58 I've been listening to this song for 53 years could not be better music
I'm 69 and yes still love this band...andthis song...😎👍❤
Beautiful lyrics and composition. I’m 75 now and remember when this first came out. The oldies are my besties!
I'm 73 and it's still a favorite in 2024.❤
I love this song....I listen to it over and over again......RIP Dean Ford
Me too
Its hard to believe how a couple of guys in their early 20s could write a song with this level of pathos.
Totally
Absolutely one of the best live videos of any hit song I have ever seen or heard. Those guys were so talented. Live, No studio stuff. Not many bands could perform live and sound that good. I love it!. Julia M.
What a great find...Reflections of My Life.... so happy to be a child of the 70's
So nice to hear the amazing voice of Dean Ford that never faded throughout his life.
R. I. P. Dean Ford!
The world is a bad place, a terrible place to live, yet was born in 1971 - and nowadays, people reflect at 1971 as the gold ol days/daze...great song, always loved it, RIP Dean
We had the BEST music of any generation and that cannot be taken away from us. No other generation will feel what we had-you had to "live it"
omg I can never get tired of this wonderful song
Best live version of this hauntingly beautiful song
this song always hits me ,when i am alone with my thoughts
Me too! Out of nowhere I am on day 2 of playing it over and over…so beautiful…so timeless
I was only 10 when this beauty came out over the airwaves 🥰 still moves me today, lovely harmonies and haunting lead guitar

Great song! Dean Ford was amazing singer!
Rest In Peace Dean...
This kinda music will never ever come around again for us people.if any of you guys missed being around in the 60's or 70's to enjoy this music when it was brand new I am really sorry about that...I really am.
Man this video is 12 yrs old. First time I’ve seen it. I was 16 the first time I heard this song on the radio and it brought me to tears. I’m 69 now and this song STILL moves me to tears. I didn’t even know Dean Ford had passed away until about 4 yrs ago. As a teen Marmalade was one of my fav bands. Dean Ford just had one of those voices that reached down deep inside you and touched you where you lived. RIP Dean and thanks for the many awesome memories.
bamadad53: Actually the video is 52 years old, but 12 years here on youtube. Dean Ford was an awesome singer, and this was one of my favorite songs of the entire 60's/70's era!
@@60s70sVintageRock lol well yeah I actually meant “12 yrs old” on youtube. Sure wish we would have had youtube 52 yrs ago. Now that woulda been awesome. My library of saved videos would be full of Dean and Marmalade. I can’t get enough of Marmalade’s music and Dean’s vocals. Thanks for your feedback.
I truly love this song!,, I wish I could be in that era, so I could it met them!
I long for the 70's and childhood so much. If we get to go back to where we were happiest after we die, that decade was the best. Best cars, music, I wasn't fat, had all my hair...
Best hair on men too!
You said it brother..
Yeah, they were good times. Still skinny and got all my hair.
The later version with Dean Ford (Thomas McAleese) and Joe Tansin was beyond outstanding. With the cello in the background, how can one not shed a tear over this song.
I agree, it's very poignant. If you haven't already seen it, it's on CZcams.
Agree! Dean did a couple versions. His voice, if anything, got better.
this song is still relevant 50 yrs later. Thanks for the momories
It is tragically poetic that Dean would be singing and recording the same lovely song a few days before he passed.
"Oh my crying " This song is so soulful. I'm crying right now. Such a beautiful voice...RIP my friend .
Played with Marmalade several times, fantastic band, beautiful harmonies and lead vocal, note Junior left handed Strat upside down , stings upside down and what a solo!!! RIP Dean.
The memories are endless
Ok gonna use as an excuse due to my being 76 I'd forgotten this group. So very pleased to have found them again....especially this song! Beautiful vocals, just great song.
Returning nightly to hear this song again & again. It just fills my heart with memories of my own life.
The world is a bad place, a bad place, a terrible place to live.....But such a beautiful song!!
What an excellent performance, Dean Ford interprets it with great feeling. RIP Master.
so simple yet so beautiful
This is a great recording. You can hear all the layers of vocals so well and it showcases what a beautiful singing voice Dean Ford had. There's no autotune or backing track like so many bands rely on now, this is 100% real talent.
Really love this song! Melancholy and melodic!
Awesome song! Great voice Ford..your iconic!!!!!
Reflections of my life. What beautiful, yet sad lyrics. I want to go back to my early life... to see those in my life who have gone on. I miss them. I want to go back and redo my life and make changes for the better... better choices. Oh, if only we could. Beautiful song... yet so sad. Hits me to the core.
same here.
Wow, this was really live, hard version to find.👍
undoubtedly one of the greatest songs ever made!
Best song they ever put out, apart from a number of other excellent songs.

I'm 61yrs old and I still feel this is the greatest song ever written and played. Thank You Dean and the other Marmalades.
James Dawes agreed
A truly beautifully melancholic song......not made anymore...do we not feel anymore?

What a classic classic emotional beautiful song!!!
Dean Ford - you''ve uplifted millions of needy hearts & souls ... worldwide!
Many years ago my sons and I went with my father to Government House to receive his OAM. While we were sitting and waiting for my father’s name to be called, they announced the next recipient… William Richard Thorpe, for services to Australian Music. It was a posthumous award and was accepted by his wife. So very sad he was not there to receive it himself. The accolades came a little too late.
One of most Epic and Powerful Ballads ever written. Dean Ford and Junior Campbell were indeed outstanding artists. Such an Awesome song...
Reflections of my life, la escuche a los doce años por primera, ahora 67 la sigo escuchando
His voice lives in my head.
We are immortal, at least in song.
Music unites us.
Peace

Over of the most overlooked songs and bands of its era. Beautifully orchestrated here. I still wonder if they were right: The world is a bad place/ A terrible place ...

Dean Ford, a tiny man and as thin as a rail, the wonder was he stayed upright in a breeze, AND THEN that wonderful voice that poured forth from him was incredible. Gone too soon. RIP Tommy

A Fabulous song! 🎶
We are all dying I wish to meet a person who will make me want to live! Is there Hope? 🤔
There is always hope! God bless
There is such a person; it is the person of Jesus Christ. Jesus is life itself. "Christ in you the hope of glory."
Sim,veja a promessa do único Deus verdadeiro em Isaías 25:8 e ele não pode mentir, diz Tito1:2.
Those who belong to Jesus have eternal life. You must be born again. He's coming soon for His church. Today is the day for salvation.
Dean Ford is truly remarkable. Make certain you view his 2014 rendition of this historic song!
I have done
This footage reminds me of a time when things were simpler and it always makes me farklemt. It's a real downer, but was sung so beautifully that you need to listen to the lyrics to really get what he's singing about. What a voice he had!
Beautiful melody and prolific lyrics soulfully sung great song my new favorite
Great songs always vividly remind people of specific events or times in their lives.
