    I guessed around £150k as the top salary.
    So mining and banking industries eh!
    Makes sense!
    And the incomes you’ve listed!
    I assume they’re from multiple sources of revenue such as investments and other things?

    Hi Ashika
    When you say for outside London, a 100k salary is good income, do you mean for an individual or for a family?

    • @AbsolutelyAshika
      @AbsolutelyAshika  Před 11 měsíci

      It's good for an individual. For a family it depends on how many members, whether there's another working member and where you live. If you manage your expenses, it's a decent salary.

    • @YouAreJel
      @YouAreJel Před 9 měsíci

      I would say it's great for an individual and good for a family. With this salary you can easily afford a home, a car for you and your partner, family holidays abroad ect.. the only thing you may start to struggle with is if you want multiple children going through private school but that in no way means those children will have a bad education or will not go to a great uni. There are many great free schools in the UK. With a household income of £100,000 you will comfortably be in the top 10% of the country so yes there will still be a lot of people richer than you but you will not be living a bad life by any stretch of the imagination

    Software Engineers earns more & more then what you have mentioned.. No doubt Salary In US is quite higher compared to UK as well Less Tax in US.. Being in IT industry for 2 decades and stayed in both London & Bengaluru. The SE gets much higher in US & UK then a doctor.

      Who says salary is significantly high in USA ? A quality senior AI or Crypto developers earn 180K per annum easily in London. Software developer salary in US is just slightly higher than UK. The only place Us salary is higher than Uk is in California and perhaps NY. No other places in us has higher salary. California has massive taxes, 1 million usd crappy homes, 11$ coffee, 8$ bread.

    There's no meaning for the word rich. How much so ever you get, you will not get satisfaction. You live within your means wherever you are.

    I earn around £42K per year after tax, which i think is pretty good for a security Guard, but i do put in a lot of hours for this!

      Oh absolutely. The same with CEOs. Just like most countries, there is a huge gulf between the average earners and the highest earners.

    I don’t think anyone earning a salary is going to be rich, well off yes, but not rich. In my head rich people are those who have their own business and have millions. I say this as someone who is on a salary.
