Archie my 11 yr old was raised on raw and home cooked food and I still make him home cooked food today, he is allergic to chicken so I usually do beef/turkey and veggies. Zucchini, broccoli, and sometimes sweet potatoes blueberries eggs and sometimes cheese. No rice because it has sugar and can cause yeast which can cause skin issues...

My breeder was feeding my female BT Purina puppy chow when I picked her up to bring her home. I transitioned my BT to Purina Pro Plan Lamb & Rice Sensitive Stomach & Skin; and she'd doing great. Not much gas, and it seems she burps instead of poots if she has gas in her tummy. I'll probably stay w/Purina Pro Plan Adult Lamb & Rice Sensitive Stomach & Skin when I need to transition her to adult food. Her hair is silky and shiny too; she's a beauty!

Thank goodness mine are healthy . As a breeder I stick with what’s been proven to me to keep mine healthy and long lived . Yes feed mine puppy chow unless I believe they’d do better with an upgrade within purina line . There’s so many opinions now about dogfood I honestly pay very little attention to blogs . Feed what allows your puppy to live a long healthy life ❤️

I have been feeding my pup Orijen since I’ve had him and he loves it. IMO def the best dry food you can give your dog . Anything from champion seems to be pretty good quality. I know Acana can be a little cheaper.

Donnie, I know this is dry dog food;however, my Boston Terrier LOVES 💖 oatmeal 🥣. Oat meal is dried healthy grain, so I wouldn’t comment this is vegetables and fruits. My question to you is…Does Bella your Boston like oatmeal 🥣? Also, what’s your opinion on feeding your Boston Terrier oatmeal? My Apollo loves it!

Royal Canin food requires a veterinarian’s approval. It is most often purchased from veterinarians. Chewy, Amazon and few others carry it, but will not ship it to you without a veterinarian’s approval. If you want to eliminate “farts” This brand of food is the answer. It tends to be a bit more expensive than most other brands.

Royal Canin doesn't have to be Vet approved. At least not where I'm from.. That's what I have always used. Science Diet is the one my Vet has to approve.

I feed my Panda puppy Royal Canin. However she is turning 1 years old this month so I am trying to decide what brand to feed her for an adult version. I am considering royal canin, wellness, Hill’s Science Diet, Fromm, or Iams. Trying to research them and decide which one, any suggestions?

    • @reddagger9089

    • @danyelledillon3605
      @danyelledillon3605 Před 3 lety

Thanks, I figured that. Iams was the last on my list because it’s the cheapest and usually cheapest means not as good so thanks for your input. However, my vet told me that Iams was pretty good. I fed my last dog Iams and he was healthy and lived for 15-16 years. But like I said Iams is last on my list this time.

Royal Canin puppy is an excellent food but it’s expensive. She has no issues with it and she digests it well. You have to get this at pet stores such as Petsmart, Petco, Pet Supplies Plus, etc. or online. But like I said it’s a great food for her. Her skin and coat are always shiny and she’s 13 pounds and healthy. Being she her birthday is this month I am trying to decide what adult food to put her on.... would love some suggestions. It’s hard to look it up on the internet because one site will tell you this one’s better and then the other site will say no this one is bad so it’s hard to figure it out. I went with the royal canin puppy because that is what her breeder was feeding her when I got her. Not sure I want to stay with the brand or not with the adult version because it’s so expensive so I was looking at alternatives but I am trying to figure out what is the absolute best. If it’s royal canin so be it but does anyone else have an opinion what is good for the adult version of kibble?

There is another puppy food from Blue Buffalo called Baby Blue, which is what I bought to feed my puppy when I bring her home. I saw the Blue life protection puppy, but it was several dollars more per bag at my local Kroger than the Baby Blue was, and I’m not sure what the difference is. If someone knows, I’d love to know.

My Boston has been eating Pedigree beef wet in the can since we got her as a pup.
She is now 10 years old and now add 1 tablespoon of yogurt because she has Anal Gland issues that have recently popped up and have to be expressed.
Has anyone here had this problem?
And how to avoid this painful problem for my best friend in life?
She's on a no fat no table food diet.
This problem has been around about 5 years now and I have used pumpkin for sometime, and it worked but now isn't that's why my vet said to try yogurt.
I catch it early as I see the signs , struggling to poop , hard stools, lack of interest in food , shaking a bit from pain , discomfort.
Then she starts throwing up her food , and if you don't get her glands expressed quickly, then it turns to vomiting feces, not good when it gets to that point.
Any suggestions on what to feed her now at 10 years old that would keep this Anal Gland issue from hurting my girl any more I would appreciate some feed back. Thanks!
