Alan Wade was granted a re-sentencing trial by the Florida Supreme Court and will now spend life in prison without the possibility of parole, instead of awaiting execution on death row.
Tiffany Cole and Michael Jackson remain on death row for their roles in the double-murder, but are both also awaiting resentencing due to the Florida Supreme Court's 2016 decision, according to First Coast News.

This gotta be one of the saddest & most heart breaking stories I've seen for a long time.
That woman had such a rough life from 2 failed marriages... to a murder attempt where she got shot in the face 6 times by her ex-husband... to getting cancer & going through all the negative effects of chemo therapy... having a bunch of illnesses including hepatitis & diabetes!
She only wanted to live her last couple of years of her life with the only person she every loved & loved her back.
And they robbed her of that too.

Oh man, this story always cuts deep. They both seemed so totally in love with hearts of pure gold. Just absolutely horrific what happened to them.
Even before Iâve heard theyâve been murdered, the lead up is distressing. Carol had been through too much already and her and husband were terribly ill. Iâm in tears. This is an incredibly emotive case and beyond heartbreaking. All deserve to die the same way they inflicted pain on that poor, kind couple and buried alive.

I've been following this case almost 10 years ago but it is still psychologically tormenting my mind til today. I totally agree it's one of the saddest stories I've heard. How sick and twisted do you have to be to bury two innocent people alive. It wasn't necessary, they could've worn ski masks to hide their identity and did what they had to do. Buried alive is probably one of the most horrifying ways to go, that or being burned alive
Whenever Iâm having a bad day, this channel helps me remember itâs never ever as bad as I think. I know they are together and I hate that this happened to them. And their daughter is such a kind, genuine soul. Heartbreaking. Iâm happy she keeps their ashes in the same urn. Rest Peacefully đđđŠ

At least they were together they were able to hug each other one last time before their last moments cannot imagine how horrific is it to be buried alive and I can't imagine the betrayal they felt since they had know Tiffany since she was a child and showed her kindness
That's something I really tried to hold onto throughout this story. Their deaths were nightmarish, but before they died it seemed like they were loving and living to the fullest, which is more than a lot of us can say. Such a sweet couple...

When I saw the picture of Tiffany I felt immediately that she does not seem a nice person. People often say do not judge others based on their appearance but, I have often found that you can have opinions based on appearance that are often validated later on based on their actions.
That is just fucking moronic.
I thought the same thing when I saw her. I agree that it's not good to make judgements based on appearance most of the time. You should in most cases have an open mind as people are multifaceted. However, the word 'discrimination' can just mean making a judgement on something based on the information you have. Sometimes that information is the way they dress and look which can be telling. Neck or face tattoos mean the person probably has pretty poor judgement, a criminal past/present and maybe some other issues, for example. With her it was the eyes. She looked like trouble and we didn't even know she was involved at that point.

Thank you for this video, as always very well done. I listen to a lot of true crime podcasts and watch a lot on CZcams, but I have to say⊠for these people to bury those folks alive, and then to see their faces drinking, and enjoying themselves a few hours after⊠itâs just one of the most depraved things Iâve ever heard of.
