To be entirely honest with you her only actual growth this season was versatility as she was capable of memory manipulation this season and she just lifted a 10,000 pound tank here 😭
and destroyed a helicopter after playin wit it like a toy in mid air😭
Helicopter ? Being able to actually fight in someone’s mind ? Being able to revive someone ? Not needing the static noise to go into void ? A lot of growth

It was to regain her powers actually. After season 3, she'd lost her powers after severe over exertion and cuz the mind flayer also took a lot of it. ACC to Brenner i think, he believed that confronting Henry in the past had also caused her to lose her powers. He wanted to bring back eleven's powers by making her relive her memories of fighting Henry, which finally worked, using that Device. She was testing her regained powers by lifting it
