Wowee it's been a hot minute since the last time I made a video!
I'll try to upload to CZcams more frequently, but it's definitely been difficult due to work constraints as of late.
But for now, here's a wonderful tutorial that has been highly requested!

Pro tip: make sure the mask is a ventilator, your Walmart covid mask won't protect you from toxic fumes.
what. Ummmm i am now scared. My school made 3d 4th and 5th graders spray paint a fence. We had no protection. There was like 25 kids O.o
@@ravena1041 it might have been a type that doesn't make fumes??
@@lilacfeathers8892 Ok that makes A LOT more sense! Thanks!
@@ravena1041 There is no type of spray paint that doesn't create fumes. It's literally aerosolized paint. It is a fume. Complain to your school about it.
I thought you said toxic furries for a minute đ
Omg thank you so much!!! I was beginning to stress on how I was gunna do my fursonas pink, yellow, and blue gradient toungue đ
Lemme guess, pan pride tounge? Lmao

Same, or some of the tips can be used to make puppets. (Mythical creature puppets)
Tried this tutorial at long last and I have some tips for people who want to try this as well :)
1. Try using a lighter base and a darker shader.
I used this tutorial to add depth to some minky raptor feathers. The base is a medium gray and the shader paint is a dark brown. The first coat worked fine, but was not dark enough, so I had to do a second pass. This added some rough texture which I was not in love with. It works! But if you want to keep the soft texture of your minky, use a light base material and a dark shading paint for minimum paint application.
2. keep your distance with the heat gun.
It will burn the minky fibers if you get too close for too long (already mentioned in video, but I thought I should restate) Since my material is dark, I was able to spray over the singed fibers just fine, but it adds unwanted texture.
3. Use painters tape/masking tape to add patterns!
I used masking tape to cover parts of the base material to add texture/shine to the feathers I made. Worked VERY well and I would recommend this if your character has vine patterns, flecks, etc on the horns.
All in all, I'm so glad there's finally a viable alternative to airbrushing. Heat guns are extremely useful for MANY aspects of costume making, so its a good, cheap tool to have around.
This really help now I am going to make my oc as a plushie :)
Awwww a plushie??

My sister told me about you and Iâm so happy that she did!
Your voice is so friendly and charming! I love youtubers that are like that!
Edit: Could you possibly make alternate tutorials that include cheaper materials? Not just for this, but for other things as well.

This is such a clever idea! I can't wait to try it. Thank you Nef!
These came out fantastic!! Well done as always!!

Neffertity, your tutorials are the absolute best! Your explanations are so clear and your voice is so soothing!
Hi Neffy! I loved this video and I definitely will use this in the future! Canât wait to see more from you đđ.

Very helpful tutorial! I wanted to make an ombre tail for my aquatic suit but wasn't sure if the airbrush would be the best way to go about it. I will totally be using this method!

Hello Neffertity! I love your vids!!! I was wondering can you made a playlist / video of all of your tik toks? Ty!
As far as video content I would love to learn about, is how you create your patterns. If someone commissions a fursuit from you, with lots of unique bits, how do you create the pattern for it?

Hi! First of all, I want to say your video is amazing. đ€© However, I live in the UK, and I can't seem to find many of these Krylon spray paints. Does anyone know any other recommended spray paint brands?
Edit: I've done a bit of research, and I've found out that Montana Gold is one of the best bets to use on fabrics. Actually, your video has inspired me to make a plushie using spray paint, so thank you very much!
you just gave me a new favorite word; bonkin'
thank you
Could you make an eye tutorial? Love your videos
Really neded this!
Oh my goodness thank you so much- this was exactly what I needed- I'm planning on making my fursuit's entire tail as a rainbow gradient- that is- when I get the money ;-;'
Just be aware this DOES NOT WORK on fur
Okay, thank you!
Iâm kinda new on making fursuits so I donât really know how to sell them and stuff :/ I have made 5 suits and the 3 of them is trash but Iâll keep trying
I made 2 full suits and Iâm working on my 2 full suit right now while Iâm watch you and listening to you and your awesome tips :D it takes me about a week to make a full suit cuz I donât need to go to work cuz Iâm a child Iâm 12 UwU so yeah also thank you so much for all the tips and just being here on CZcams to learn new makers :)

