This is literally my prediction too and my ideal qualifiers!, i just NEED all three of portugal, serbia and slovenia to go through and is tough being a televote semi only but i think cyprus could flop and luckily we get to see these 3 queens at the final!!, praying rn 🙏

Pleeease I want Slovenia to qualify so badly. The only song in my top 10 I'm scared about. This year really is competitive

Totally on same wavelength on finalists! Usually bookies get one or two wrong. My favourites here are Slovenia, Croatia and Portugal. Cheers from Canada!😊
I hope you are right and both Serbia and Portugal will go through since I kinda thought they fight for the same place (both of them are ballads) and I wish Slovenia the best, I stan Raiven.
I honestly think Portugal are going to surprise a lot of people when the results come out - the running order has helped them MASSIVELY (for once) and I can genuinely see a top 4-5 finish in the semi final (would be higher if not for croatia ukraine and ireland) - running order does count for a LOT people, especially when you can wow an audience like iolanda can. by contrast, i'm SO scared for serbia - I'm DESPERATE for them to qualify because it's such a beautiful song, but the staging looks a bit messy right now and, again, running order is looking likely to screw her over
That messy staging is all the organizer's fault and I will be so angry if they ruin her performance with their bad camera work and off-beat lights. She complained right after the first rehearsal and from what I heard they said they would fix things on dress rehearsal but still hadn't fixed camera cats. They failed to fix them in 3 rehearsals, so I doubt anything will change for tomorrow. All they needed to do was repeat the same cuts from the NF. I am starting to think that the Serbian national broadcaster has the best camera workers across Europe since Serbia's performances always look better on NF than ESC at least when it comes to camera work. How embarrassing is that for all these big national broadcasters and the ESC organizers.

Agreed, Portugal got a great response in the audience during rehearsals. Its very impactful.
My qualifiers are in random order - Croatia, Luxembourg, Ireland, Ukraine, Portugal, Slovenia, Lithuania, Serbia, Azerbaijan and Cyprus.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I'm a little bit worried about Slovenia, Azerbaijan and Portugal my own country,🤞

I will be shocked if Slovenia doesn't pass...its not everyone best but its quality art unique on point, charismatic

1) Croatia - this has semi-final winner written all over it.
2) Ukraine - I don't think it'll win the semi, but it's going to come close.
3) Lithuania - slick, professional staging.
4) Finland - the joke will land - this is something that a lot of people watch Eurovision for.
5) Ireland - the staging has elevated this so much. It went from Hot Topic to full-blown dark ritual.
6) Luxembourg - return to Eurovision narrative + ideal running order slot = yes, it's getting through.
7) Portugal - POWERFUL vocals and impactful staging. Goosebumps.
8) Poland - I don't like this personally, but Poland has sent worse and made it. It's just so messy...
9) Cyprus - wondering if the contrast between her and the opening act might make this NQ, but so far it's looking current and clean.
10) Serbia - I adore this, but I wonder if it might get lost between Cyprus and Lithuania. It's borderline in for me.
11) Slovenia - I want to be wrong here. I LOVE this song, but I don't think it'll resonate. The staging needed more dark drama and flare, like Ireland.
12) Australia - It looks a bit slapped together. Love the song, though, especially the didgeridoo.
13) Azerbaijan - the song is fine, but not memorable. The staging really doesn't fit it either.
14) Moldova - lovely vocals, but the song is missing something and the stage looks empty.
15) Iceland - she's lovely and talented, but the song is dated. I don't think the wine mom diaspora is saving this.
I really hope slovenia qualifies over Poland or Cyprus (although i really like cyprus but i do think Slovenia is more unique and interesting.And deserves a place on final)

I'm too scared to predict as 2 of my top 5 songs this year are uncertain to qualify, that's Slovenia and Portugal. I'll be heartbroken and will need comforting afterwards if they don't qualify !

I also hope Portugal, Slovenia, Serbia & Australia go through,(in that order) but i'm bound to be disappointed i fear.
Id just like to say you are my favourite esc youtuber , you all ways give your own spin on your analysis and as someone who isn't into classical music and all of that its nice seeing that perspective

The broadcaster may have killed Cyprus' chances. With Chanel and Eleni Foureira as the broadcast-opening acts and then Cyprus opening up the contest I think the difference in quality will show. I do agree with your overall qualification list, but I do waffle on Australia/Slovenia/Serbia...

It's in a slightly different order but we have the same prediction! We'll see how accurate we are tomorrow evening...

Greta vid. Ireland is coming out of no where. Well not for those of us who have believed in this song since the start. They are a true artists and am so proud we have an artist of this calibre representing the green of Ireland
Agreed for the most part. I don't like Finland and Poland but expect they will qualify. If either of these don't make it in place of Cyprus or Australia, I'd be okay. I'd be completely shocked if the remainder of the eight songs miss out.
I have almost the same list, but with a few differences. I have Azerbaijan qualifying over Finland. Azerbaijan decent staging and comes later in the night, which increases their chances. Although Finland does have a decent time slot and nice staging, I’m afraid the vocals may not be there. The televotes can be surprisingly harsh against vocals sometimes.
If Finland does happen to make it, then It’s also possible for either Azerbaijan or Moldova to edge out Serbia, because unfortunately Teya Dora has a very bad slot in the semifinal.
The only other difference I have is that Luxembourg is in the middle of the pack. Tali has a great slot, and the song can be a bit of an earworm, which will play into her favor.

