When CO2 was higher the Earth was greener! High CO2 encourages plant growth, commercial greenhouses pump CO2 into them to encourage their plants to grow. Why do they really want to reduce CO2, why has food production in the U.K. gone down from 85% in the 1980’s to nearly 40%? Why are we encouraging farmers to retire early? When in the EU why did they give subsidies to encourage U.K. farmers to grow non food crops and to leave ground fallow, why not for food crops? Why are the Dutch getting rid of 3,000 farms? Why are they planning to eradicate cows & sheep by 2030? Why does bird flu keep rearing it’s ugly head? Who knew it has a patent number, who knew that this isn’t a natural virus? Will this be an excuse to cull all chickens? Why are they promoting eating insects? CO2 is the food of life, without it we, animals, insects & the planet will wither & die!

All vehicles are subjected to an emissions test during an MOT. 2. Applying this tax wi not clean the air, because if you are prepared to pay you are still allowed to bring any vehicle into London..3. What REALLY ANGERS me , We have paid out for road tax on our vehicles, therefore we have AN ABSOLUTE RIGHT to drive on ALL ROADS in the UK. Regards Tony Bristow,Woking.

However when I asked TFL if I could claim on my non compliant car whose MOT has just expired, they are insisting I cannot claim unless I tax, insure and MOT my old car first which is crazy. Sadiq Khan’s, to reduce toxic air by expanding the ULEZ to greater London will not work.
He doesn’t really care about toxic air quality and here is why:
    - He has already made the toxic air far worse since he has introduced the LTN’s which have increased the toxic air on the main roads because we are forced to use them as there are no other alternatives, especially during rush hour. The roads are now grid locked with traffic moving at walking pace and the fumes are getting denser and not dispersing. LTN’s need to be reopened as it is causing more damage than good.
Among all this, the mileage in vehicles has also increased due to the fact that we are forced to go the long way round to get to the required destination - all accumulating to even more emission being emitted! Bravo Sadiq & team.
    - The health for pedestrians and children as they walk along these main routes to get to stations, schools, shops is deteriorating. Even the drivers inhale more fumes when we are stuck in stationary traffic. This is really aggravating and makes no sense!
    - Cycle Lanes: Should not be taking up an extra lane of the roads, large pavements could be divided into two for cyclists.
    - The introductions of 20MPH roads are also a problem because emission fumes don’t disperse quickly and the air is getting even more polluted because of the need to drive in lower gears.
Sadiq’s statement: “It is to reduce toxic air pollution” is clearly not accurate and is making matters worse. The situation is getting extremely out of hand and something needs to be done to stop him from ruining our climate even more. He should resign and Londoners should vote for someone who will make London a greater and more desirable place to live in. There needs to be a more logical and strategic plan that is well thought.
