The fat is removed through a hollow instrument, known as a cannula. This is inserted under the skin. A powerful, high-pressure vacuum is applied to the cannula. It can permanently remove fat cells (adipocytes) that store fat from a particular section of your body that you want to improve. There are several types of liposuction techniques that are different from each other in some kind of way. They are Tumescent Liposuction, Ultrasound Assisted Liposuction, Power Assisted Liposuction, and Laser Assisted Liposuction.
Will I have scars?
During the liposuction procedure, small incisions are made in order to remove the excess fat cells. These incisions are small and made in inconspicuous areas whenever possible, so they are less noticeable. You should receive after-care incision instructions to care for them after the procedure. These instructions should help to ensure that the incisions heal with minimal scarring.
What happens after liposuction?
After the procedure, you can expect to feel mild discomfort, and see bruising, redness and swelling. Prescribed medications can help ease the discomfort. You may be instructed to wear a compression garment to help reduce swelling and promote healing. Swelling usually starts to go down by the end of the first week but wearing the compression garments should continue until week four or as otherwise directed. Some degree of swelling may last for as long as six weeks, but within a few days, you should be comfortable enough to return to work.
You may have some pain or discomfort.
Everyone’s body is different, and different people have different pain tolerances. Some patients won’t feel any pain post-op, but others do. It’s important to know that some pain or discomfort after a liposuction procedure is normal and not necessarily a sign that something is wrong. We provide every liposuction patient with a prescription for pain medication that you can fill if needed after your procedure, to ensure that you have quick access to pain relief if you need it

Hiii...it depends upon wht type of Liposuction you have done...I usually do a Laser Liposuction and that's almost painless...My patient get discharge next day after surgery and they juz feel comfortable...
