So who is winning EUROVISION 2024?
Probably depends on how much jury votes croatia will get,if they won't get enough it will probably be switzerland or italy. I thought that Ukraine could do a second Jamala, but the song seems too boring because they repeat the chorus for 2,5minutes.Also, France will do very well in the jury but they will get destroyed in the televote. Again, for me italy or switzerland.We already know that italy got producer's choice so they are definetly going to the second half but switzerland, who knows! They could be unlucky and get first half, but let's see. Also, their staging are great, just worried for switzerland's outfit

I totally agree on all the songs you mentioned, it's going to be one of those. Personally I want Croatia, France or Italy to win. If I'm honest I'm just not feeling Ukraine, it makes me a little distressed when I hear it but the staging is fabulous.
Same. Agree with you fully. I just can’t get behind Ukraine’s song this year. I like that part that they showed from the rehearsal but the rest of the song does nothing for me and the rap part I really can’t stand. Also, the message with Virgin Mary and Mother Theresa as role models is really something I can’t get behind. I want Croatia to win because it’s a great chance for the first time winning and I wouldn’t mind if either Italy or France win
Despite being French and really liking Slimane's entry, I am not very confident. I am not even sure that the jury will be vote so much for France. Sure, it's typically French... but there are so many entries that are more original this year.
Since it's very open this year, if I have to pick only one... I hope that the winner will be Croatia... a country that hasn't won in many years.
But in any case, we will have three great shows this week!!
I like Slimane, but last year France was my absolute favourite and still don't get how Évidemment ended up just 16th 😕 that song was SO good for me, it definitely had French flair without being too traditional. Hopefully France will get more recognition this year! Good luck from Italy! 😊
You are right about The Netherlands, I don't really vibe with it, I think because of my Mediterranean culture. The only part I like is the ending, I guess due to the same reason. It will be Croatia. Italy maybe, if the planets align.

I agree with the top 3. I think it is between Croatia, Ukraine and Italy. That 30 second clip with Jerry Heil could well be the winning moment as it is amazing. And that is coming from me. Croatia is still my number 1 song to win. Croatia has an Great song with great staging. Italy is a really excellent song with a well executed staging.

I agree with you about the three in top, they give me that vibe too. As a song and perfornance, Italy is my favourite, I just don't tire of her. But considering which country it would be most fun to see winning, that is Croatia for me.

Before rehearsals, I thought that either Croatia or Switzerland (or Italy, as an option) would win. But after the traditionally... questionable Swiss staging (you guys have excellent vocalists, please learn how to stage), Croatia remains the main favorite.

I think France is very underrated, there are far too many upbeat songs this year, I am still convinced there is a part of Eurovision viewers that love ballads so he could get a reasonable televote from them and also a good jury vote. I agree with you about Nemo maybe it is a bit too out there and not everyone will 'get it' the first time they hear it. Croatia hits you immediately, it's fun but also talks about something that many Europeans have dealt with: leaving their home town. I am Italian so if Angelina wins I would be happy, but actually I think Croatia deserves it more, I think its time a different country wins Eurovision.

I don’t think I have commented anywhere about Ukraine? No seriously. I don’t hate it by any stretch of the imagination and Jerry Heils vocal is outstanding and that’s where my view of the truly positive points stops. The song ambles and has no clear verses or chorus. It doesn’t have any outstanding moments. The rap is ok. The staging looks to me a bit like Hera Bjorks staging. The big rock has been done before. The whole package is just very ‘meh’ and for some reason people are losing their minds over it and predicting a win. Sorry. Not buying the Kool-Aid. To me, it’s not bad. It’s average.

It’s coming down to Switzerland or Croatia. This idea that juries are not going to go for Nemo in a big way doesn’t hold any credibility with me. Italy and Ukraine I don’t feel the songs are strong enough.
Why do you think Italy is not a strong enough song ? It came number 1 in MyEurovision Scoreboard, Eurojury and second in OGAE.... clearly is a good enough song.

What's mainly ignored is the usage of Playback singing. It's ridiculous how many entries are using this as default to hide their bad appearance.
The Jury reasonably do not favor songs, where we hear mostly Playback singing. Check for Norway 2023 as example.
That's the reason, why Ukraine should not be preferred in such a manner as you do. They are using playback chorus nearly hole over the Time. Netherlands just missing singing; it's not existent. That's the reason I see France, Italy and Croatia in Favor to win.
I'm from Croatia and would, of course, want my country to win. I have a feeling this will depend on the televotes, as the jury will probably crown France or Ukraine (which aren't my cup of tea, with all due respect). Italy and Switzerland are the strongest contestants, besides Croatia. The biggest surprise for me is Norway, they're completely different from the rest, their song transports me into a northern fairytale, it totally grew on me and also they play some unusual traditional instruments. Go, BL and go, Norway! Also voting for Israel and our neighbours Slovenia and Serbia, as I love their songs. (Slovenian "Veronika" is also about a legend, actually based on a true story, and Serbian song bears the name of an endemic flower that blooms in harsh conditions, being a metaphor of hope). 🌿
Italy is winning this. Angelina will win the jury vote and will be in top three in the televote and the overall winner.

