- Many of you requested this over the last few months, and we're thrilled to deliver an exciting and Elvis-like rendition of "To Love Somebody." Rather than using the Bee Gees' version as a base, we aimed for something more thrilling, more fitting of the King’s powerful vocal style.
"To Love Somebody" is a soulful ballad originally written and recorded by the Bee Gees. The song was penned by brothers Barry and Robin Gibb and released in 1967. It quickly became one of their signature hits, showcasing their talent for emotional songwriting and harmonious vocals. This timeless track reached No. 17 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States, marking the Bee Gees' entrance into the American music scene.
The backstory of "To Love Somebody" is quite fascinating. Barry Gibb wrote the song with Otis Redding in mind. The Bee Gees were huge fans of Redding, and they crafted the song to suit his style. As someone who owns every recording Elvis made, and have been an Elvis fan for almost 50 years, this sounds absolutely nothing like Elvis - and if anyone thinks it does then you're either tone-deaf or need your ears cleaning out. I'm frankly at a loss as to why some seem to think it does. Believe me, it doesn't!

Another home run in a string of home runs, your decision to build on Nina Simone's version was a wise one. The problem with AI is that it often lacks soul. I have typically defined this "soul" as hearing Elvis take a song to the next level to complete the notes the way we hear them in our head because we have heard him do it so many times. When listening to an Elvis song, fans typically know where Elvis can take a song so the lack of soul is obvious. Yet you have managed to capture the soul of Elvis more than any other content creator; there's nothing here created by the AI Elvis is out of place or doesn't go where an Elvis fan would expect it to go. Well done!!! One question, though. Given this is originally a Bee Gees song and the dataset is a 1969 version of Elvis, was "Words" part of the dataset that created the AI? This was spot-on. Great job!
