      Question, you said you went every 15.7.. was that the bottom and the angle piece measurement or the top. If both is 15.7 they will be straight across. Thanks great video .

    I love the finished look! This is exactly what my wife wants to do in the master bedroom. Please be careful using a miter saw in the way that you did. Boards should be back against the fence to prevent the board from flying across the room.

    Girl I bout had a heartattack when you used the miter saw. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't use it that way. You could get seriously injured. Your miter saw allows the blade to slide forward and back, there is a knob that twists on the back of the saw near the two sliding poles. That will allow the blade to move back so you can use the fence properly, just make sure you twist it tight again so it doesnt slide forward while your using it. It looks good for a DIY though👍

      Appreciate your concern! So glad you didn't have a heart attack. But, I've been using my saw for years. Thankfully, all my fingers are attached.

    Thanks for the amazing video. After watching a couple of CZcams videos, this is the design I want to go with. One question though, You didn't minus the width of each MDX from the length of the wall? Wouldn't that slightly mess with the calculation? Thanks.

    • @memyprojectsi9783
      @memyprojectsi9783  Před rokem +1

      Good question. In my head I made sure to measure from the top of the mdf piece. but if you don't account for it, it will certainly mess with the calculation.

  • @roxanneesp
    @roxanneesp Před 3 lety +1

    Love it! How do you figure measurements on the left side of the initial panel? I get how you got the right side but im confused on the left?? (First panel left side) Please?

    • @memyprojectsi9783
      @memyprojectsi9783  Před 3 lety +1

      Thank you! And simply "mirror your measurements" on the left side at a 45 degree angle so that the meeting point is 90 degrees.

    Hi there! New here and fellow CZcams friend 💕. Love how this turned out!!! I soooo want to do this to one of my walls. I heard the paint is from Benjamin Moore but what’s the name of the colour? Thanks my friend ☺️

    Hi, If I have to use different colors like Gold or silver for wood slats only, where the wall color remains dark, how can we paint wood trims and install them with nailing so they should not show nail points?

    • @memyprojectsi9783
      @memyprojectsi9783  Před rokem

      I would try no more nails adhesive. But if you would like to use a nail, use a nail gun it will push the nail threw and then dispense your silver/gold spray paint into a small container and use a fine paint brush to dab the paint onto the molding after you use wood glue. This will give you the cleanest look. If I don't make any sense, please let me know I'd be happy to demonstrate a post a video.

    hey so you got the MDF panels or the timber wall trim? I bought the MDF but it looks too thick on the wall. did you cut them in half?

    • @memyprojectsi9783
      @memyprojectsi9783  Před 3 lety

      Please see 0.35 seconds- 45 seconds for the width. Thickness, is generic. But width varies.

    • @memyprojectsi9783
      @memyprojectsi9783  Před 3 lety

      the boards at 25 seconds are recommended.

  • @jessop1234567
    @jessop1234567 Před 2 lety

    I’m running in to the common issue of the boards sitting thicker than my baseboard and crown moulding. can you think of any reason not to go with 1/4” thick boards?

    Please, for the love of your hands and fingers, learn how to properly use that miter saw before you end cutting something you didn’t intend on cutting. Be safe

    You're right to avoid measuring with tape where possible.
