    It’s not even worth it to drive into London. Lack of available parking and congestion charges. It’s better to use the tube.

    Rents are increasing, mortgage costs and inflation still high. A lot of landlords now doing 6 months tenancy rather than 12 months so rents can be increased after tenancy. We just let out 1 bedroom in zone 4 for £1350

    I am curious to know what delicious meals your family enjoy! The twelve min walk to the gym would not have deterred me, I would have maybe enjoyed it, I used to walk 20 mins to my local station to commute and enjoyed that. I have not lived in the UK for ages but am originally from London and enjoyed your video. All the best!

    Good Stuff… £3,500 is fair, could be better but for Zone 9, it’s okay. I do about £2200 for a family of 5. Last year, it was below £2k. I also work in London and considering moving closer but still searching for rent under £1k or house under £250k ish

    A few people have said this already, but your gas bill seems very high for a 2-bed. You should look into why and possibly even half it.

    Oyikan please, lemme chip in this one... Public transport is not cheaper than having your car biko... Time is precious, you get around way quicker in your car, and as for the running cost, road tax, mot, fuel, etc aint more than £150 per month, unless you're going from Aberdeen to Southampton everyday. That £550/month will get you a decent car, you'll have change on top the running cost, and save plenty precious time.

    • @DrHunnay
      @DrHunnay  Před 11 měsíci +1

      Doesn’t work that way if you live in London. My husband works in central London which makes it almost impossible for him to drive to work cos he would have to pay congestion charge(£15/day), ULEZ charge(£15/ day) LEZ charge (£12;50/ day) and parking charge on top of the car fees and fuel costs each and every time he goes into work. So it still works out to be cheaper to use public transport than to drive

    • @Sols_MD
      @Sols_MD Před 11 měsíci +1

      @@DrHunnay Admittedly. Owning newer vehicles, you're exempt from some of these bills. There's the park and ride to cut down on some of them too. But you see that daily parking fee?? Abeg, count me out, I cannot can 😂😂😂😂. I get your points though.

    Your Sky Broadbandatively cheap for £14 a month, but please check on the terms and conditions if they would be increasing it after the promo period.
    With regards to your mobile phones, you and your hubby can still get a better deal of about £10 a month from the smaller networks like Smarty, Talk, Tesco, Giffgaff, etc. A, oid the big networks, and don't worry about the network coverage as the smaller use the mast of the bigger networks.