This is shaping up to be the most competitive Contest in recent memory (even more so than 2021), and there are so many ways this could go.
I’m personally hoping Croatia 🇭🇷 pulls off the win, or at least a country that hasn’t won in a long time (like France 🇫🇷 or Switzerland 🇨🇭). I like Ukraine 🇺🇦 and Italy’s 🇮🇹 entries, but they both have very recent wins within the last five Contests and either one of them winning would feel a bit anticlimactic for me.
I’m not planning on taking part in the Rest of the World vote (I’m in the U.S.), but if I did, I’d probably give most of my votes to Croatia.
What a year!!! There is such a case for us to be excited for each of the 6 potential winners you have mentioned!
I feel maybe Ukraine feels the most "fabricated" song of all 6, it is the one that woukd excite me less.
But just imagine Croatia or France or Italy... Or Nemo!!!
camera movement and camera angles are going to be very important, it’s a TV-show and based on the very short clips alone, we can only guess who will be the winner.
I completely agree and feel it will be either Croatia or Ukraine.
Croatia will win the televote imo and I don't see them doing too badly with the juries either...it might be very similar to Finland last year with a decent jury vote and considering probably it's difficult for a country to match Sweden's jury vote from last year, they will win eventually.
It will be very close with Italy and Ukraine.
Switzerland will do much worse than expected imo.

1. Switzerland - Very experimental, very unique, great vocals, might be too jarring if seeing it for the first time. Staging, but mostly the outfit, is too weird
2. Croatia - More televote friendly, ethnic elements, more widely relatable story of immigration, don't know about the juries
3. Italy - Radio friendly, bop, Queen, has potential to do well with both judges and televote, staging is a downgrade from Sanremo
4. Ukraine - Immaculate vocals and staging, people underestimate it's televote appeal, it has been a fan favourite too so I will have absolutely no word about pity points
5. Netherlands - Too weird, incredibly catchy, juries will tear him apart and there's too many televote friendly songs this year for this to win on televote alone. The ending part, while genuine, feels bizarre after a rave dance break
6. Greece - Queen. She will make us proud I know but I don't think we're winning. Top 10 for sure though
7. France - Great vocals. Could pull a Marco Mengoni or even a Barbara Pravi with the televote but I don't think he's winning
8. Belgium - The party's slowly starting to end 😅😭 It will still do well for sure but it ain't winning
9. Norway - I think the rock / ethnic / Viking fans may unite for this but I don't see it within the top 5
10. Lithuania - Catchy, cool, slick, good visuals and dancing / vocals combo. A good effort, might be better than people expect or worse than I expect, hard to predict this one 😂

This will be a 2021 type of contest: top 10 songs will receive lots of votes, 21st to 26th almost nothing. But there is a difference: in 2021 all knew Måneskin, Barbara Pravi and Gjon would have ended in the top three overall after the rehearsals. This year I still don't have a top 3 and obviously I don't have a winner yet.
Our prediction is Italy 🇮🇹 I think they will be Top 3 in both Jury and Televote, the other favourites Netherlands 🇳🇱 and Croatia I think will spilt the votes between each other which will favour Italy 🇮🇹 and Switzerland 🇨🇭 final top 5 our prediction is Winner Italy 🇮🇹 2nd Netherlands 🇳🇱 3rd Croatia 🇭🇷 4th Switzerland 🇨🇭 5th Ukraine 🇺🇦 not necessarily our favourites but I think the above will get a strong Jury or Televote and in Italys case both which will secure them the win.
I’m a little bit disappointed that your top 6 haven’t changed at all. There are 2 outsiders coming into the picture after rehearsals. Ireland (Bambi Thug) is definitely in there.The song is theatrical and we have only seen the tip of the iceberg with what is going to be presented on Tuesday.i think it has what it takes to win the semifinal and could take it to the top. United Kingdom are also on for a good result. The staging looks jaw dropping and ( apparently) there is a Eurovision version. It’s definitely going higher than anticipated. May not quite get the push it needs to take it to the top.

1)ANGELINA : She has it all( most important the quality of the song and even more important her charisma on stage).When I saw her on San Remo stage I had to admit that she will be the winner of that contest( even if she had a really high quality rivals). She's THE PERFORMER!
2)Ukraine : I don't know how they manage to find , every year ,this quality of artistic offer : the song is beautiful and the singers are really outstanding
3)France : especially Slimane's vocals; nice song but nothing special
There are some other nice songs or interesting performances but nothing breathtaking .

sorry, dont you think that France's melody/song from a musical perspective its just too simple for the juries to vote in masses? If you take his vocals out the song has nothing else going for it, thus highlighting its simplicity. Juries don't only vote for the vocals, they vote for the whole song, they appreciate a complex melody, in sync instruments, a dance etc (or at least don't vote enough to make the entry the jury winner).
I am not saying it is not going to do well in juries, top 3 most probably, but not winning it for sure. Just think about what I said please. Great videos!

