  • I think we are at that point where we have to do fine tuning to our village and all the businesses

At this stage of the game I think we can just fine tune the village and keep learning better and better the game itself :)

I think perishable items in any warehouse or granary will have slowed down decay, not just at the trade house. So you shouldn't need to use the Trade House as a place just to store certain perishables to make them last longer. Using the Tradehouse this way also has 2 downsides.
    1. your people don't take things out of the trade house as they need them. The pig farmers won't take potatoes out of the trade house to feed the pigs when they run out for example. so you could have 1000 potatoes sitting in the trade house, while your pigs are dying of starvation.
And 2. if you are not selling them to other towns, then they are just taking up space in the trade house storage meaning other things can't get stored there.
It would be better to set up a big warehouse and granary area to store all the things, and then only call for the things you need at the trade post when you make a sale. That way the market stalls can call for items from those same storage area's when they need. This will also give you a better idea of what the town actually has. For example. If you set the Trade Post to store 500 shoes. the 1st 500 shoes you make will go there. The rest will go to the market and to any warehouse you set up for them. But as soon as you sell those 500 shoes, the trader will call for 500 more, which might be the rest of the towns supply meaning you will have none left to sell to your own townspeople, causing them to say, "I need shoes and can't buy any, I'm out a' here!"
If instead, you store all the shoes your shoe maker makes in a central storage, when the out of town trader says they want to buy shoes, and you have 535 shoes in the warehouse, you can decide how many shoes you need to keep for the town, and then call for just what you want to sell, leaving the rest in the warehouse for your markets to access when they need them.

You need tree lines along the edges of the farm fields. Tree lines were planted for 2 reasons. 1. The branch's and leaves stopped wind from blowing the top soil away one the fields where freshly tilled. 2. The roots prevented soil erosion from rain. Especially on slopped surfaces.

yes, but this is just in theory and for the looks. The game is not working this way :D

@Skibitth oh, I know the game doesn't incorporate erosion as a mechanic, butbit exists in real life, and so the tree lines would enhance both the aesthetic, but also make it look more real.

Balakliya is the only trader who sells stone so I would be very sparing in its use. A three story rowhouse requires 1000.

I too notice it is hard to right-click to release a blueprint. You have the same problem I have: when you right-click your hand moves ever so slightly, and rt-click + move = moving the map, so you aren't releasing, you are moving.
And houses placed sporadically (1 here and 1 there) looks good, but makes it hard to get goods (warm clothes) to them via Market Stalls because there is a distance issue. Instead, creating small neighborhoods (a dozen houses here and there) spread out around the map each with their own small market area works better, though doesn't look as natural as a single house here and there. And that one house that needed the warm clothes...remember, there is no pathway left open between those huge farm fields. The total path to that market stall may be too long of a walk to buy the warm clothes. Leaving spaces between buildings and fields is important.
And in my opinion, you want to build all of the buildings, even the ones some have flagged as not very efficient (like the tannery), if just to have the experience of seeing the building and giving it a try. For instance, the limestone and stone is limited on this map so will run out soon, and so one could argue it isn't worth building the whole chain of buildings to make Lime, but it is still an interesting set of buildings to see and watch the animations.
That was funny watching you place the new Saddlery right next to the existing Saddlery (oops!) 😊
    Good show!

Thanks! So the right click is just a thing because it also moves the screen (rotation)
The idea with the houses is quite good indeed. I will look to make small neighborhoods
And I just loaded the game to make sure you are right. I cannot believe I put 2 saddlery next to each other LOOL. This is because I took a break since previous episode :)))) and completely forgot what I did in the past

I seem to have better luck right clicking to release if I do it over water where it can't build. But may be coincidence -- it is annoying.
I too think the neighborhood idea with an open market space is good. I got a few through dumb luck and have now backfilled them with rowhouses using their stores and eliminating the markets -- one store = two markets and you can get 5 apartments in the same space as those two markets. Of course, my town is not nearly as quaint or pretty -- more like Roman roads -- draw a straight line on a map and then build it. I do love the look and feel of this village.
I really feel that in future updates, stone needs to be increased.

You should grow some buckwheat for the chickens and the pigs. Save the wheat to make into four, to sell to you peasents.

      @Skibitth  Před 6 měsíci +1

True story! But at the same time it's all about the farms and the number of farm fields. It doesn't matter if I produce only wheat or combine the wheat with buckwheat because at this stage this is what I am producing at the farms. I will have another farm soon

At only 145 population and you already have problems? I have 2200 villagers, 600 cows,200 sheeps,500 chickens and 100 pigs, no problem feeding them. I suggest to put only 2 fields for each farm, alternating fallow one year and the other culture next year,to be sustainable, also the farm workers to have time to gather the products, otherwise you cultivate many fields for nothing, because it will rotten on fields PS: daca candidezi la primarie,nu te votez.....dar daca dai o bere si un mic.....ma mai gandesc😆
