Awesome. Glad to help!.
Thanks so much I knew I wasn’t using the clamp correctly!
Your welcome!
Thanks my friend. Kreg conveniently forgot to say that you have to put “pressure on the back of the clamp assembly. I re-did that procedure 10 times without success until i thought……must be a youtube video on “how to”. Thank you-jb
Your welcome. Great! Love positive feedback!!

Yeah it does. :)
That’s a great video, many thanks. Looking to buy a K5 soon I hope. One question, albeit long. The piece that slides up on the jig to set the depth - is that the depth (thickness) of the wood that you are boring the hole into or the other piece that the screw ends up in? Also the setting for the collar on the drill bit, are you setting that for the thickness of the wood you are boring the hole into? Then (finally) how do you choose the correct length of the screw. All of this is assuming that the 2 pieces of wood are different thickness’. Oh sorry, another thought, does the length of screw vary if you screw into the edge of the board or the front face, as available clearance will differ.
Complicated lol. Its all explained in the manual. There are many variations depending on the situation you have.

@@ForestToFarm many thanks. I will try and get a hold of the manual before I buy just to get my head round it!!
Cool video! What the table do you use?
Exactly what wanted to ask!
Ha ha. Its a precision piece of equipment! Custom built. You don't find a product like that on the shelf. :)
Terry
:)
Good vid. Would have been complete if you showed how to set the depth stop on the drill bit.
So much to cover, so little time. :)

Dear Brian,
I have bought an aluminium version of a pocket hole jig years ago. I have to say although it has it's uses, personally I am not a great fan of it & therefore seldom use it ((nothing wrong with product). I guess it's the same as with biscuit jointers, some folks swear by them, personally I prefer using a doweling machine over the Festool Domino which apart from the price condemns me to buying their silly priced dominoes. I do realise pocket holes are very strong & handy, it's just a question of preference & what one is confortable with. Kind regards.
I agree there are lots of ways of doing cabinets and joinery. Some are better for one application while another is better in a different situation. The Pocket hole jig method is not the fanciest by any means but for the average guy wanting a good end result and not having all the many expensive tools required or skills required to do decent cabinet and other fine wood working the Kreg pocket hole jig is an economical and effective solution that does a great job of producing a quality end product. My friend who is a cabinet builder uses the pocket hole jig as one of his main tools and he produces some high end cabinets that are setting in gated community houses. He has a current job going for $45.000. He has lot of work and what he likes about it is its fast and effective with good end results that people are standing in line for. Hope your trip is going well.

@@ForestToFarm Dear Terry,
Thank you very much for your courteous & comprehensive reply. I was merely speaking from a personal perspective & as with many projects, there many ways to skin a cat . You just have to use whichever method works best for you. Kind regards.
No problem, I understand and I agree and your method is a more classic method and in the long run a stronger way of doing things. They are all good but its all in what a person wants. I guess in today's demanding world its all about production and getting it done the quickest way possible and still having a result the public will accept and enjoy.
Terry
By the way its always good to hear your suggestion. Sounds like you take pride in doing quality work.
Terry
@@ForestToFarm Dear Terry,
Thank you very much for your courteous reply. One task, many different ways to approach it. What matters is the end results. Like my mother always said " if it's worth doing, do it well or don't bother". Quality work reflect your own personality & to boot you get a sense of pride & satisfaction that you seldom gets elsewhere. Kind regards.

😁
I was like. I know that guy!
Hmm, trying to figure out who you are. I know a few Nicks. :)

@@ForestToFarm I follow your channel about those boom sticks. I cant believe you dont have more followers than you do. The editing and format is extremely informative without being boring.
@@nbtholl1 Ahh, OK. Thanks for the compliment on our work. I think that over time the channel will grow organically as in as people find us naturally. A lot of people promote their channels. We just let it happen. Once we get building our homes and start all the farming stuff I think we will see some huge numbers. Either way we are here to stay. We love what we are doping.
Terry
Looks like a nice system. That pricetag, though!
It works great. Does what its supposed to. This bench model really makes things go faster, easier and more accurately.

If you smoke, give up cancer sticks for a month. If you go to fast food, give it up for a month. If you drink soda, give it up for two months. Then, you've got it, no extra charge. Life is up to you.
Can this also do metric?
I believe they sell one that does.
Terry
Why the 3 holes?
For different size stock.

First comment, "YOU GUYS STAY UP WAYYYY TO LATE! LOL, Like how would I know that! LOL
I hear ya. People ask how do we get everything we do done. We tell them we do some of it while you are sleeping, lol.
Terry
The only thing I don’t like is the shop is a noisy place and I can’t hear two clicks!
Humm. I will work on that ha ha.

Oh and I forgot to say, Ive been a carpenter for about 30 years
We enjoy carpentry. Been thinking about getting a builders license and building a few smaller spec homes to see how things go for us.
Terry
@@ForestToFarm Good luck to you!!!
@@jonathanbolding4164 Thanks!
You didn't either bother explaining how to set the collar depth. Thanks for wasting me time.
We can only cover so much. The instructions manual does a great job of explaining how to.