Agree with your main 3 and maybe Switzerland .
France have no chance because of the televote and the Netherlands have no chance because of the juries .
In 2021 i voted for Italy, but the bulk of the televote from the Netherlands was for Voilá, so a French chanson definitely has some televote appeal. Especially if not many of the ballads make it out of the semi finals, then all the people who aren't too pleased with upbeat or loud songs will only have a select choice for a quality ballad.
I do feel that too many ESC "fans" are so hung up about the "girl bops" or "bangers" that they tend to forget that not everybody likes the same thing & people _will_ vote for a 'Bridges', 'Voilá' or 'Molitva' if it comes along.
I'm not personally convinced Ukraine is winning just because I'm not super sure if it'll do all that well with juries (at most I see it placing in the 6th-9th range with them). It's most likely gonna do well in the televote and I think it's a lock for the top 10 but I'm sure if it'll be enough to secure a win.
France is a weird one because I do think it'll probably win juries but I'm not really sure what will happen with the televote.

The staging is PURE ART! This balancing element and breaking the code is sensational and something we have never seen before in the contest. It would be a huge mistake not to give Nemo the trophy.

But I will try, if I follow my heart want Netherlands to win, if I follow what I saw in the snippets , Ukrainia is what I liked the most, mesmerizing, goosebumps, if I think of the Jury, Italy wins. I love the fact that Ukraine is a major contender, which makes the prospect of finishing 2nd place is great too because if Ukraine wins, the country finishing 2nd will definitely hosting in 2025 on behalf of Ukraine, like how we saw in 2022 (Ukraine won but the UK whom finishing 2nd got to host in 2023).

I wish others would make the same distinction. There is another very highly watched channel that has France as her number 22 prediction - behind Moldova, Spain and Albania. Absolutely ridiculous. regarding the comment about nemo not trending in switzerland, that's because people here are not big fans of eurovision, most of them find it silly and political and i dont really know anybody who watches it. i've gotten a few of my friends into it and now they're hyped about it but if you were to tell someone here that youre an esc fan they'd probably laugh in your face.
also many people here are very conservative so to have a nonbinary person wearing skirts represent them further proves their point that the contest is a joke and a circus
Well, Eurovision wasn’t popular in Croatia either. I’m one of the weirdos who are into it, and also majority of people who watch the final have no idea about the songs before it. Still, this year everyone is crazy about Baby Lasagna and everyone knows the song.
@@Ardnasper i didn't know that about croatia but as i mentioned in my edit, people here are very conservative and therefore not fans of nemo and while they made some appearances on tv, their song is never played on the radio so yeah the majority of swiss people may have heard the song once on tv, seen its from an lgbtq+ person and decided not to listen again which is sad

Juries didn't like Jacques (Croatia 2017) and Cezar (Romania 2013) so I am afraid that they might overhear Nemo
I would like to think that the juries vote for the song and performance that they believe is the best, not to avoid controversy. If not, why bother to have juries?

Mmh...I think France will win the jury vote and Croatia the televote. This will probably be enough for Croatia to win, but Ukraine, Italy and France also have good chances 😊
But for me the biggest mistery is Israel, I'm really curious to see how the current situation is gonna affect the vote, both jury and televote.

Se l'anno scorso ha ottenuto un ottimo sesto posto con una canzone mediocre, figuriamoci quest'anno: la canzone ha un grande potenziale e ha un'ottima presentazione scenica, e otterrà punti sia dalle giurie e soprattutto dal televoto.
Francia 🇫🇷( Slimane ha una bella voce, ma la canzone è proprio basica!!!) e Italia 🇮🇹si mangeranno i voti a vicenda.
Per me la Croazia 🇭🇷 arriverà seconda e la Svizzera 🇨🇭....non so.

I'm so happy you think Ukraine will win! They were my first favorites! I like a good handful of others, but this is still my favorite. I love Bambie Thug, but don't think they're really in the running, although that would thrill me. But I like several of the other frontrunners too, so overall I'm expecting to be happy with the results. :-)
All in all, I’m rather disappointed, from what I have seen so far from the rehearsals, but maybe this will change in the semis.
Switzerland: Not sure about the staging and the outfit, it could go either way, but don’t underestimate Nemo as a performer, he is still a contender for the win
Croatia: I love Marko and his song, but the staging still looks a bit messy and amateurish to me, but this could also make him more approachable, Top 3 for sure
Italy: I’m also glad that they changed the outfits, the performance looks solid and stylish, a Top 3 contender
Ukraine: Staging, outfits and visuals are ok, but don’t excite me that much. Probably Top 5, but not a winner
France: I get Pavarotti vibes from Slimane and also some macho vibes, which I do not really like
Netherlands: Never was my cup of tea and the song felt rather annoying to me soon, although I like Joost’s personality
Greece: Lost most of the creativity from the music video unfortunately
Norway: I started to like the song to a certain extent, but it gives me too many odd 70’s retro vibes
UK: dropped 20 positions in my ranking, after what I have seen from the rehearsals clip
