"Reflections of My Life" was a 1969/1970 hit single for the Scottish band, Marmalade. It was written by their lead guitarist Junior Campbell, and singer Dean Ford (born Thomas McAleese). Released in late 1969, it was the band's first release on Decca following an earlier spell at CBS.
The song went on to chart worldwide, reaching number three in the UK in 1969, number 10 in the US in 1970 on the Billboard Hot 100, and number seven on the Cash Box Top 100. Initial sales were significant in both countries, and the one million mark was reported in November 1971, when the group was presented with a gold disc for global sales. The track featured a lead vocal by Ford backed by vocal harmonies, and included a reverse tape guitar solo (backmasking) by Campbell.
"Reflections of My Life" has produced sales of over two million units. In 1998 the writers were awarded a Special Citation of Achievement by the BMI for attaining radio broadcast performances in excess of one million in the US alone.

When life was easy and Love was limitless we had more acceptance and less judgemental attitudes... So glad I was born in the sixties..
Young punk
back then, it was a better time. I was there and now I"m 76 and life sucks.
yep
Well brother, I'm 67 and I go ride my Goldwing cross country, try it you'll love it, life does not have to suck, happy trails
I absolutely love this song, it's been 53 years or so and i love it as much as i did in 1969/1970. Great music with meaning. I'm much older now and do a lot of reflecting on my life.
Totally with you on this! If God had a favourite track it would be this one! 😀
True That!
Enjoy, our following generations just will never know what we had. Taking another angle listen to Merle Haggard Okie from Muskogee it wasn’t all roses.

Klasse Song
I remember this song but not the band. 😥
Thank you again, Sammy.
My pleasure John.
Awesome song Sammy! Thanks! 👍👍
Thanks Chris.
This high quality production/reproduction (THANK you) caused me to really scrutinize the performance. The melodies and harmonies have hypnotized me for 50 years, yet beyond that and the compelling notes, there's a tremendous bass performance here. The drumming is perfect. A perfect neither overstated nor understated lead guitar, and right off the the bat the rhythm guitar establishes the fundamental beat of the song. What a tremendous arrangement as well as performance. (Now arrrggh if you tell me it's really Tommy Tedesco and Wrecking Crew?? I hope I'm kidding!)
❤❤❤❤❤
Excellent syncing of the stereo to HQ video Sammy.
Many thanks Jacob.
I want back but i cant 😢
THATS MUSIC ONLY MUSIC
Nice logo on the drum
Thanks Sammy. I have the French single of this song. It sounds very much like The Beatles...
I would like to hear that version, Paul.
Listen to this and the crap that's.out now... NO comparison
There is a distinctly different and unedited version of this same performance which features an alternate (and more classy) ending. Junior Campell played acoustic guitar alll the way through and skipped the solo, apparently to make it shorter. The harmonies sound much better is some parts. Search for the version by SeaOvJapan.

They were always dubbed in, even on the original 1969 LP.
