For sure there might be slightly different scenarios to do it right, but in the end the outcome is the same! So this are my steps :)

@@maticzupancic943 why it is not perfect? To not take a loan and to have a good economy in this game you need to find the perfect steps. They might differ a bit, but kinda in big words these are the steps. Why is it a click bait? And why it is not perfect?

Good start! It is really hard to plan out a town from a blank canvas. It gets easier later as you can see the other buildings, but that first group of houses in an open grassy meadow is difficult to plan. I tend to build the farm first to give the ladies some early work, but the charcoal piles also provided a similar opportunity.

If you do the farm first could be also a good start. As I was saying, the start can be good in many ways.
I tend to go with bigger gardens so find the charcoal for the smith is more important than the farm. In one game I went for years without a farm as an experiment just by relying on the gardens. Ended up needing the farm for animal feed. Horses just didn't want to eat horseradish.
@tmg7476 I think this is the beauty of this game. There is no actual perfect start. You can do it in different ways

Nice - I have been playing Ostriv on and off for years. Believe it or not game was slightly harder when houses had no gardens and you had to rush the farm. I also still remove pigs at 6 months due to early pig Armageddon.

I don't know why, but for some reason, even though I tried to recreate your same layout in the same map, I can't finish building the 9 houses in September/October...
However I love how you created the village, it can't be easy to understand how to put things together efficiently. It's obvious that I can't do it xD

I think it's actually because of my PC, which isn't made for video games, so I think the NPCs freeze while building and time moves forward anyway. I should try a PC made for gaming as soon as I can afford it.

Have you had a problem with your carpenter not repairing carts? Have you seen white lines in random places?

I emailed the developer but haven;t herd back from him yet.
White lines which disappear after loading. And with the carts too, but it was because the carpenter was not bringing parts to repair them
@@Skibitth Yes the same with me! The blacksmith had metal parts but the carpenter was just twirling his thumbs doing nothing!
Why did you bought peas from people and did not sold them in market?
