- My eight year old and me did this for fun and we decided to film it.
Eight high-speed trains battle it out on a flat custom map to see which one reaches the other side.

The first gen TGV and the Thalys are the same train just so you know.
No the first gen tgv in the reality goes to 270 kph but in this game the limit is 300 kph
@Graham Duensing Thalys is run by SNCF SNCB and DB when it touch to tgv in Europe its alstom that is the constructor like the AGV the new tgv made by alstom exploit by italo or you have the AVE i think for spain to France which is an modify TGV. But you have other declination of tgv like in usa with the new one or in South korea
@Graham Duensing DB only owns 10% of Thalys SNCF owns 62% of the company NMBS/SNCB owns 28%. Their first route was Amsterdam - Paris. The PBA trains are just modified TGV's they are even owned by the SNCF. The PBKA can drive in Germany and these trans are owned by NS, NMBS/SNCB and SNCF.
@@julesb6816 there are multiple different generations of tgv, the First being the pse or Süd- est, that’s the orange one, the Thalys pba sets are modified versions of the tgv reseau which in real life has an operational speed of 320km/h whereas the original pse started with a max design speed of 260km/h this was upped to 300km/h during refurbishment the pbka is a modified tgv pos set the thalys sets are different from another other tgvs due to there a ability to operate on a huge amount of networks, in game however you are correct, the thalys is simply a reskin.

It's a game. The TGV beat the fuxing hao. That's shows how inaccurate this is

@@Robbedem I think they shouldve used the ICE 3 instead of ICE 2 because the ICE 3 is the fastest train in Germany witha top speed of 205 mph, if it was used in that race it wouldve come second behind the fuxing hao. Below the ICE 3 which would come in third place would be the TGV.
@@animationnkdh3774 the train in the video was an ICE 1. ICE 2 does not have the bulky restaurant wagon and it only has one locomotive. It actually is a high-speed push-pull train.

Yes, there are some fixes in the workshop already. Especially the ICE1 is really underpowered
@@fsclips the ICE 1 is underpowered in reality too. The ICE 2 is even worse.
Capitaen_Proton that’s why they got shortened in the past so they can accelerate faster.
@@peterw.8434 in every configuration used in the past, they were underpowered for use as a high-speed train
Capitaen_Proton the Performance was adequate at the time and it still is in the shortened versions today. They don’t have to climb many slopes either as they are mainly used on routes like Berlin - NRW where the terrain is perfectly plain.
What if you did all trains in the game at once? Or maybe an uphill climb...

It's the first generation, which wasn't that powerfull.
ICE 3 is much better (and the main version used today)

ICE 2: 4800kW, 412ton, 381 passegners, 280km/h 0,031kW/ton / passenger
ICE 3: 8000kW, 409ton, 356 passengers, 330km/h 0,055kW/ton / passenger
@@Robbedem The ICE 1 actually is more powerful than the ICE 3. It just has almost double the passenger capacity.
@@guillotineschnapp3862 You need to compare the weight of the train to the power it has. That's what determines how quickly it can accelerate up to the top speed.
As you already mentioned, the ICE1 has almost double the passenger capacity, which makes it almost twice as heavy.
So the power to weight is much lower.
ICE is one of the best trains in the game, you just need to know how to use train types

please retake the race in a longest .. giant map... difference in accleration, topspeed will differ. for every make.

How did you set all trains to start at the same time? Is there any tutorial vid or something?
I clicked on each train and stopped it at the same spot. Then I paused the game and unstopped them all. Finally, I unpaused the game and they all started driving.

German ICE being left in the dust by a 50 year old Japanese train is a fitting analogy.
The ICE in the video is over 30 years old and faster than the old Shinkansen.
The video shows the ICE 1 not the ICE 3.

You kinda missed the Austrian Railjet. Even if its top speed is only 230km/h for Austrians thats a High speed train lol.
But... it is? The minimum speed of high speed trains is 200km/h IIRC.

Honestly the Acela should’ve accelerated quicker than the other high speed trains. It’s branding actually comes from excellence and acceleration, in which it accelerates very quickly at full throttle

Danny Boy you think 6000 HP per power car is underpowered? Dude what are you talking about... and it’s “overweight” for reasons concerning FRA standards. At least this train hasn’t derailed and killed its passengers, and its been in service for 20 years now.
@@froztytrainfilms9148 It weighs 600 tonnes. The european analogues put out the same 8MW minimum, in some cases more, weighing 400 tonnes AND carrying more people, faster, and with the same degree of safety
Danny Boy the same degree of safety... this is one of the only true high speed trains that we’ve had running in this country. European high speed train safety records could not compare to the Acela. European trains are a lot lighter and are more susceptible to being crumbled than the Acela which is built heavy. Speed isn’t necessarily everything you know, and really they could add more passenger capacity to one Acela set but that would slow down the rate of acceleration.

why urban games is somewhat stupid enough to set the Fuxing Hao's top speed to 300km/h instead of 350km/h or even 420km/h, that's what they do in real life.
Cause 300km/h is the maximum speed for every train in the game.