I agree with you. Sadly, I don't see Cyrpus qualifying this year, not because of the song but because they are opening the show. So I don't know if people will remember this song. Also the staging feels a bit empty.

I'm back, but I've seen your last two vids, just hadn't commented as been busy ^^ Hope you enjoyed your solo travel.
So, my prediction, in running order:
- Cyprus (Borderline - has been underwhelming and could be the shock NQ of the year. I don't think it will be, but it's not impossible)
- Serbia (Borderline - Probable 10th place, but I think it has enough support)
- Lithuania (Safe - has help, it's catchy and memorable, will even probably get left hand side in the final again)
- Ireland (Safe - not every day you can say that

Dont know what to think about Serbia... production keeps ignoring serbias delegation wishes for more close up shots but in recapitulation clip camera shots are super wide and far and focused on public on big final chorus.... teya is not happy with it

I agree with everything you said. I would love for Australia to go through instead of Poland, but the energy that they put forward on stage was not enough to make up for bare staging. I also think that Poland should be punished for once again taking the safe route. They should have gone with jann and justyna imo.

I find it quite surprising that Rachel didn’t seem to notice that Ramonda takes an exceptionally long time to build up. I don’t understand why they wait until the last minute to generate better momentum. I’m concerned that Serbia might not qualify.

I have the same qualifiers. Although not exactly in the same order.
Very tough to predict some of these. My only disagreement with your list of NQs is that I think Cyprus qualifies and Serbia doesn't. Due to the running order, I think Portugal will siphon off a ton of votes that would've otherwise gone to Serbia.
After what we see I think Ireland have the best shot to take it all scary good 🔥🇮🇪 well done Ireland I don’t like the song but hell this something I would vote definitely
I'm not kidding - i think Ireland is coming for the televote trophy! So unique. The song isn't something i would listen to on its own but with the performance it comes together so well!
I will die on the hill that Croatia is a bog-standard unpolished rock song with a charistmatic singer who has been overhyped due to the fandom's post Kaarija depression. It will go through of course, probably top 5, but i can totally see it not winning the televote.
One part of me wishes Iceland & Moldova can make it for the sake of chaos.

1st Luxembourg, 2nd Cyprus, 3rd Lithuania, 4th Ukraine, 5th Portugal, 6th Azerbaijan, 7th Serbia, 8th Croatia, 9th Australia, 10th Finland, 11th Iceland, 12th Moldova, 13th Slovenia, 14th Poland, 15th Ireland.
The trouble with Serbia, Azerbaijan and Portugal is they are very much jury friendly material, and I think they will struggle to get votes from the public tonight.

I find Portugal more likely to qualify than Serbia, because imo it's much more memorable and I also like it more.
I think it is totally opposite - I think Serbia will qualify and Portugal no, exactly because Serbia is more memorable in the sea of fast songs. Plus, goosbumbs moments.

I disagree a little with you. They have a clear concept: the superman myth and the cosmic egg myth from Finnish paganism are quite ingeniously put together in a gentle parody tribute to the 1990s dance music. The world is born from an egg laid by a goldeneye + the superhero is born from an egg, half-naked, and only becomes the superhero Windows95man when he puts on his magic shorts descending from heaven. In the end the big bird who laid the cosmic egg and the superhero rejoice and dance together, happy.
Combining all this in 1990s denim fashion & dance music, with its super cliche music and themes, 'freedom' -- it is not empty, it is a conceptual art performance. I am from FIN and my jaw dropped when this won, we were just laughing uncontrollably at home. You can call it trash, but definitely not empty. There is a lot of symbolic stuff going on there. It may qualify or not qualify - but empty it is not 🙂.

I think it has to do with what is happening in Armenia after Artsakh was de-occupied last year.

@@ulviyyamaharramova5910 I didn't say the opposite though, Artsakh is a part of Azerbaijan according to international laws and Russian "peacekeepers" were occupying that land. The problem starts when the sultan of Azerbaijan starts to do provocative actions towards sovereign Armenian territory with the cover of "liberation of Nagorno-Karabakh".
Rachel likes Azerbaijani’s song, but she’s doing a prediction of what is going to happen… I do like the song very much myself and would have it in the finals instead of Finland or Luxembourg but everyone know the public prefers uptempo or even joke songs… A prediction has nothing to do with personal taste… Unfortunately 5 songs will not go through. @ThePeaceAround I get it. Blanka was just massive in Poland and Solo was number 1 for months before Eurovision.

I doubt that all these can qualify: Serbia, Slovenia, Portugal. Ukraine will hoover most of the “sentimental” votes and leave very little to Serbia and Slovenia who also loses out to Ireland. So I see only Portugal advanincing from this batch
