The root cause of histamine intolerance can often be traced back to a problem in the gut including SIBO, SIFO, dysbiosis, low Secretory IgA, a food sensitivity or intolerance. On the flip side, histamine intolerance can contribute to and worsen gut problems and so it creates this ongoing bidirectional vicious cycle.
#1 Histamine is an immune chemical messenger and Histamine works by causing your blood vessels to swell, and dilate. This in turn allows your immune fighting white blood cells to quickly find and attack the infection or invader.
Histamine intolerance is something very few doctors are talking about with their patients and yet it’s one more piece of the health puzzle for those struggling with symptoms of IBS and SIBO that I want you to be aware of.
In this video I’m going to share
    1. Four ways histamine intolerance develops when you have SIBO
    2. Some of the things that might be causing your histamine intolerance and
    3. Take you through a step by step approach how I helped a patient who had been to several doctors for histamine intolerance and what we did to help her.

They've ruined my entire life. I found out histamine intolerance can cause pvcs. I swear if I can heal this I will write a book because I've never had a symptom worse than 1000s of skipped heart beats every day. They're so distracting that I didn't even take my other histamine symptoms into consideration.

I think stress is more controlled by fixing the issues that are causing the stress rather than trying to lower the stress. If a problem exists that’s stressing you out it’s difficult for some to eliminate the stress. I’ve had hives for over 5 months now and it’s causing me stress because I don’t know what is causing them. If they were to go away my stress would go away.

Insightful video. The case report displays the complexity of things. There is not one quick fix. I was diagnosed with mastocytosis more than 10yrs ago after 2 anaphylactic reactions. I got super acid stomach, brainfog... Note, histamine can make tired AND alert. Often times I was alert/nervous. But also I could eat a kiwi and go to bed. Brainfog/fatigue got better after starting antihistamines although these can cause fatigue on their own. Despite the medication I started reacting to virtually any food. Even plain water caused weird sensation in the mouth. I read that some people with that condition end up eating only plain rice. In that moment I decided not to end up like this. I started ignoring light symptoms and eat everything unless it causes stronger symptoms. With time I tolerated more and more foods. Half a year ago I even started fermenting veggies. I considered buying one if these non histamine producing probiotics to use it as a starter. But in the end I decided against it. I do wild fermentation on a variety of veggies, with this I believe to get the most diversity. And we know that in diet as well as in the microbiom diversity is key.

    Hi Doctor Hagmeyer.
Thank you so much for your Video. It's the best one I have ever seen, and I have watched loads. The lady you spoke about, is just like me. I'm 72, and I'm in a dreadful mess with my health. I don't know who to turn to any more. I have seen so many Doctors, had so many tests. Blood tests for a past time. St scan, Petscan, x-ray, ultra sound, so many drugs, antibiotics, PPI, and supplements coming out of my ears. I live in the UK, and to find a functional doctor is almost impossible. But I did have some tests in Harley street. London, several years ago. I tested positive for Methan Sibo. Also adrenal fatigue, mitochondrial dysfunction, and so on. I couldn't take what she prescribed. She wouldn't put me on bioidentical hormones as I had already had breast cancer, from years of HRT and a full hysterectomy at 32, because I had endometriosis. I had breast cancer nearly 8 years ago. The radiotherapy made me ill, and left me with Fibromyalgia. I have lived on pain killers for years because of the dreadful pain I live with every day. Then I went Vegan about 5 years ago, for three years. But I was always bloated, and had flatulence. I started loosing weight for no real reason. About two stone in a few months. My GI Doctor sent me for a CT scan and a pet Scan. It showed the cancer is back and spread to my lungs. I refused any more treatment. I said I feel so ill all the time, I have lost so much weight, hair falling out, skin itching and flaky, and my nails are soft. No one had a clue. So I started researching. In the mean time I got Covid, really bad. It's over a year, and I'm suffering from long Covid. My body is on fire inside and out, and constant itching. I had all this over 40 years ago when I had my hystectomy. Since Covid I have read all about histamine intolerance and mast cell activation. I told my GI Doctor about 4 years ago, that every thing that goes in my stomach makes me ill. I said it's just as if my body is poisoning it's self. He said you have a very bad case of IBS, and you will have to live with it. I'm on antihistamine, and my GP has put me on PPI. She says I have gastritis. She has done more blood tests as my calcium levels are really high. She now thinks it could be my parathyroid gland. She also did typtase levels and other things. I beleave I have sibo, histamine intolerance, and mast cell activation. I also think I have Candida and leaky gut. But things that are recommended for mast cell activation makes me ill. Every day I feel as if I'm dying. I went back to eating animal proteins a boy two years ago. But since covid I'm exhausted all the time. Constant headaches and neck pains. Muscle pains, my joints are always clicking, and my gut is hell. I eat healthy, gave up coffee. I don't drink or smoke. I eat organic when possible. I eat a low histamine diet. I drink two litres of filtered water a day. I drink oat milk. Gluton free, dairy free. I have just stopped fruit all together. I take a few supplements that I can stomach. Most medication and alot of supplements have fillers and binders, which make me ill. My GP is sending me back to my GI Doctor again. But it's going to be a wast of time. My next move is private, a comprehensive stool test, as I can't get this done on the NHS. My GP did test me for H.pylori, which was clear. I'm at my wits end. Every day is a battle to get out of bed or to do any thing. When I eat I don't know how long before I start to feel ill. And what I can eat one day, I react to the next. I'm a Christian, and I pray to God all the time. Then yesterday when searching on CZcams for some thing, I can across you. Are you my guardian Angel. I don't know if you will get to read this. But I pray you will. I have sent so many messages to doctors over the years. Most have never answered. I hope your not one of them. You are my last hope. God Bless you. Eileen.