Nefferitiy to airbrush :
*Im about to ruin this mans entire career*
Mmmh I would like to give that effect to a future Fursuit, but with a more long fur. Hope to see a video on that too in the future âșïž Itâs not a request, but I just trust you and I hope to see how you can do that. I will try myself anyway XD
I've done a few experiments with gradients on fur, but it only seems to work in small patches
Neffertity: you need a heat tool
Me: we gonna try the hairdryer anyways
Can you please do how to make glowing plushies if you can that would really be amazing!
You need a very special fabric or fabric paint for that
Hey I was wondering if you would possibly do a tutorial on how you make you massive drag behind dragon tails. A they look amazing and I would love to make one in the future!
this is sooo cool!! can you use this technique with luxury shag fur?
Unfortunately not.
The paint would clump and stick the fur into a gross matted mess.
@@Neffertity ah, thank you for the advice!!
Wow! I was wondering for sometime if you could make a torial on how to make some fur suit legs!
How would you recommend cleaning a piece like this? If itâs almost waterproof, would a alcohol based fursuit spray be ok? Or would you only use water, and clean it as little as possible?
thsi rlly help!
this
wow....just wow....HOW DO YOU LEARN THIS!!?!!?!?
(also thanks for teahing me how to sew ...kinda)
Not sure if you'll see this, but how would you use spray paint for specific patterns? Would you cover the areas that aren't being painted with painter's tape to stop it from affecting the other emails?
Eek someday can you make a quad suit!
Pleeassee give us either tips or just basics of a fursuit!!! Im so curious!
Early! YAYYY!!!
Wonder how good this would look on my wickerbeast?
ive been wondering this for quite some time but have been too shy to ask buttt could you do a tutorial on how you did tamba's large wings? and possibly if you could do a moving dinasour/ dragon foam tail? just wondering if not I still love your content both on youtube and ticktock
HALO LOVE YOUR VIDS! Um I need some help can you make a Vid in how to properly brush your suits and if you have can you link it.
I have a question how do you make dragon wings? That's what I'd really like to see and maybe dragon paws that go on your hands.
Hi! I was just wondering what I would use if I donât have a fur suit brush, I was thinking of making a suit soon.
You would LOVE sublamination. I use it and Iâm telling you YOU WILL LOVE ITTTT
I want to save up for a sublimation machine eventually

Hi there! I am attempting to make my first fursuit but I am not sure on how to do the paws and such for rabbits. Any tips?
Hello! I'm realitivly new to fursuit making, and really enjoy your tutorials. And was wondering if ya could do one for eyes?
Hi! I was trying this method and figured it might just be best to ask you directly what Iâve been struggling with. This video had been super helpful! Iâm actually trying it out on my own personal suit :D it looks great, however.. Iâm having trouble making the fabric stay âsoftâ after spraying and sealing it in.. is it supposed to feel rough afterwards? I would get it being a little less soft, but it doesnât even feel like fabric anymore.. Even brushing it out didnât seem to help.. I donât know if youâve encountered this problem, but I wanted to ask how you avoided it or what may be causing it? Iâve tried less heat, more heat (always moving my heat tool), spraying lightly in bursts and from further away, but Iâm still having trouble.. are there any tips for doing this that you have? Iâm using a plain white minky fabric from Howl fabrics, and three various shades of the blue Kyrlon all in one. Thank you for your time if youâve read this!
It sounds like you are trying to go for a hard color change.
The more color and layers you add, the crunchier it becomes.
Hey quick question what do you use for the eyes for your fursuits?
Can you do a dog/wolf tail tutorial
I wonder whether using fabric spray paint would help or hinder this method... Because it's meant to be used on fabric, so it's probably a little different from normal spray paint, but it also might be more waterproof because it's meant to go on fabric. Though I'm fairly certain it's meant to be used on cottons, not minky, fleece, or felt.
Did some research and almost forgot to come back to this comment but the probable answer is: probably not any more more waterproof unless it is partially an absorbent fabric. Which would be less effective for this method as it is unlikely to be a fabric that could melt.
It would however in theory work the same as regular spray paint if that's all you have.
I really want to make a fursuit one day. It looks like it would be a lot of fun. Hard and time consuming of course, but itâs something Iâve never done before and always thought was cool. Problem is, you need money, a way to get supplies, and some basic skills/knowledge, none of which I have. Since Iâm still a minor and canât drive (hey, about a year and a half left!) nor do I have a job, yeah, money is an issue. My mom, sheâs amazing, but sheâs not exactly a fan of furries.
Iâd like to try cosplaying too, but once again I run into the same issues. I guess Iâll just have to wait.
Plushie making looks interesting too... Actually now that I think about it, I could probably start there.
Kalaski fursuit making is extremely fun! Iâm working on my first suit now and Iâve only got the foam base done and Iâm super happy with it. of course trial and error come into play with it but just take a bit of time to research a few things and youâll get the hang of it ;3 the foam I got was about 20 usd and Iâll send the link if you need it! I think fur would be the most expensive.. just donât over buy or under buy what you need. itâs best to start with a pair of paws or something small like a plush (as you mentioned) because if you go for a body suit or something large chances are it may not look the best or you could grow out of it. The thing with your mom, yes itâs a bit cliche.. but you could always say itâs a Halloween costume or try to explain furries in a better light to her :3 I have a discord if youâd like to ask me anything else ( Potato Cat#6843 )
@@potatorcat Ohhh hey thatâs super cool that youâre making your first one! Yeah, Iâm probably gonna make a plushie or paws first to kinda get the hang of it. Growing out of a fursuit though shouldnât be a problem considering Iâve been done growing for a while lol but yeah if I ever make a full suit that wonât be for a very long time. But if you donât mind sending the link to the foam then that would be great! I might come back to it later on.
Does behr spray paint work? And can I use a hairdryer?
Hey,I need a little bit of help. How do we make the headbands with flowers and feathers?
I watched your video on how to customize a raptor mask and I was wondering if you could a tutorial on how to make a dragon mask using the raptor mask or even the T-Rex mask. I honestly just started getting interested in the furry fandom and I've always liked dragons.
I just need some fun spraypaint!
Any tips on faux fur gradients without an airbrush? I know a heat gun melts fur fibers very very easily, so this method likely wouldn't play out well.
I want to make a fursuit and my main fursona is complicated. Would you recommend going for a different design or go for my full complicated design?
omg first view! i luv youuuuu
