I can't even imagine what it's like in this. I've been in a 500hp production car and it was pretty scary how you can go from 0 to your face squishing back & the trees around you looking like one long tree in a few sounds. Lol for some reason cameras can't catch this, only the human eye.
I’m lucky enough to have driven a 992 GT3 cup car around quite a tight but fast Welsh circuit (Pembrey) and it was monstrous, the breaking and high speed cornering were the most startling aspects, but the other thing was the noise and the gearbox whine, properly violent and glorious. The gear box was absolutely superb and, overall, it was actually quite easy to drive. Scary though
I know this feeling you speak of and I long to have it again. Lol. When I did the twin turbo swap on my car to get it near 500hp the first drive I took was down a crowded street near Philadelphia that was lined with parked cars on both sides. The first time I got into boost it felt like those old racing video games, it felt like I was sitting still and the street and parked cars were being sucked past me. I've gotten used to the power of my car over time so I haven't felt that in many years.

Coming from someone used to the pull of a 1000cc bike, the fastest car I've ever driven as of yet was a c6 zr1 (640hp @ 3325lbs) and it felt very healthy. Strong, loong pull. This car might win in acceleration (definitely not top speed) with those super short gears, but I bet the really impressive part is the handling since it's a purpose-built track car with very little, to no body roll.

Got to ride an a 992 gt3 cup car around road Atlanta it's truly unbelievable how fast these cars are through the corners and how quickly they slow down.. most insane car I've ever ridden in😭😭😭

500hp out of an n/a h6 is insane. Idk if this is up there in the record books but that took some serious development.
Flat 6 is what Porsche does and has done for years. Its a really well balanced engine and can be turned pretty hard.
@@wrighty338 Subaru does as well. And i'm pretty sure Porsche didn't design this build. And they have never made a production car with this kind of power out of an na h6.

I have seen this engine make way more than that. They are the pinnacle of german engineering.
on stock engine na cars , i think is posible, but bikes of 1000cc do +200 hp stock ... and 15.000 rpms

Superb damping setup -the suspension is not harsh but supple and controlled. The lap time-wise - I wonder - how does it stack up against the fastest cars here? I mean 800-900hp EVOs

@@guily6669 again i think there may be some confusion. The 991 GT3 R is a GT3 race developed model manufactured by Porsche. No aftermarket parts.
@@ethantasou3951 I know that, I wasn't exactly saying it was a aftermarket, but even the race departments from brands make many different racing designs, I just like their body work and generally people just say body kit, maybe I should have just said body work??
Also I don't have a single clue if this is a official GT3 car from official Porsche GT3 category or not cause I don't watch those races for years but I know there's many custom cars out there that like people start with "X" car and fully mod it to other races like HillClimb it's very usual to get a lot more horsepower as it's probably not as restricted as GT3 official category and they could have changed whatever they wanted...
ps: if you know this is an actual official GT3 car from Porsche racing department all stock and listed on GT3 official race, maybe you can reply with some info on it cause I'm not gonna search for it :)
@@guily6669 from what I no and can tell from the footage is this is a customer car from porsche for sro gt3 racing because of the interior the roof hatch and the windows and a few other details tells me its a geniune sro gt3 car
