What I like to do, is cut the fingers and palm out, shave and then trace the paw pads on. I find all of the long floof to throw me off when I trace them on.
are you talking about a real human and or making the paw. Sorry for bothering haha, just wondering. ^v^
@@kezpez17 making the paw?? I don't think that would be very comfortable to cut my fingers off and applique paw pads onto them haha.

It's CRAZY, you wouldn't think it but puffy paws use SO MUCH fur! And they take forever QwQ
Oh and thanks for the tip on how to mass-produce claws easier :D I always struggled with them ^^'
If you mess up a pattern, you could use a different colored marker to draw over it so you can reuse the space! :3
Also you could use a pencil so you could you erase it

@@Arlecchino__father I also find that in SOME fabrics, erasing it may damage the fabric. (Of course not all fabrics, just a warning, spot test it first :)

Yes! I've been waiting for one of these. Cant believe I was early!
Maybe I'm just really lazy and stuff, but the general way I enjoy making paws is by just making a pattern for an entire paw with the fingers, paw, and sleeve already drawn out and then trace it onto fur, cut it out, and then cut the same pattern, but backwards. I then take the two pieces and then sew them together. I feel it saves a ton of time and you can always add claws or paw pads. I make sure to sew it backwards and then flip it to the right side. Adding extra stuffing for it to be more puffy is a different story honestly, but this is just a little look into an impatient fursuit maker's life

Sometimes I watch the timelapse part of the video in 2x speed just to have a giggle. BTW, watching tutorials like these is exactly what got me into the furry community. I'm still kinda on the outskirts but I really really want to make or own a fursuit

Hey skye! don’t know if you’ll ever see this but i absolutely adore the tutorials you do! you have helped me become more comfortable and confident in being a furry! your tutorials have been so much help! i’m so close to finishing my fursuit, all i need to do is finish the tail! again, you’ve been so much help- ilysm :D
Tip: trace your hand! Get four sheets of paper or cardstalk, (if I spelled it right) and trace your hand on the first one, and on the edges add an outline, bigger than your hand. For this part DONT USE FOUR! USE TWO! Cut paw beans and shapes on the two pieces then cut out your hand paw bases, with four pieces of cardstock

I feel kind of silly now... When i made paws i used to cut out the pawpad pieces individually and sew them onto the vaguely correct area, so sometimes they would catch in the seams of the fingers when i sewed the 2 halves together