I have always self healed when Hoag doctors and specialist in OC Calif said I would be dead or disabled years ago. I beat all the odds but I won’t do deugs or surgery and I took my primary all your printed out documents and he didn’t even know what sibo was and of course he says they aren’t real doctors. They have misdiagnosed me for years. But now I’m 5.7 and was 117 now I’m 87 pounds. I can’t hardly eat without vomiting and they say lupus and ulcerative colitis and I have lots of injuries in my spine and neck. I know everything starts at the gut and then this horrible edema that I never had before. My legs and feet got 15 times bigger and I’m very small and the pain was so horrible. But I can’t take supplements because I can’t keep things down. I’m plantbased and my vascular surgeon said I’m protein deficiency and I had a lot of head trauma and then bloodclots now I’m my right leg. My medical records look like a huge book.
I always can handle this and I have come back from the dead. But the vomiting even for the little amounts is horrible, brain fog and pain and the gut bloating pain and Constipation, a functional medicine doctor hear had me do stool test and it came back tons of stuff , intestinal parasite, protein deficiency, on and on but he wanted me to just take supplements, and I can’t hold them down. All those and more I have Dr Hagmeyer. I can’t take it anymore and my adrenals are bad the stress sets me off and I’m alone and can’t afford to be disabled because I have my doggy and we lost my finance to Lukemia at only 35 because of toxic mold exposure but he trusted the hospitals and died. I had mold and aespetos exposure in 2016. It’s been a over decade journey Doc and I wish you were here but I want to know what to do and for the first time I’m losing hope because I try to be so strong but when you can’t barely walk and your an athlete and now I’m skin and bones.
I do drink a Lot Kombuca, so again I think I just need to start from the very beginning with you.
I left voicemails on your website and hopefully talk tomorrow.
I like Dr Haymann too but I have been in the wellness and health industry and lost mom to ALS and have been fighting big pharma and medical world most of my life and I beat it but this time I need help because I emotionally and physically can’t do it and I’m starving and want some quality of life.

Omg! I just read your comment, and I can’t tell you how sorry I am for you! I will pray for you, because that’s all I can do, but prayers work! 🙏
I wish you lived near me. I would try to help you because I’ve been through 20 years of health issues, which has totally ruined my life!
Currently, I have a 36 year-old son who has mold toxicity from his father’s house that is still loaded with mold because he’s stupid!
He’s been living with me in a mold-free home (I had mold toxicity and breast implant illness, so I removed the implants that had destroyed my organs, and I moved.). This mold (including stachybotris) is still in his system, and it manifested about 6 Lyme co-infections because his resistance went down. He was really sick for a year, and
then got Covid, and things went absolutely wild! The doctors he sees mentioned mast cells to him, but never did anything about it.
His doctors (good MDs, who are functional medicine practitioners as well) have him on an autoimmune protocol, but he’s SO sick and nauseous, that I’m researching foods he can eat, even though we eat grain free, dairy free, soy free, low spices, no emulsifiers, no whey, etc., but he needs a stricter diet.
He then got Covid for the 3rd time last December, and everything went wild. His head pressure is out of control, but nothing is wrong with it. I found out about CCI, because he has forward head posture which came from a severe TBI about 8 years ago, but they never looked at his neck! They stuck him in a rehab because he was drunk at the time of the fall. He’s had horrific headaches since then (head pressure), but lived with his father, so I didn’t know about much of this.
He’s SO nauseous, he can hardly keep down any foods in the morning. He’s lost a ton of weight, but it wasn’t intentional.
I’m glad I’m retired from teaching (had to go on disability because I couldn’t think!) so I can take care of him and I can do research, which is how I got myself better, but with the help of a naturopath.
The bad thing is that he is SO negative, HATES our city, although it’s a great little city. I read that mast cells do this to you.
Also, according to Dr. Mary Ackerley, “Black mold, black thoughts.”
I can’t leave the house, because I can’t drive since I broke my arm and now I found out I have Babesia Microti which is alive in my body… not just antibodies, plus 4 types of borrialis. I think I spelled that wrong, so I’m on antibiotics to get rid of this.
We are sending for ourselves because my ex comes only to cook and eat, and do a few things.
We are both running out of money, so I’ll probably have to sell my house.
Best of luck to you, and God bless you! 💕🙏💫

Regular doctors in Germany do test if a)they suspect a deficiency (which they almost never do) or b) you ask for it and pay the test.
I had my mother tested for D3 and B12. The doctor asked me why we wanted this, what we expect from this, like a stupid school kid. I said that 50% of diabetics of my mother's age group are B12 deficient and that's reason enough to test. And that her D3 has never been tested despite being on relatively high dose for long. She couldn't deny. Still we had to pay ourselves (around 50€ for D3 and b12 serum). Guess what, B12 was super low, Dr. called and recommended to go on injections. My mum is much better now.
