Thank you for this video. I’ve used blood sugar meters before and thought I knew what I was doing but kept screwing it up. Watched this video and now I understand what I was doing wrong. Thank you so much, you have a friend in Columbus Ohio!
Same here. I just got this little machine and the instructions were not helpful at all. I found your video and now it makes sense. All the way from Melbourne, Australia Thank you so much!
Thank you for doing this! First-time user/operator here- this was super easy to understand. Especially since I came in w/o knowing a single thing about any of it! Typically I pick these little devices up,(along w/anything else that may be needed, or can be used) whenever I come across them for cheap, so I can donate them to older folks who may need them. For whatever reason, I still had this one, so since I passed out briefly, and had sorta had been warned about checking my levels... Anyhow, this is the best way I learn; watching and listening. ...so much easier, as opposed to any ‘quick guide’. This probably saved me about 45 minutes! Thank you again- You’re the greatest!!! Btw- ultimately, I couldn’t even take a reading anyhow because it didn’t come w/any test strips, and I obviously didn’t have any. I thought “kit” meant that it included everything- even if only a few strips?! Thanks again, again!!!!
Nice video, I use Freestyle Libre 14days glucose sensor with NightRider! It's so good because 1) It shows if your sugars are trending up or down. 2) Give alarms if you go too low or too high. It is an amazing tool.
@@PharmacistTipsdid it come with batteries sorry I am just curious cause I want to get it I am not diabetic but have been experiencing symptoms so I want to check for myself
I got it since I got diabetes 2 couple years ago. Now, Is giving me funny readings. Fasting was 8, 2 nights ago after supper, no carbs was 10 ! Last night, no carbs at all(after meal) was 14.7, then re-test in 5 seconds was 15. I'm still alive!!! How to reset it or I should replace it?
Is there a way to make the device display its results using metric, e.g. mmol/L for the reading and YYYY/MM/DD for the date? What kind of batteries does the device use?
I have an older meter, it has a M, on the side, have not used it in a long time but it keeps saying E2 and showing an old reading from years ago. The M button does not give any menu, and blood on stick just keeps showing E2 or L1. Is it broken or am I doing something wrong? thank you for any help. the up/downs do not do anything.
@@ladybethisrael0792 E4 means it's not working, call them. We now use the meter attached to arm, it's so much more convenient. I was on the phone with them last year for E4 situation too.
It's recommended to use just once for each test . It costs $ 10 dollars for a box of 100 so it is 10 cents for 1 needle. So if you test 4 times a day , it will cost you 40 cents per day .
It says not to, because they would have bacteria but it seems some people would clean them with alcohol. It also said they would be dull and make a more sore area afterwards. I can understand some people wanting to save money.
I wish the video was made AFTER learning how to handle (remove) the (...) etc. so that don't have to watch the guy struggle handling the (...). And shouldn't the (cylinder shaped thing) and the (strips?) be handled with sterile gloves rather than fingers? Shouldn't we wash our hands with soap before handling? Clean the finger with alcohol cotton ball perhaps? Test strip thrown in with the device is sterile to do? Can the test strip be reused? Here he goes again, struggling to remove (...) for a long time. Really good advert for the manufacturer of this (...). And the (...) really have no names? I was provided 6 "lancet devices" (colourful plastic things) and am expected to test my B/G several times per day for a month or longer... Interesting... Since it can not be reused (or can it). Really seems like Masters Degree or becoming a scientist at managing D2. And this is only a small part of the daily routine to watch, calculate and weigh what you're eating, injecting insulin, testing B/G etc. and in addition to all that one must also make a living (almost forgot that one). That's why so many I suspect choose just ignore it and live less but without worry.
This video is still good for setting up the electronic device before using it. For using it there is a much better video: czcams.com/video/MvQjyF5XzWA/video.html

When you buy new strips do you have to change any thing? Check serial numbers etc?

Good job
Hey there good morning I put the strip in but I can't get the needle to pop up
Very good video.
My read out has 3 apple icons on it . One with a line through it, one solid colour and one apple core. I don’t know what they mean

What kind of batteries does the device use?
the units are hardcoded based on where you buy the meter and the date can be changed
Can this one be used with Bluetooth?

I also wish that they would explain those E showings. The one I am using for someone says E4..

How to remove used batteries
How do you delete old readings ?
Can we use middle twice or more for same person?

if you do not use test control solution ...... then you have no idea if the meter is correct or how far off it is.................
Where is the battery sign?
Can we use the needle more than one time?
Why would you?

No, it does not.
