If you're new to my channel and videos, hi! I'm Evan Edinger, and I make travel vlogs of all the exciting places I visit. I started travel vlogging about 8 years ago because I wanted to see more of the world and be able to watch back some of my adventures. I also make weekly comedy videos every Sunday on my main channel usually revolving around funny differences between British vs American things! Anyway, thanks for stopping by!

Look how far you've come! I really like your style. Just think back to a year ago...how difficult things were, stuff was in storage, bouncing from airbnb to airbnb. And, now you have a beautiful home where you have created such a lovely space. Well done.
:)
shirtless Evan is good for the algorithm ! makes CZcams go crazy !!
You could do a series where you give interior design advice to your subscribers on a part of their apartment/house where they lack inspiration 😃
👍🤗
brutally roasting my subscribers' trash homeless tents
@@cvspvr something like that 😁
"Shirtless DIY", I like it. You're a very fit lad.
At first I was... why why bother. now I see it all finished. I really love it! Well done, you should be extremely proud of yourself!
Your flat looks so lovely. It's subtle and simple yet when you take the time to acknowledge it things just get so much more beautiful
You're the DIY King!! Well done! And they always say you'll never need the higher math in life... you used yours😂😂
Dust mask when sanding dude! Protect your lungs! But wow does that ever look cool! It must have been very satisfying to have all the pieces come together. Nice work! 🙌🏻
After EVERYTHING you went through last year, I'm SO incredibly happy for you and your beautiful home!! You are really making it awesome!! I love everything. The care you've put into the design just shines!! BRAVO! 👍
Your place is shaping up nicely. This is the fourth year of being in my house and all my books are still in packing crates. The pandemic and the subsequent rise in costs means that a lot of things are still on hold. One thing more, it's cushions over here. Pillows go on the bed.
I was just watching some of your old videos when you just moved in,, wow you’ve come sooo far
I wish i had an ounce of evan’s work ethic! The passion, commitment and thought for every small thing is something to be very proud of 👌🏻
Have you considered a calenders with different poses of you in those overalls? LMAO I'm joking, but I'm also kinda serious.
Not only is your home beautiful, but I also find these DIY videos educational and relaxing to watch.
Highly recommend being bold..try painting the walls in black or darker tones..cover a wall in bamboo..looks fab
Mr. August DIY!
No seriously, that is a beautifull piece of work, a different way to decorate your space, that is'nt seen much.
It's so much fun to watch you transform your house into such an artful space. It's also very entertaining to see how much math you put into it😂
These make me want my own place so I can DIY it
And you DESERVE that congratulations!! It's been a LOT of careful work - planning, figuring, getting materials, measuring, painting - SO MANY THINGS! It looks lovely and you deserve to enjoy it and be very proud of yourself. I'm nowhere near doing the level of precision and expertise you are, but I did take on a big project this summer and your progress and work have inspired me. Good for you!
I know I’m two weeks late to watching this video, but wow, Evan, your living room turned out fantastic! The chevron looks great. I love your style. 🙌🏻
I love how dedicated and passionate you are about your space. It truly shows how much you care.
You can also buy a fake thumb to put over your thumb so you don't get splinters or caulk on your thumb or fingers
The wood effect is amazing. You are working so hard and your home is wonderful, you should be an interior designer now.
I'm nicking your window solution. It's exactly what I need. It looks awesome !!
PROUD OF YOU MY BOY
It looks lovely. You should be proud x
Watching your house come together has been such a fulfilling journey! I cant wait for the official house tour!
Evan, I never knew you were right out of a calendar
Love the chevron wall! It really zhuzhs up the place and makes it a fantastic feature.
Loving how much your home looks now, wish I was able to do some of your style amazing.
looks so good! all of it. and right at the end. the blinds with the pillows (I LOVE those pillows), and the rug. it's so lovely
You did do a really nice Job !
Wow, gorgeous
You have done a superb job. It all looks super
Really like the result! Very inspiring. Can't wait to see the last room :)
"Not that difficult DIY" that just requires math degree levels of trig. Looks stunning but I will never replicate
TRIG IS FUN COME ON
hi evan loved the paneling! have been considering it myself, just wanted to know whether you considered if the ceiling and skerting board lines are parallel, because I noticed in the video you didn't use a spirit level ruler, or if the side edges of the wall (the vertical ones) are parallel? perhaps that may be the reason why the maths didn't align with the practical instalment of the panels? I'm genuinely curious as to why it wouldn't work, would love to hear when you do find the reason
Wow! 👏👏👏
Thank you for the video!
You paused for planes🤭.You in Hounslow..Or feltham or Hanworth.??
I love you in your dungarees 🤩
I see you Evan! Bodyodyody
Hey there! You could sell design plans like some CZcamsrs sell presets!
Where are those radiator covers from? Very nice!
Nice job but it did look good to me before you started. By the way what is difference between the U.S. and British electrical outlets and switchs?
God it's so beautiful!! Why the everliving heck would you cover it up with that big messy bookcase? Nooo please the shelf needs to go, like this you can hardly see it and it's such a shame.
Careful Evan, you get too good and people will start asking you to come over to their house to help out 😜
I’m pretty sure I have the same outdoor table as you 😂, I live in Australia
Good old IKEA came through again ;)
I live in Denmark and have both this and a similar one that seat's 10 people ;)
Hey, was just wondering what grades of sandpaper you used for the wood, did you scale or go (more or less) straight in with e.g. wet and dry?
I used 100 to 120 grit for sanding down the lil wooden slats. I used 240 grit for finishing sand on certain aspects but in between coats of paint I used 120 grit again. No idea what scaling means in that context. soz!
@@EvanEdingerTravel No thats fine, was just curious as couldn't tell in the video. What I meant by scaling was going from really rough sandpaper to smoother, I personally just skip to the grade I need (after the initial pass over)
Honestly, your style is not my preferred style, however everything you’ve done looks so nice. The only difference I would have done different with that wall is add color.
There is enough colour in the space in furniture and decor as well as the kitchen wall that painting that wall a colour would clash and fight for balance with the space. A neutral was the best option
@@evan I wasn’t thinking the whole wall just the trim you added, which honestly gave me a great idea for my own house. I have been lacking motivation and vision since buying in March.
And even though we have very different styles, I think it’s going to look amazing to see your whole house tour before and after shots because you put your all into making it the way you want. Which ultimately, makes opinions like mine obsolete. It’s your house and you’re making it your own. You loving it is all that matters.
I like the living room design but the white paint makes it harder to see.
Welcome to the real world where physical and theoretical don't meet.
Measure twice cut once.
Most projects like yours are done by offering up the slats to the wall to make a master template and then you duplicate from there.
