This game brings so many good memories of my childhood. After coming back from school my mom said she found a really fun game and this was it. We spent hours finishing the game, she even let me sleep late because she wanted to see the end too.
As a kid I remember being too stupid to figure out how to beat peach. I somehow didn't realize the flowers were platforms

I know all the songs in Koopa's are remixed versions of previous Mario songs, but the main theme really does slap. Oh the nostalgia.

Koopa: literally kills evey single soul that has anything to do with mario or peach just to revenge his dead family
The yoshi doesn't need to die though, they are thrown into pits by Mario, and they don't even eat enemies on purpose; if you zoom in you can see Mario punching them.

Thanks for making a video about one of my games. I know this wasn't a world record competitive type of speedrun, but you can make the Peach fight faster by hitting her with fire breath twice on each cycle.

Thwomps are just lifeless stone guardians that work for whoever owns them. They don't specifically work for Bowser. But also Mario has killed them with things like the Hammer Suit and the Super Star.

Also, you do realize that it's possible to try to take back land that's been invaded by someone else, right? That's literally how invasions work, and why you typically want to kill _everyone_ if you're invading them.

Good god, this one takes me back. I remember not being oddly fascinated with the game despite not knowing what was going on.
A depressing story about a man so filled with grief, so emotionally wrecked, that he becomes a hateful monster. Corrupted with the promise of revenge, Koopa goes throughout the world, killing indiscriminately, becoming more of a monster Mario ever was. Filled with lust for violence, Koopa becomes the villain once again. “You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain”.
So nostalgic to see this again, thank you for showing game.

fun fact: mario doesn't kill any gombas or koopas. according to the world explanation of the original game, koopas get inside their shells and gombas disappear for a few hours.
the people mario really kills are the toads, that bowser turned into bricks.
I feel like you could very easily interpret "disappear for a few hours" as them trying to cover up the fact that he killed hundreds of Goombas and are just saying all Goombas look the same. I honestly wouldn't doubt if Mario was Goomba-racist.

I recall play this as a kid man this brings me back.
The plot is kind of set in an AU where both Heroes and Villains change their roles.
It starts of as a birthday party in Bowser's Castle with the guests being Galoombas and a single Koopa Troopa. When the Koopa Troopa goes to the bathroom, Mario and Co. break into the party and murder every Galoomba there, along with kidnapping the remaining survivors, so Koopa has to rescue them and kill Mario and Co. for revenge.
The Sequel starts of as a direct continuation of the first game, with Koopa now bringing a Goomba and a Shy Guy with him to (Spoilers) Rescue a captive Bowser inside Mario's Doomship. During the chase, the Doomship brings out it's weapons and shoot down the three Heroes' ship to the land below.
How many of you would like to see a speed run of killing every single mob of this game by eazy speezy??
